I so seldom have such satisfaction when I send flowers as a gift and the receiver sends me a photo. Thank you for creating such a beautiful bouquet and for the same-day delivery! Amy Polo Portland, Oregon

Oh, Hydrangea. How sad I am to have to leave this review. I used to LOVE Hydrangea. I worked for a photography studio for a couple of years, and I always got excited when I found out brides who had hired us had also hired Hydrangea for their weddings. I remember one wedding had these absolutely GORGEOUS orchid arrangements. It was that wedding that I just knew I was going to use Hydrangea when I got married. Luckily for me, a large portion of what I do for my job is event planning. So last year, I used Hydrangea for our company’s annual Christmas party. The arrangements were gorgeous. I couldn’t wait to use them again this year. «If you love them so much, why such a poor review,» you may be asking yourself. Well, it was when I started planning this year’s party that the trouble started happening. I called in July to get our event on their calendar. Then I called back last month to arrange a design consult. When I showed up for our meeting, the door to the studio was locked. So, I knocked. And waited. And called. And left voicemails. And knocked again. I waited for 30 minutes thinking, «I know ASSOON as I turn around to head back to the office, Gene is going to call and say, ‘I am SO sorry, we got stuck on a delivery!’» and all would be right with the world again. Unfortunately, no such thing happened. So, I sullenly returned to my office. I tried calling back again later that afternoon. I tried calling four times the next day. I never heard anything. No one ever answered their phones. No one ever called me to apologize. The next day I met with a different florist(The French Tulip — Mike and Todd are AWESOME! So helpful, so responsive, so sweet and creative. LOVE!). The meeting I had scheduled with Hydrangea was 2 weeks ago today, and I still haven’t heard anything. But in that time I’ve met with my new florist, created a beautiful vision, and can’t wait to see the finished product. I’m sad that I had to break-up with Hydrangea this way, but what’s that old Marilyn Monroe saying? «Good things fall apart, so better things can fall together.» Hydrangea, you were definitely a good thing. But I’ve moved on to better…

Best florist I’ve ever worked with! Gene, the owner, has a beautiful style and every arrangement evokes this style. When flowers from my husband arrive at my workplace, all the women flock to my office to enjoy Gene’s masterpiece. I first met Gene when interviewing florists for my wedding. After meeting with many prominent florists, I chose Gene for his vision, excitement, and style. He worked for many years on the West Coast doing high-profile events, so he offers a sophistication not usually seen in Oklahoma. And he’s great to work with. Gene even hand delivered my bouquet to me so he could kiss the bride. If you want your flowers to blend into the background, this is not the florist for you. But if you want an arrangement that demands attention and is a work of art, call up Gene and his staff at Hydrangea. You’ll love the final product.
