Great store. I needed 5 different colors of paint and the gentleman working in that department was very helpful and even made some great suggestions. We like Home Depot much more then Lowes. They seem to have a much better selection on almost everything. I usually go to the self checkout so it is easy to get out and on my way fast.

Home Depot Cust Svs Follow-Up is the pits. Re: NW59th Okla City, OK. A floor lamp broke and the Associate said he would contact the mfg. When I called to follow-up, «Dusty» didn’t leave the info with the dept and Dusty works varying hours. Did he order me a replacement part? If not, I needed to send someone to the store to get a replacement lamp. But, I’m left not knowing anything. Home Depot prides themselves on Cust Svc and they are good«in store,» but beyond that they fall down badly.

Great Home Depot. Associates are ready to help and easy to find. They are courteous and helpful. Mid they can’t find something in store, they’ll order it online for you. Big new appliance selection. Awesome specialty services and friendly service desk to help with credit etc. nice selection of in season plants.

There was a throng of helpful employees who greeted me at the door, much unlike their competitor just a few miles south on the same road(which I visited only moments before this store, leaving empty handed with a still-full shopping list). Helpful and easy to navigate would describe this experience. I may have just chosen to make a switch from my normal home improvement store.

When you have a job like mine, some of your errands can be pretty random. Yesterday at around 6, I set out to make a giant Jenga game for an event coming up this weekend. This required the nice man in the lumber section to cut 62x4s into about 50 pieces, all the exact same size. He could have made me feel like the real high-maintenance broad that I am, but instead he made pleasant, funny conversation. I also may or may not have implied that I was Undercover Boss. Just kidding. They were all hard at work cleaning and prepping for a visit from a corporate big wig, so in my best Kristen Wiig’s One Upper voice, I told him, that’s me, I’m the big wig! Then over to the paint department, for another turn being ultra annoying. Ordering six different colors of paint, all in the sample sizes. Not cute, JP. Not funny or cute. These take just as long as real sizes, and I don’t think this is their intended purpose, but he didn’t make me feel bad about it. Just did as I asked while helping other people along the way. Since my order was silly and time-consuming, I was glad he took care of the real paint purchasers along the way. The gal checking us out was very nice as well. Fast and good at her job. Friendly without adding any time to your wait or the wait of those behind you. But perhaps the best part of the review has nothing to do with the place at all, but rather with the good people of OKC. I made four new friends while I was in line. Shirley and her brother, who were both painting their porches — I suggested some non-slip paint, like the DIY queen I am(not). We got to visiting and just had a great chat. Then, I met a bearded guy about my dad’s age, and we talked about architecture and paint and concerts and Jenga. I also met another lady who said she’d be on the lookout for Jenga at an upcoming event. Perhaps I’m adding and additional star here for the quality of the clientele. The whole little scene just made me really happy. It’s amazing what can happen when you put your phone away and leave yourself open and available to meeting new people.
