Recently a family member in Tulsa purchased a new house and the flour beds were in a much neglected state so we have been helping her with landscaping. After a visit to a nursery in Tulsa that was awful, we decided to check out TLC before going back to Tulsa to finish the job. What a total difference. We go there around 3:00. We had a lot of questions. Unlike the nursery in Tulsa, everyone was so courteous and helpful. The employee who helped us was Daryl. He was great. Very patient and willing to answer all questions. The guy who helped us in Tulsa acted like we should have our masters in Botany. Daryl, on the other hand took time to ask questions and offered some great advice that in the long run will save us time and money. He even recommended how we should transport the plants back to Tulsa. I have lived in OKC30 years and have never been to TLC before. We usually got our plants at Home Depot or Lowe’s. Shame on us! TLC has a huge selection of plants, pots and anything else you might need in the garden. yes, some things are priced higher than HD& L but my mom always said you get what you pay for. Paint and other household needs will come from HD but plants at our house will from now on come from TLC. So glad we finally took the time to visit this gem.

TLC is a beautiful nursery. They have tonnnnns of plant, flower, shrub, tree, rock, mulch, etc etc etc options to choose from, and if you have a black thumb(like myself), their friendly and knowledgeable staff can help you pick something you can’t kill in just a week :) We have purchased a wide variety of things from here over the years and have always been pleased with the quality of what we’ve gotten. They also have a REALLY nice website( ) with a TON of information and tips, calendar of events, etc. Great resource.

I’m a little conflicted about giving TLC4 stars or 5 stars. On the one hand, they offer an unbelievably huge selection of plants. On the other hand, they can be a bit pricey. Here’s why I went with 5 stars. As mentioned, the selection of plants is second to none.(Well…maybe Marcum’s Nursery.) And the selection isn’t just limited to flowers. In the interest of keeping this review somewhat short,(As a gardener, I get super excited about plants.) I will briefly go over some of the plants they offer. Almost all of your standard annuals… pansies, snapdragons, and marigolds, etc. Trees… lots and lots of trees… pine, birch, willows, etc. You’re starting to get the idea, right? One of my favorite things about TLC, though, is their vast selection of roses. Roses are my favorite and TLC offers 40+ varieties. I always have a hard time not buying 1 of each. They also offer perennials, bulbs, fruits and vegetables, fertilizer, and other various garden supplies. The service at TLC is top notch. Every person I have talked with has been extremely polite and if I had a question that they couldn’t answer, they would quickly find someone that could. You can’t be that customer service, in my opinion. The only real negative, and it’s not necessarily a negative, is their prices. Maybe I’m just a cheapskate, or maybe I just don’t really know how much certain plants should cost… but, it seems that some plants are just too high. As much as I love roses, I still wasn’t a fan of spending $ 25 a piece on them. However, I expect quality when I buy something from TLC, so I suppose that the price is justified. One quick note, they offer a pretty decent organic selection of seeds, fertilizers, and soils. Not as huge as I’d like, but then again… not everyone is as crazy about organics as I am. I’d just like to see less Miracle Gro and more organic alternatives.

Very good selection of plants at pretty reasonable prices. Great selection of hanging baskets! Lots of different varieties of plants – some you don’t normally see in basic nurseries. Friendly help, several offers to assist or answer questions and invited back as we left. Definitely plan on doing more shopping here!

I just recently got into plants. After going to home depot the beginning of march and finding a still very sparse selection i ran into this so cute little old lady that chatted me up on Tlc i had drove by and been curious but i always thought nurseries where for the more«experienced» planters. So i was intimidated to stop in. But she convinced me to try it. I stop by and found this garden house that seem to never end! I am pretty obsessed with«air plants» since my thumb is still pretty black-camoish. They are pretty hard to kill and usually pretty hard to find. Wondering around i found a whole little setup of them! And between a buck to a few bucks a piece!!! They have a section for any and every kind of plant you can name off. They got it! Fruit trees, cactus of all sorts, herbs(if you don’t want über so health that you have to cut them daily then don’t buy them here because my herbs from tlc just keep blooming and blooming!!!). All seasonal plants in the best health i’ve seen at any place! On the weekends this place is packed to no end! Also look on their website they have free plant type classes all the time. I just went to a cooking and beauty with herbs class that was wonderful!
