Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with no one in line. It took almost 10 minutes to get my sandwich. The sandwich I got was by far the worst excuse for food I’ve ever paid money for. The chicken was extra rubbery and tough couldn’t bite through it. Would’ve returned it but didn’t eat it until I was already on the plane.

This is probably the worst sonic ever. The staff is completely incompetent and it takes forever to get any food. And I mean ANYFOOD! For a company who’s headquartered here you think that they may want to set a good example. NOPE. So if you’re traveling through Will Rogers airport in Oklahoma and want to have a completely miserable time. Stop by the Sonic and you will be amazed at how stupid some people can be. Way to go Sonic. You’re being represented by a bunch of underachieving employees. They wouldn’t even make good TSA agents, and that’s saying a lot. I kid you not, I have been waiting 20 plus minutes for my food. They call my name and tell me the«cook» put grilled chicken in the fryer. SERIOUSLY?!

Horrible. Staff was arguing amongst each other in front of customers. Inappropriate language. I hope my daughter does not get food poisoning; the place looked unsanitary. Stay away!!!

Extremely slow. Limited menu. If you have limited time before flight, spend the time in a different line.

With the hustle and bustle of travel most airport eateries have quick competent staff that understand people may have just a few short minutes between connecting flights or boarding times. Avoid this Sonic at all costs if you are one of those people. Seemed understaffed for lunch time and the employees appeared lethargic. Menu is limited compared to other Sonics, I would assume in the effort to expedite the ordering and fulfillment process. It does not. The coke zero I ordered was in desperate need of new syrup but by the time I realized this the line was 10 people deep with one cashier and changing out the syrup would have added to the bottleneck. My tater tots were soggy and oversalted but I’m on a time crunch and wanted food before I got on a flight.

The wait for service is long. The guy ahead of me was using some kind of certificates to pay for his meal and was trying to order enough to use them up. From the looks of the cashier was crushing on him so between the giggles and the explanation that he needed for each item on the menu it took a long time before I could even order. I guess the cashier was new because she was telling people it was her first time putting together a particular drink. But slow service seems to be the norm according to other views. People in line were dropping out of line and wishing me luck. The manager came over when the two ladies that were working had a question about the certificates he was using but made no effort to put together food or see what could be done to move the line along. I had time to wait and with limited options in the airport I had nowhere else to go so I waited. Two stars because the cashier was friendly to me and others as well and I did get my tots shortly after ordering.

Probably the slowest service I’ve ever encountered. On a slow Wednesday at the airport waited 15+ minutes for a chicken sandwich. Seriously poor service.

Always slow service, generally rude staff(avoid Ruth in the afternoon). Always double check your order here.

It’s 5:45am and since I don’t live near a Sonic, of course I had to have it. Not wanting to have a breakfast burrito and hoping they had their Toaster sandwiches, I asked if they could make a burger and they did. They said it would be about 8 minutes. The burger was exactly what I wanted and it was served hot along with my tots! Not sure what all the hullabaloo is about service or pricing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The prices are what you would expect especially for an airport location. As an OK flagship company, I too, am surprised that they didn’t have at least one slushy flavor or the Toaster sandwiches which are by far better than the burritos. You can get a burrito anywhere. A-OK.

The worst! 12 people waiting one worker! Pretty bad for this being their home city. More staff would be amazing, poor ownership is pretty apparent and the staff looks like they hate their job!

I love Sonic. I do. Now that I live in Chicago, I have to wait till I head home to Dallas or go at the occasional other places including Will Rogers. They say they’re opening a Sonic in my neighborhood. Opening keeps being delayed. :-( That said, this place looks like a Sonic, has the signage, some of the food items, etc. but has the worst service I’ve ever experienced at a Sonic. As mentioned by others, they are so very disorganized. They seem to have multiple cashiers who also have drink duty. I get that pulling soda or tea is doable by the cashier but anything more involved(see shakes/blasts) should be handled by someone else. It takes way too long between customers because of the ineffective division of labor. This isn’t the first time I’ve witnessed such action here. I’m here a few times a year and it’s the same every time. If it wasn’t for my love of Sonic ice, I’d skip it altogether. Will Rogers calls itself a world airport(what exactly does that mean?) but is more of a regional airport. The concessions here reflect that as well.

The only thing I eat at Sonic is their tatter tots. Not that hard to screw up. But I’m always amazed when it takes 10 minutes for them to work through the three customers in front of me. They either need more staff or better training. They get an extra star for giving me hot or cold water for free with an order, not something you see often at airport restaurants any more.

This particular Sonic does have an extremely limited menu, airport prices, and that annoying thing where they shriek your first name at unacceptable-before-coffee volume when your order is ready. That said, it’s hot and does the job. Minus one star for the recent removal of toaster sandwiches from the already limited menu. You can basically have a burrito at breakfast or a burger at lunch, and that’s about it. Bring back the toaster!

Horribly limited menu. Can only order breakfast burritos now(no toaster sandwiches). No children’s selections(grilled cheese, chicken). Only basic burgers and a couple of other items. Not close to the real sonic experience.

I wanted to try Sonic’s «Cook to Order» burgers so I can compare it with In N Out and Five Guys. I tell you. it FAILED miserably. … 10 minutes after placing my order, I still have not gotten it. There were about 5 of us waiting for our order. I guess the people behind the counter finished taking all the orders of the people in line, and only after that did they start calling out the names of the people whose food was ready. Needless to say, my burger was already cold, dry and no longer fresh. My verdict? SONIC sucks.

It’s difficult for me to walk past any place that has a chili dog without stopping. And Sonic makes a pretty good one. I’m confident its no good for me. Maybe I eat them because they’re terrible for me and they’re terrible for me because I eat them? I dunno… anyway, this is my story. Note: Once you leave the terminal, you are SOL(sh_t outta luck) for food, so stop and eat at one of several choices before you proceed to the white zone.

When you have to catch an early flight out of Will Rogers, and want to grab an extra 30 mins. of sleep to avoid cooking breakfast, you have one choice — Sonic. I’ve always liked Sonic, but since I foreswore fast food I don’t eat there much anymore. But when you’re facing a 3 ½ hour flight and your stomach is complaining, well — any port in a storm. There is usually a fairly long line since it’s the only game in town but the service is pretty efficient so you get your eats in short order. A Super Breakfast Burrito is just the ticket to hold me over until Newark and is pretty tasty as well. I really appreciate that it’s here — just wish we had other choices for early flights.

Sonic — SuperSonic Cheeseburger is one of the best. Footlong with chili and cheese — Awesome. Cherry limeade is worth going off the low carb diet.

Very convenient location for outgoing flyers who need some Okie comfort fast food! Although its located at Will Rogers Airport, the same Sonic menu items and specials are available here. Service is a bit sluggish especially in the morning during the first flights. Prices are a bit more but worthwhile as Sonic is hard to come by in the east coast.
