Bar like atmosphere over priced not impressed. Expected it to be a lot better than it was.

This was quite a let down. The food was mediocre, the drinks were expensive but very watery. It was fun to give it a try, but I don’t feel any need to go back. The fried green tomatoes were tasty, tho.

We went for Father’s Day 2016 and here is our experience. Food was lukewarm and came our way to quick to be fresh. We got our appetizer before we ordered dinner, salads came out really quick and lettuce was brown. Our food came out 2 minutes: how is everything, 2 minutes later: how is everything, 3 minutes later will you need to go boxes, 2 minutes later different waitress asking about to go boxes, 3 minutes later to go boxes delivered,(I just put them to the side), 3 minutes later dessert?, we said no, 3 minutes later different waitress, dessert? NO. 3 minutes later bill delivered, then 2 waitresses circled our table checking to see if we had paid. A 15 minute lunch. Wow. Will not be returning. Food was eh because it was not warm or fresh, but the customer service was horrid, we felt very rushed(the restaurant was far from full) and we all kept apologizing to Dad.

I’d not found anything to compare to the Jekyll Island Clubs’ Shrimp & Grits – until i experienced KDs southwest take on the dish. The stone ground grits were creamy yet substantial; the shrimp perfectly cooked with a nice kick of heat. I totally enjoyed the dish. Strongly recommend. I ordered a side of mushrooms and onions – what the heck, I’m on vacation – which i was pleasantly surprised to find were fresh and not the least bit oily. I love food that that doesn’t grip you with guilt!

Absolutely love this place. Came here Saturday afternoon and wasn’t too busy yet. We got sat right away and I was loving the look of the place. Had Durant’s memorabilia when you walk in his shoes and awards. The booth seats and menus were lined with basketball material it was awesome. There were TVs playing Durant’s highlights and the bar was exquisite lines with wine bottles and lights. We ordered some blue moon beers and chicken wings start– delish! Juicy and flavorful, sauces in the side. My fiancé ordered the pot roast which he loves, was tender and the mash potatoes were delicious. I order s the meatloaf sandwich and it was so yummy I couldn’t get over it! We would def come back next time we are in town!

Very disappointed. Had a bad vibe as soon as we walked in. There were about 7 hostesses chatting it up when we walked in and no one took charge until I walked up and said«uhh, table for 5?» Finally sat us at a table. A waiter then made his way over and told us his name, followed by the fact we would see many faces, which we were okay with because he mumbled so softly that we had to strain to hear him. The next guy that came over to help us was something else. With a lackadaisical attitude and zero personality and without introducing himself he walked up to our table and said, «y’all ready to order?» We said we needed a couple minutes. Well 10 – 15 minutes later he came back and said, «y’all ready yet?» In a pushy irritated tone. Service so far was horrible. Did not feel welcome. The only thing they had going for them was replacing our iced teas at rapid fire pace. For the food, which came out way too extremely fast to be cooked to order. If I didn’t know better I’d say most of it was the sitting in a hot plate. The food was about hot plate temperature and did not taste fresh. I had the honey fried chicken split with my wife, which was as tasty as hot plate chicken can be. It was your average KFC/Churches fried chicken with lots of batter. The Brussel sprouts were undercooked and hard, but the sauce was tasty at least. The mashed potatoes were okay, but tasted like an entire stick of butter was melted into my bowl. And the green beans, I would bet my overpriced experience here that the beans were straight from a can. My other two friends had a Caesar salad which was standard. My brother had the fried chicken as well which he agreed was not fresh nor better than fast food chicken. So for iced teas all around, one split chicken meal another full chicken meal and two Caesar salads the bill after the minimum required tip was $ 97. The waiter then at the end came over and said, «anybody want red velvet cake?» We said no we are full. He said, «coffee cake?» No… were full. So he got the check. When he delivered the check, all of a sudden he was smiling and had some personality. Like he saved all his energy to make an impression for a tip. The experience was driven by energy-less service that put us all in bad moods. The food was mediocre at best and horribly overpriced. While the décor was inviting and the hype that it was Kevin Durants restaurant gave us hope, this place earns a 1⁄5 star for food, service, and pricing. I highly recommend not coming here.

Horrible. Not sure if the people who left glowing reviews were mesmerized by the fact that this is Kevin Durant’s restaurant, or they are huge fans of Church’s fried chicken and thought it was even better because it arrived on a plate vs. in a bucket. The décor of the restaurant looks really upscale when you first walk in, but it doesn’t take long to feel like you have been swept away to the epicurean’s delight of a Disney property cafeteria. The servers have the enthusiasm and interest level of of a clean up team on the tail end of a horse parade. Not to mention, you’ll have about three different people wait on you like a relay race, none of whom ever really introduce themselves or welcome you. Speaking of a relay race, after ordering, the food arrived in about four minutes. Just long enough for someone to probably roll across a warming table of pre-cooked food set up like a buffet, and build you a plate. Only difference is that the buffet is cheaper, and it is all you can eat(for those that indulge in that sort of thing). The final blow is the cost. Fortunately all five of us didn’t go all in on entrees. Two of us split one fried chicken entrée, two of us only had Caesar side salad, and the other had his i.e. chicken entrée. No drinks, just iced tea. The tag??? $ 84 before tip. Do yourself a favor and either find a legit fried chicken joint for half the price, if that’s what you are in the mood for, or get a recommendation for a place that truly has pride in the craft of culinary creation.

Great food but SLOW, inattentive service. Otherwise they would have received 4 stars. I don’t like dinging a place with great food, but our server was slow. She spent more time socializing with one table that it impacted my KD experience! I even asked a manager to refill my drink but they never came to visit our table. They were too busy trying to flip the tables. They appeared to only visit tables that had a complaint. SAD! The fried chicken was very good and well cooked. The brussell sprouts, greens, Mac and cheese, along the rolls were good. The green beans were the only food flaw as they were too salty. Good food! Our server needs more training on how to manage her tables and the managers on how to improve a customers experience. KD is a GREAT guy and it is unfortunate that his employees don’t have his same work ethic and attention to detail. Please note that I wrote this review while seated alone at a table that originally had 4 people. Still not a visit from a manager! SAD!!!

First time here and I hate to give this place a bad review because the ambiance is nice, but there are several factors that come into play as an overall rating. This place is just a comercialized soul fool restaurant. If you want the real deal, go to: Mama’ E’s A Family Affair The Drum Room(For there fried chicken) Now on to my review: Parking is horrible, it took us 30 min of riding around to find parking, which bought us some time, because I found a neat app called Nowait, where you book a table and it shows how many people are in front of you. When I booked a table there were 30 people in front of us. When we got there finally, I checked in, and only waited no more than 5 min before being notified that my table was ready. Upon getting texted that my table was ready from the app, We go to the counter, and it was chaotic. It was a gaggle at the door. Finally I see the hostess, and let her know I was notified and she tells me one sec. One sec, turns into like 5 min. before I was seated. Our waiter was kind of weird, it was like he was trying to be «too cool» or something… Along with him seeming to be spaced out. Like when you would ask him a question, he would look away like he was thinking. Then turn his head back quickly at you, and then start speaking in this low tone. Picture the wrestler«The Rock» he was acting like that. For the appetizer I tried the crab dip(I didn’t see or taste any crab), which wasn’t that good. It came with some sort of hard crackers or hard bread(not sure what it was) but the whole thing was extremely salty. For the dinner, I tried the honey fried chicken… I am not exaggerating, when I say this, but it tasted just like Churches Chicken. To me, Churches Chicken sucks!(No flavor) I got 2 sides which came with the meal, I choose the mac n cheese which was not good. Didn’t taste homemade, and luke warm, with some sort of bread crumbles on top. #weird My other side was the cole slaw, which was«saturated» in mayo. yuck! On the positive side, the ambience and vibe inside is pretty cool, but the true reality is. The food isn’t that good! I won’t be back.

This review is 1.5 stars but I rounded up because I feel guilty giving any establishment only one star. The stars are only for service and atmosphere– it’s a pretty cool spot and the staff was all very friendly. But…the food and drink was so bad I had to take away 3 stars. For drinks we had the fourth quarter, which was more lemonade than anything, and when a friend and I both asked for whiskey and ginger beer they came out so different I had no idea how that could happen with one bartender making identical drinks. We started with the crab dip(with lump crab), but by lump crab I think they meant crab flavor, because the dip was more like crab flavored cheese dip, served with hard baguette crust(they weren’t quite pita chips so I don’t know what to call it). For entrees — two of the group had the crab stuffed blacked catfish which came highly recommended– and it was more like soggy spicy fish with some sort of odd fruit stuff on top. The rice was good. Another got the shrimp and grits, where the solid grits were oddly firm and oily and filled with sour tasting mushrooms. I think she was able to eat 20% before giving up. A friend less hungry only ordered vegetables. The string beans and collard greens seemed cans, so they could have at least pretended they were prepared on a stove my bringing them out warm… but they didn’t. The Brussels sprouts that most of us had were… interesting. I thought I had it he best, I had the chicken and waffles, and the waffle was standard and the chicken was as well. Nothing the write home about but I was satisfied… until a few hours later when I got sick… i should have stopped when I saw a little pink in the chicken but lighting is weird I thought maybe I wasn’t seeing what i thought. I was wrong… So to summarize, just go to hang out but please don’t order the food.

Really enjoyed this place. Beautiful décor and awesome bar. The night we were there it was not bust at all which was surprising because the Thunder was Palying in the playoffs. The only reason I didn’t go 5 stars was because I felt very rushed by my server. The place closes at 9pm and we sat down at 8pm. I could tell they staff really wanted to get out of there. We joked that maybe the Thunder team was coming in after the game. We got the Loaded Friesland and Crabbs Dip as appetisers both really good and very fresh. I got the Ceaser salad and it was delicious and the meat loaf. The Meatloaf was good, not great but I enjoyed it. One big tip, subout the green beans that seem to come with every meal. They were mushy and tasteless. I got the brussle sprouts and they were amazing. I would check this place out for sure. Cheers

For aesthetics and service Kd’s was stellar. Upon entering my party of 7 was promptly seated(on a Sunday afternoon with no reservations) even with another party of a little league sports team of about 20+ waiting on deck previously. The décor, of course 90% KD sports paraphernalia, was placed strategically in the main entrance and his image could be viewed on the multiple flat screen televisions throughout the restaurant. Nice! Our server was thorough and knowledgable of the menu and even suggested items to me that were perfect matches with my vegetable plate. Great! The two stars comes in at the food. I can admit KD brought me once but the food is what would bring me back again and again. Now let me first admit to being a born and bred southerner hailing from Tennessee. So if there is anything I know it would be southern cuisine and BBQ(Memphis). Seeing as how this was positioned as a «southern cuisine» eating establishment the southern flavor was definitely left out of the equation. I had all veggies(somewhat) this day: greens, fried green tomatoes, macaroni, mashed potatoes, jalapeño cornbread. My biggest disappointment had to be the greens. They were canned! Ultimate no no. A technical foul even if we want to go for basketball terms. Macaroni was a creamy, luke warm, cracker crumb crusted fail. No flavor. A missed shot from the free throw line. :sigh: At best, this food was the best form of flattery to southern food because it was surely imitation. The portion sizes were decent considering I had all sides. Others in my group ordered entrees and most entrees were big enough for two adults to share and have more than enough food. If I’m ever in Bricktown again I’d definitely hit up KD’s but I will be sure to eat beforehand. Sorry KD!

Time: 6pm before the thunder home game How many people: 4 What we ordered: — We shared some starters, like catfish tenders, fried green tomatoes, homestyle rolls and a crab dip. All starters were pretty tasty, especially the homestyle rolls n crab dip. The rolls are soft n hot with some sweets on top, it come with an orange marmalade butter which my friend love it so much. Crab dip mixed with parmesan cheese, I expected it would be greasy and salty, but it is not. It’s defiantly worth to try. For the main, we had had the half chicken and grilled salmon Caesar. It is a roast spring chicken, which is fresh n juicy, we had changed the mashed potato to fries which is delicious as well. The Cesar severed with lots of ranch, potion is big and the salmon is tender. Price: $ 60 for two entrees and shared 4 starters. Will return or not: Yes

This place is overhyped, and overpriced. It was great when my friend and I got our food so quick, as if the chef/cooks already knew what we were getting right before we even ordered. However, the food was cold, and seemed like they’ve been sitting on the counter for too long. Who would like to eat a cold fried chicken for $ 18??? Smh. Although the servers were nice and friendly, I have to give them 2 stars. I got the KD’s Honey Fried Chicken.

This place is struggling between a 2 star review for the staff and a 5 star review for the food. The host staff is infuriatingly stuck up and unhelpful, and honestly downright rude. It’s also frustrating that you can’t make a reservation to such a busy hot spot unless you have a large group. This is all very sad b/c the few times I’ve actually been able to eat here were BLOWYOURSOCKSOFFAMAZING. The grits may be the most delicious grits I’ve ever had in my entire short life. Also, their brussel sprouts appetizer can convert even the staunchest brussel sprouts critic.

Seating: wait for booth/table or seat yourself at the bar. Spacious wrap-around bar, lots of seating Service: friendly, speedy. Was automatically given the tall beer, I did not specify which size I wanted. Sat at bar right away, luckily we got there about 20mins before the Thunder/Rockets crowd showed up Food: was in the mood for dessert, ordered the seasonal cobbler but was told what they had was not a cobbler, was more of a cakey-berry dessert. It was good but would have preferred a cobbler that had more fruit. Had already eaten dinner elsewhere but noticed dishes coming out of the kitchen and they looked delicious! Big portions. Drinks: small selection of beers, only a couple Oklahoma brews; didn’t look at the wine list but noticed the enormous glass walk-in cellar! Overall: would go back and excited to try the food; good sports atmosphere

I don’t care what you want! You have to have the honey fried chicken and mashed potatoes. It has been months since we ate here and I am STILL thinking about that chicken. I’m also still thinking about those smart menus. The ones with the finger smears that let me know exactly how disgusting all menus are regardless. Hey, if you have to germ it up, do it in Hi Def. Finally, whatever is going on up front with the host stand? Fix it, Jesus!

Sit down and look around. Contrast the self-conscious upscaliness of the host’s counter and the ostentatious lighting all around the restaurant. And check that backlit menu out! Crane your head the direction of the spiral staircase leading up to a mysterious private room, cue your friend(who knows about these things) leaning over to whisper that’s where Mr. Durant and his teammates go after games. The words«nouveau riche» suddenly suggest themselves to you. But this is the restaurant of THE Kevin Durant, and someone with a backstory that moving, and with talents to put our city on the map(see 2012 finals against Kobe at his peak, and shortly after, Lebron in his Heat heyday), is immune to such cynical irony. As it turns out, this place is not just another athlete’s overreach. Everything I’ve had here is a testament to a kind of cooking that I particularly love – one whose founding principles are twofold:(1) deep fry with love and care(and failing that, bread and bake to a crisp), and(2) don’t stint on portions. So go on! Order the Country Fried Steak and marvel at the size of a steak big enough for a newborn to comfortably lay on(gravy was excellent, steak beautifully crispy, and meat juicy and fork tender). Or try the miracle that is the Honey Fried Chicken, and find yourself faced with a plate of what looks like half the bird drenched in warm syrup, sweet and yet(surprise) fully crispy to the bite. It is not an every week kind of place(if only to avoid courting heart attack). But it is one you should not be embarrassed to add to your every few months rotation. Backlit menus and all.

I was quite surprised by KD’s actually. One surprised it had been opened a year or more and I hadn’t been through the doors. Two surprised by the quality. Three surprised by the service. Why surprised? I am not sure what I was expecting but I wasn’t expecting it to be this good. Got in line via an app that helps cut down on physical wait time. Waited about 10 min in the restaurant. Once seated the debate was on the menu. Knowing the portions here are what the call NBA sized it seemed reasonable to split and appetizer, meal and dessert. Ended up ordering the fried green tomatoes, the honey fried chicken and the red velvet cake. Fried Green Tomatoes — Some of the best I have every had the chance to enjoy, and didn’t really need the sauce on the side as it kind of took away from the tomatoes itself. Honey Fried Chicken, with mash potatoes and mac and cheese — Well it’s half a chicken so tell me you can share. The chicken was really good and loved the honey all over it. The mash potatoes were some of the best I have had in a restaurant. Last but not least the mac and cheese might be the best I have ever had period. Red Velvet Cake — After all of the food consumed I will say the red velvet cake might have been to much and a little underwhelming. It was good but just didn’t deliver like the rest of the food I had just devoured. I would probably try something else the next time. Overall the food was great, the service was great and the resteraunt was well i guess you could say great.

First and foremost, I wanted KD’s because I’m pregnant and the cover picture of that Red Velvet Cake was just too much to resist. LOOKATIT!!! HOWEVER, that is NOT the same cake I was served when I ordered it at KD’s this past weekend. The cake I got was still totally tasty, but you know how it is when you’re expecting something spectacular to appear, and out comes something just kind of so-so looking? I don’t want you to go through that, like I did. So just be warned. It’s not as spectacular-looking as this picture leads you to believe. But it still tastes good. So working backwards from dessert, I can say that the Honey Fried Chicken is very good and definitely the closest to great homemade chicken I have had in a long time. Crispy outside and juicy inside, and shiny with a little coating of honey. Don’t bother with the chicken and waffles plate, though. The waffles are all pre-made and served at room temperature. Not particularly impressive. The maple syrup that came with them was just OK, a little thin. The BBQ ribs my husband tried were nice and meaty, and the sauce was good and thick. KD’s was the first place I have had collard greens, and I thought they were just okay. I have no frame of reference for that, though. The mac & cheese was ooey gooey delicious, with a nice bread crumb topping. Continuing backwards, the Loaded Fries were a great appetizer, and big enough for a group to share. LOTS of gooey cheese. Yum. Ask for ranch. Now back to the very beginning– the wait to be seated. If you download an app called NoWait, you can«get in line» virtually before you even leave the house. I found the quoted wait time was pretty on-target, too, so we only waited 10 minutes or so on a Friday night once we arrive and checked in. The ambience is really nice– reminded me of a upscale restaurant in Vegas. The light-up menus are a really cute touch, and the basketball theme is present without being overwhelming or tacky. I enjoyed my meal here(and we enjoyed that cake later, as the portions were so big I had to get it to go). I will likely return.
