Food is usually good but they won’t seat a party unless everyone is there. Wow. What a great concept. I want to sit and drink and eat apps while I wait for my in laws. You guys are a bunch of idiots. You just lost money.

My favorite steakhouse hands downs(sorry Dad, beats even yours)! My steak is always cooked perfectly, items are exactly as I requested, servers always pleasant! Had dinner with the parents last Friday night. Place was PACKED! The line was outside and numbers were being assigned to the various parties. Our server,(though obviously tired and a little overwhelmed) did a fantastic job and our evening was very enjoyable! My «usual»: The Cowboy, rare, 1001 Island, steak fries, unsweet tea is my usual. Yes, I said Cowboy! That melts in your mouth giant hunk of beef, all that is left at the end of meal is the bone to take home to my dog!

We came into the Cimarron Steak house for lunch. We were greeted by a pleasant hostess. After being seated our waitress was very nice and took our order. The food came out quickly. The fried mushrooms and zucchini had a batter that was a little to thick but still ok. The chicken fried steak was good. I think the main reason I like this place is that it’s very beautiful inside the way it’s decorated and also the place is huge. You can come in here and have a beer and an inexpensive steak and no one can really hear your conversation because if so loud inside. It’s not a bad little place to go when you want a steak experience that won’t break the bank.

Very disappointed! Went with a group and just about nothing went right. Granted, it was a large group of 15 adults and 3 children. It’s typical for some things to go wrong, it’s another for nearly everything to go wrong. Our wait was at least 30 minutes longer than we were told, it took over an hour to get our drinks ordered and delivered, they assigned one new server to our table(he did the best he could!), it took another hour to get our food, nearly every meal was cooked incorrectly, and then it was a fight to get select individuals a 20% discount. My meal was good, but the portion was small. My biggest complaint was that we arrived at 6:20 and didn’t get served food until 9:30. Both my nephews fell asleep before they could eat. I will not go back and recommend you don’t take a large group!

This is not a fine steak restaurant, however I have never had a bad meal here. I have eaten here for over twenty favorite is the chopped sirloin or the large t-bone cooked to medium rare. I prefer the fries here as opposed to the baked potato. Not really sure why, because anywhere else I would have the baked potato with the steak.

Great steakhouse. Ordered my steak«rare» and guess what??? It was actually rare. Not very expensive either. Will definitely be going here again.

Surpassed expectations. Food was delicious, we ordered the Doc Holiday Ribeye and the Grilled Shrimp and was expecting mediocre food due to the low price. We were wrong, the food tasted great and would definitely recommend Cimarron Steakhouse to anybody that’s staying in the OKC area especially at any of the airport hotels of meridian.

As my Russian friend said, «throw the potato away and don’t bother with the salad, just eat the steak.» A strange endorsement that was exactly right. Service is always bad, the place is always busy. But great prices for a fairly decent steak.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered the Dude steak which is a Kansas strip. It had good flavor but not good color and was tough to cut and eat. Hopefully just an off night.

Okay — It’s all a matter of perspective here. And I read that it’s hit and miss at this place depending on the night. I went in hopeful to find a rare one but seriously didn’t expect much more than one would find with a Texas Road House. Well — I must have caught them on a bad night as this is sub par at best. 16oz T-bone, medium was ordered. It was served WELL done. The waitress saw this and demanded that I get another. This had me feeling better. She returned with a rare slab of meat. I didn’t complain, covered the plate with my napkin and paid. Cooking steaks is not difficult and if you do it several times a day, the expectation is that you can get pretty close to the order. Never returning.

The only good thing about this restaurant is the cool western décor with wagons suspended from the ceiling. The food & service, however, is not worth the price. I ordered a ribeye steak & was only able to eat half of it due to fatty parts throughout the steak.(Maybe I’m used to my husband buying good cuts of meat at home.) The steaks are not seasoned well so I used lots of steak sauce(the steak sauce is good). I didn’t order a salad because all they offer is non-nutritional iceberg lettuce. For a side dish, I ordered the green beans, which were quite tasty so perhaps you can just eat green beans & have a drink… that’s if the waitress comes back to refill your drink, which we never were shown the courtesy of refills. This place just isn’t what it used to be in the good old days :(

Today’s trip was a surprise. My best friend had never been here, so I decided as a little surprise this I would take them. Of course my boyfriend drove us. Surprisingly for a Friday night they weren’t that crowded yet.(So for all you date night people try and be there at about 5:30.) We get seated order our drinks, and an appetizer of Cheese Sticks. I ordered a sweet tea, a medium rare Sundance Kid, a baked potato, and a salad. Of course anyone would be fool not to order the house-made ranch, for it is truly the best ranch you will ever have. After that we didn’t see our waitress much. Unfortunately it was pretty bad service tonight. However, it is not always this way. Despite the service, or lack there of, the food was perfection. My steak was cooked perfectly, my potato the same. It was so good. Everything is seasoned, and you can tell it was made with care. I recommend any of the steaks, a loaded baked potato for sure, obviously ranch for the salad and sides, and might as well splurge and get the sweet tea too.(It’s a nice touch of sweet for that down south meal you’re about to enjoy.)

Three hours ago, we ordered two frozen margaritas. I specified three times during the conversation with the waiter that we wanted frozen. We were served two margaritas over the rocks. When we told the waiter we’d asked for frozen, he said to go ahead and keep the wrong drinks at no cost and he’d bring the correct ones. A few minutes later, he came back and said he had to take the wrong drinks back in order to bring us the correct drinks. Then the manager came over and said in a confrontational voice, «Did you change your mind about your drink order?» We said, «no.» Then she asked why we’d drunk the wrong drinks. We said we’d been told to drink those while waiting for the correct drinks. The waiter was standing there. Even after the waiter confirmed what we said, she continued to insinuate that we were trying to get away with free drinks. She said something to the effect that if she’d been given the wrong drink, she would have let the waiter know and returned the drink which is what we’d tried to do. We just thought the restaurant was making up for their error by giving us the wrong drinks free of charge. We waited several more minutes and she came back to our table and said we would only be charged for the correct drinks as if she were doing us a favor. Then we finally got the correct drinks. The food was great as always and the wait staff was very kind. It is a shame that this happened. I won’t feel comfortable going back until a lot of time passes. As a customer service representative, I tried to explain to her that the way she was chastising us wasn’t worth the business she would be losing. She seemed oblivious.

Even though it wasn’t very busy due to the Super Bowl, our food still managed to come in after 30 minutes of waiting. However, it was delicious! The side salads are small but loaded with dressing, you also get a huge bowl of pinto beans for the whole family. So good! They messed up on my side order and let me keep the other for free. Very pleased on that. My family ordered steak and gave bits to one other. Extremely juicy and succulent, making my mouth water just thinking about it! A definite must try.

Western style restaurant. Wait was a little slow. But the place was pretty neat. It is a little dark in there and my Coworker had to use his phone as a flashlight to read the menu. I had the ribeye steak and it had a really good wood smoke flavor to it. I also had it with a side of fries.

Went here on a whim based on decent reviews here and on other sites. Bad idea Ambiance is fine, cheesy old school cowboy steak house with mounted animals and pictures of horses. Our server was nice and fairly responsive, although a bit slow on drink refills. You do get a good amount of food for the price, each meal includes a side, a salad, texas toast and beans if you request them. The fries, were actually great, some of the best steak fries I’ve had. The salad was typical low end, green side salad. Green beans were a little mushy and not great, but not horrible. The real problem was the steak, which is a bad thing for a steak house. I ordered the Rib eye, and my wife the sirloin. The rib eye is only about a quarter inch thick, which is strange for a rib eye, and did not help at all in this case. Both steaks were ordered medium-rare, the sirloin was cooked just about right, but the rib eye was rare, just a light tan sear on the outside but cold and red inside. With a high quality rib eye, I wouldn’t mind it being under done, but even on the properly medium-rare sirloin, the sub par quality taste of the meat came right through. Also, we ordered corn dog kids meals, for our 2 girls. The corn dogs were nice and perfectly crunchy on the outside, but cold, as in just above freezing, on the inside. I can only assume they are housing them in a way to frozen freezer. Otherwise they were actually pretty good. All in all, under $ 50 for 2 «steak» dinners and 2 kids meals, is a darn good price. But even at that price, the steaks were just to nasty. I have really had better steak at IHOP, that just shouldn’t happen a a so called steak house.

When it’s good, it’s great. When it’s bad, you’re reminded that you’re getting what you paid for. «Inconsistent» seems to be the most appropriate word for Cimarron. I have had great experiences. I have had not so great experiences. When it’s a great experience, you get a decent steak(and some sub-par sides) for an exceptional price and you leave satiated if not entirely stuffed. When it’s a not so great experience, you get a server who insults everyone at the table in an attempt to be cute and funny, gets your ticket wrong, overcharges one person, undercharges another, and when informed that she needs to correct her mistake responds with, «You guys can go ahead and figure it out between yourselves.» …(–_-) … Don’t get the Cimarron rice. Don’t get the free«Simmer-on» beans. Get your steak. Maybe balance it out with some green beans or something so that your bowels don’t come to a complete stand-still. Ask for your salad dressing on the side. Eat your salad. Eat your steak. Eat your sides. Eat your overly starchy bread. Then walk out only $ 10(more or less) poorer as your craving for dead cow subsides. For now.
