I’m being pressured to update this review… Starbucks coffee that doesn’t taste like Starbucks coffee?[1] Ummm, it depends? The coffee quality varies quite a bit nowadays, but the espresso variants are only a few cents more than the cups of regular coffee, and they’ve been pretty consistent for me. So order an Americano, or iced Americano instead of the drip coffee or iced coffee. Great desserts? Not so much anymore… It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen the Red Velvet Cake here. However, they do have Tiramisu that a number of friends swear by. And a pretty good carrot cake that I always stare at, but then talk myself out of actually buying by quickly looking at the nutritional information. Excellent and expeditious service? Still Check. They’re all nice, and move very quickly. Assuming you don’t have someone in front of you who decides to order a bunch of frappuccinos at the same time. You know who you are… Hours are kinda janky. On a normal day, they’re closed by 2 pm, but the last few weeks, they’ve kind of been all over the place. They also have a salad bar(by weight) at lunch, but it’s relatively simple in terms of variety/options. As previously mentioned, it’s not the most strategic placement(or maybe it is?). It’s on the Concourse level of Building A. The correct address is 3435NW56th St; I tried to update it, but Unilocal was being a punk and wouldn’t let me. Concourse = Basement, so wander through the maze-like halls until you’re close to the door that leads out to NW56th St(or thereabouts). If you were to walk(South) across from the Hough Hearing Associates LLC Building, walk to the(covered) parking lot on the left side, go through the South facing door, and you should see Perks to your right. Unless you don’t understand my directions, then… Sorry? Oh right, I don’t think they accept Starbucks gift cards… [1]Note: that is to say, it doesn’t taste like burnt, horrible, low quality, crap coffee that is synonymous with Starbucks as a brand. Come at me, Starbucks bros!
