Neptune Sub Sandwiches

You cannot give this place less than 5! I’ve ordered the old Italian more times than I can count and it’s always delicious. Their frito chili pie is amazing and their ice is perfect for the drinks. Love this place!!!

Come for the delicious classic subs with that «secret» dressing with its perfect tang and fall over yourself for the fresh, house-​made bread that’s so, so, SO perfect. Nothing terribly surprising in the menu, but they stick with what they know and they do it extremely well.
My go to is the chicken salad on wheat, with a slightly sweet, perfectly tangy mayo-​based salad with that perfect shredded iceberg and fresh tomato. When I can’t think of anything, I still always want Neptune. It’s an OKC institution for all the right reasons.

Great easy subs to pick, bread is the best part! Service and quick and friendly — this place is a staple in OKC for a quick sandwich that isn’t from subway! If you are comparing it to Lee’s which is just across the street (I overall prefer Lee’s) — they are different sandwiches. Neptune is like a better version of subway to me — way more authentic!

I hate subs/​sandwiches because they always seem to be 80% hard bread, 10% lettuce, and 10% stuff you actually like. But not here, at neptunes every sandwich is so good. Soft bread that doesn’t take up a vast majority of the sandwich and they have several awesome sandwiches. This is definitely my favorite place to go for lunch.

The bread! Delicious! I ordered the «whole» chicken fajita with banana peppers and bacon for a total of $ 9. It was really good-​a nice mixture of fixin’s, chicken and condiments. I didn’t have mayo or sauce dripping all over me or lettuce falling out. And like I mentioned before, the bread was so soft and delicious-​by far the best part.

Ate here for the first time today and it was great! The bread is incredible and the history of the place is very interesting! I highly recommend this place!

My wife and I ate here for lunch the other day and we both really enjoyed our sandwiches. My wife had the tuna salad while I ordered the torpedo. The tuna salad was fresh and was very tasty. The torpedo has a lot of meat on it. The bread is fresh and oh so soft. I recommend you try this place instead of the other chain sandwich shops around.

I order the full turkey with jalapeños and mustard every time I come here.
The sandwiches are consistent and they have a unique quality that I cannot accurately describe.
If you eat here please have a open mind and really appreciate the sandwich artistry.

Besides being a locally owned business, they are always fast, accurate and super friendly. And their bread and tuna is amazing on top of that!

For some reason I have a soft spot for Neptune’s. Sure, it’s not the very best sandwich in the whole world — but they are good, and I love the fresh baked bread (soft enough you could make into a pillow and sleep on it), the simplicity of the sandwiches, and the fast and friendly service.
Be sure to add peppers and onions to your sandwich for a little extra kick. The Torpedo or egg salad are faves.

I absolutely love this place, one of my favorite sandwich places in the OKC area. The bread is almost like a cloud, it is so soft, and fresh. The sandwiches are also really cheap. There is a large variety, especially of sides! The only down side, is the inside closes really early, but the drive thru is usually open until 7. I definitely recommend this place!

Redeemed! Still my favorite sandwich joint in town! Sandwiches are always delicious. Service is prompt and friendly. The drive thru is quick. Also, the fountain drinks are a really good mix.

These do is by far my favorite. The bread is fresh. The prices are cheap. What more could you ask for?
I remember coming to OKC as a kid and Neptunes were all around town. Now this is the only one I know of. Brings back good memories.

Neptune’s subs are phenomenal! The bread is incredibly fresh. Everything I’ve had there is great, but my favorites are the torpedo and the chicken salad sandwich. This is a great place for lunch or dinner– although it’s drive-​thru only after 3pm.

The bread is baked fresh, and is amazing. The rest of the stuff on the sandwiches is okay, lower quality (my opinion) than other sandwich places, but they are still delicious!

I decided on a whim to eat here. I use to eat here daily with my grandmother after kindergarten. That was in 1981. The first bite into the sandwich… the Torpedo… brought back so many memories. Thank you for an amazing and nostalgic lunch, and staying true to what you do! You are a gem!

This place is my go-​to place when I am in the area. I love the idea that they have homemade fresh bread.
There is something about that neptune special’s sauce that gets me addicted to this place! There potato salad is something I get with every meal! It has enough mustard like tang with enough of potato salad that got me hooked!
Today I tried the chicken salad sandwich. I usually always get the turkey but I wanted to change a bit. Although the turkey is fabulous! The half-​size is enough for me but my friend got a whole one and he was not able to finish it. He got the ham and cheese and said he enjoyed the sub sandwich as well as this was his first time trying out the place.
For the price and the food you receive, this place is great! But during lunch time it is packed! They have about 7 – 8 booth and 2 tall tables but when we got there, it was full!
I guess that just shows how popular this place was.
They also have a drive-​thru in case you are in a rush!

All I want is a decent hoagie spot here in OKC, but I see my quest still continues.
So I came in with a buddy who enjoys the spot and what could go wrong with a local food spot. Ordered the basic, Ham & Cheese on a wheat hoagie roll. It came with half a tomato slice, shredded lettuce and sliver of ham. It was such a weak sandwich, but then again it was only $ 2.50 and only made it better since my pal was paying.
By golly was my mouth upset and said at this sad hoagie, more less a weak sandwich. I want to taste the meat and everything and have stuff oozing out the back of the bun so I can sop it up later. Oh well, it was a try and quick let down.
They do offer a drive thru which seems pointless because the parking lot is a bit tight. The staff was friendly, patrons seemed happy as it was lunch rush and I may have to come back to try something else on their menu. Only time will tell.
So 3 stars because my taste buds said so :]

Neptune’s is my go-​to sandwich place in OKC. I love their italian combo and their hotdogs. The half sized sandwiches are honestly enough for lunch because the full-​size ones are huge! The prices are really reasonable and the service was super fast. The hours are centered around lunch but their drive-​thru is open until 7pm. I would definitely recommend that everyone give this place a try!
