It seems(based on older reviews) that this location had a bit of a rough start. But my recent visit showed that improvements have been made since then. I gave this FIVESTARS to make up for past reviews that weren’t updated to reflect the recent improvements. Customer Service — Always friendly and enthusiastic. — Drive thru service is efficient and timely. Interior — Consistently kept clean. Food Quality — No complaints. Food is prepared and cooked as it should be.

This particular Raising Canes location needs one major improvement… sometimes the food tastes like the frying oil needs to be changed. I dont know what frying oil they use, but about every other time i eat there the fries kind of taste like burned peanuts. Last time i went, I asked a staff member who straight up told me the GM doesn’t like to change the oil as often as they should… I work at a restaurant and I know that we change our oil twice a week… and we don’t do as much frying as a chicken finger joint. So when I heard that it really grossed me out!!! This problem can easily be fixed if the oil is regularly changed of course. With a place that only sells chicken fingers, fries, toast, and slaw, ingredients and prep have to be on point, otherwise inconsistencies will ruin repeat business.

So much for cutting back on carbs today. I had to cheat on my healthy food choice lifestyle that had only just began on New Year’s. I’m back in Oklahoma where many great child hood memories were created… My verdict on this place: this is a great fast food place that does chicken fingers very well and offers you a simplified menu. Like in and out, you will not suffer from the tyranny of choice… although I don’t know if there is a secret menu. I crave a perfectly ordinarily extraordinary example of a good gas station chicken finger and this just reminds me of Jack Griffith’s that was in Chandler, OK(now named something else). My grandpa and I loved those chicken fingers. All day long. I ordered the 3 finger combo. Fingers have a simple seasoning that just works. It’s crispy, tender, not fatty. It’s like how a chicken fried chicken should taste. Also that includes slightly garlicky, perfectly toasted Texas toast and Cane’s aioli like sauce is very interesting and I cannot turn down a crinkle cut french fry. Instead of soda, I asked for water. It was a HUGE bottle. Blew my mind! Wish Grandpa was here to enjoy Raising Cain’s with me today… pops, when the doctors clears you for health, we’ll toast to Raising Cain’s!

Don’t get me wrong. I love Cane’s through and through. However this one needs improvement. Immediately walking in the door I notice the staff are more interested in the current conversation with one another that’s going on then customers walking in. I got the impression that the cashier isn’t really«in» to what she’s doing at hand as she plays with her iPhone while taking my order. From there, I waited 14m to get some effin chicken and fries… really?!? Da fuck? It really takes that long to throw 4 chicken fingers and some fries in a basket of oil to fry? Sigh… I’m not a dick… but I was a little agitated about the people’s intelligence here haha. Anyway, this Cane’s location sucks and needs work.

Cane’s is always a solid choice. This Cane’s is great for lunch or dinner. Fast and friendly! Oh and there’s green lemonade for St. Patrick’s Day!

It’s nice being able to get your daily dose of fried chicken and southern comfort food without the forced responses from underpaid unhappy«my pleasure» robots. Found my new go to fast food spot in OKC, AND it’s open Sundays!

It’s chicken strips. End of review. More, fine. It is average chicken strips that take far too long to get out the window. If you have one thing on the menu, it is your speciality. That means you should either be the best or the fastest. Canes,(Cains?, I don’t even remember) is neither. They’re chicken strips. You should have the bag hanging out the window by the time a car rolls up, orders, and pays. Oh, and I guess their sauce is pretty good.

When you pull up to Cane’s drive thru you are greeted with a line of poetry, «chicken, chicken, which combo are you pickin’?» For example. Now at most places this may seem like a loaded question, but canes cuts through the excess and offers only three choices really. Chicken finger combo, a bigger chicken finger combo, or a chicken sandwich. You have to love that simplicity. The staff here is super friendly and helpful. The prices are pretty normal for fast food chicken, but it can be a great deal if you get the big combo and split it with a friend, just get two pieces of toast or there will be bloodshed, splitsies isn’t good enough. The food here is tasty. They have wonderful seasoning, really fresh tasting chicken and fries that make me sick because I can’t stop eating them. Best fast food chicken around for sure.

My brother loves this place. I’m not sure what all the fuss is about. Their chicken is good and juicy and since I only eat chicken strips this works for me. The rest of it is «meh». They have one sauce, which I don’t really care for. The fries are too greasy. The bread is good. The coleslaw is ok. I haven’t tried the chicken sandwich which I think is the only other thing on the menu.

I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about this chain for awhile now so I was excited to try it. One meal later, I’m still wondering what the fuss is about! Maybe I went to a bad location or at a bad time because my food was not fresh and little bland. The service was decent and the sweet tea was good though.

I don’t really see myself eating here again unless I have to. My husband had built this place up for so long, and I just didn’t get it. The strips were fine; the sauce just«ok»; however, the place was very clean. I’m definitely a WAY bigger fan of several other places. It is good enough for a quick grab when you don’t have a lot of time or options, but I won’t be going out of my way to eat here again.

There are a lot of chicken places in town. picking a favorite requires trying them all out. Raising Cane’s opened up in the old Steak and Shake in Edmond, pretty quickly after they closed too, I might add. Eager to try the new place we did drive through… because everyone and their brother was going inside. The menu is pretty simple. chicken, chicken and sides. You can’t screw something like that up. We got the tenders with fries and didn’t realize you had to order the sauce as it’s an add on and not included. Ah well. It was OK, but I didn’t think it was all that flavorful as some of the others in town. Being new, I vowed to try it again before writing it off… sometimes you just need to work out the kinks when you’re new. Well, the next two visits were the same and I realized that I just don’t like Cane’s chicken or sauce. Nothing wrong with that… that’s why there are so many chicken choices in town. Speaking of which… now I’m hungry for chicken… where to go?

First impression is definitely a three. We went through the drive-thru the other night after an event kept us tied up from 5P-10:30P without food. We were really happy to find Cane’s both open(as in new restaurant open) and open(as in time of night open). A spirited young lady greeted us in a most similar fashion to Angela G, and we really liked that. The food was good, but not legendary(as I’ve heard from some people). We had a short drive home before we could dig in, but by the time we got home it was definitely a little on the cool side. The chicken was fine, but I wasn’t ripping the bag apart to see if there were any more chicken fingers down in there somewhere. The sauce was good but a little to gravy-esque for it to be anything I would ever crave. Like Angela, I found the fries to be underwhelming. In short, this has taught me two things. Maybe I’m not the chicken finger fiend I once was, and two, apparently Angela G and I agree on EVERYTHING. I’m okay with that. I’m sure we’ll be back, and I’m honestly thankful that it doesn’t seem like it will become another one of my many food vices.

I thought it was just ok. The best part was the girl in the drive thru that yelled«chicken, chicken, which combo you pickin?» The menu is pretty simple: chicken strips, Texas toast, coleslaw, and French fries or you can have a… Chicken strip sandwich. I ordered a chicken strip sandwich and fries. The service was fast and the food was hot but it was kind of bland. The French fries were boring. They tasted like cafeteria French fries. I wanted to be impressed, but I wasn’t.

I’m not very familiar with this chain, so I was curious to try Canes. It’s located on a very busy intersection of Penn and 23rd, certainly one of the busiest cross streets in town. When I walked in, my first impression was that it was very loud. Someone yelled from the counter, «WELCOMETOCANES!!» I panicked, and started asking myself why didn’t I wear my best outfit because surely everyone in the restaurant was staring at me after that boisterous salutation. Turns out they were not, so I approached the counter to have a look at the menu, and the greeter says something to me, but at this point she just sounded like Charlie Browns mother and all that I heard was loudness. The menu was pretty basic. Chicken strips and sides. I went with the value box, which consisted of 4 strips, fries, coleslaw and a drink for $ 6.98. Not a bad deal. The chicken strips were piping hot, and fresh. The Canes dipping sauce was pretty good as well. Apparently it’s a signature sauce. Dining in, everyone seems pretty enthusiastic here, employees and customer alike. Prices were fair, and I found a quarter on the floor. All in all, good place.
