Going to FedEx is never as simple as I want it to be, but I feel like it’s mostly my fault. On my latest trip to Fedex, I just needed to print a color copy of something. I arrived at the store, got their email address, emailed the document, and waited. And waited and waited. For whatever reason it seems to take forever for the email to go through to their system. And I’m impatient anyways so that probably doesn’t help. In the future, I’ll try to remember to have what I need printed saved to a flash drive, maybe it will be quicker this way? But the staff is nice and helpful, getting it printed how I wanted on the first time, and showing me how to use the paper cutter! I feel like FedEx’s services are very reasonably priced as well. FedEx will just be a necessary evil in my life I suppose.

I hung out at this FedEx for several hours today, I needed something fairly involved in-and-out in the same day, which was a lot to ask. I didn’t know how long it would take, but since I can work from anywhere, I just worked from there(which was actually a pretty good place for me to work). A FedEx is a FedEx in terms of machines and equipment. In this business more than any I can think of, it lives and dies by the skills, helpfulness and attitude of the staff. So I’m going to spend the rest of the review bragging on this staff, which cannot be duplicated(sorry, I had to). It was a crazy-busy day, I am not overestimating to say a hundred people came in and out of there while I was there. People that come into FedEx need all manner of things, and they all have varying levels of technological knowledge, and different levels of being able to effectively articulate what it is they need. The manager was wearing about twenty hats: he was as busy as any ad agency traffic manager, he was directing the work of several talented staff members, working as a graphic designer, an experienced printer, all while providing outstanding customer service. and aswering about 1,000 questions. Little old ladies want to print a picture, elderly people needed forms copied/how do you double sided/now I need to mail it. This literally went on and on. The manager and his staff spend a lot of their time patiently answering questions. Today I heard them explain to an elderly woman that no, they couldn’t do regular mail, just FedEx, as well as the difference between the two. To an older gent, why a flash drive for $ 14 would be a better investment than a CD for $ 10(and, what is a flash drive anyway?) etc. I was surprised by the volume of business, but so many of these requests required a great deal of patience and kindness. The guys running it were compassionate and helpful, even in the midst of a crazy day. Greg, Joe and Stephen– shout out!

It is a nice Fedex location. Not the best I have been to, but what sets it apart is the staffing. They work hard and are really sweet. It isn’t as nice as the downtown location, cause this one is always packed since its right by the walmart. Not a bad location though.
