Towne Place Suites By Marriott

Let me start by saying I am not very picky, a hotel room is a hotel room. But, read on. I booked an 11 night stay, I left after 1 night. Room was spacious and modern but had a funny smell. Very small TV for an extended stay type hotel. Towels and sheets smelled like they weren’t washed well and when I got into bed I was itching and scratching, not good. Very glad I switched hotels, I went to Hyatt Place and it was nice and clean, no smells and no itching, lol.

This hotel had an even more spacious room than they one we had stayed in the previous night in Arkansas, and the décor was better and AC was more updated. The bedspread was very nice and clean and the curtains were also better than the previous night. The free breakfast provided however was sparse, and the indoor only pool was not heated, and it was very cold for the middle of the summer and unusable.

Great, clean room. Kristi, the front desk rep when we checked in, was a tremendous help in sorting out some confusion with our reservation. She was very compassionate and worked quickly to resolve the issue.

The heavier girl at the desk couldn’t be bothered with customer service. Short yes/​no answers and would cut poor Skyler off when she was talking to me, butting In at every opportunity.

After a very long drive from Memphis, this was a very refreshing surprise. My husband booked this for my son and me. We are from NC. We have a 9 hr drive ahead of us tomorrow. We were greeted by a very friendly staff, quick checkin. The room is spacious, clean and lots of TV’s, which is good since my college age son has a very different option of TV than me!
To top it off lots of restaurants within walking distance. Gonna have a couple of beers and relax.
Highly recommend this place!

One of the nicest TPS I’ve stayed at. Looks like it was recently renovated, good service at the front desk, and close to a ton of restaurants on Meridian. If you’re a Marriott rewards member, this is a good option.

Very nice hotel. Extra modern décor so don’t expect plush. We had a one bedroom suite which was nice, but the a/​c was stuck on arctic. They upgraded us to a two bedroom, which was great. Roomy and comfortable. My only quibble was the size of the bathroom area, the sink/​vanity was shoved down at the end of the hall with not enough room for two people to stand, and the door to the bathroom was right next to the sink so you couldn’t get in or out of it if there was someone at the sink. It wasn’t a big deal for this trip but the room holds six people.
Breakfast– weak continental. Waffles, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal hot and cold, toast and bagels, and few packaged muffins. Would have liked to see some donuts or Danishes.
Pool– quite small and very warm in the room, no hot tub.

Nice accommodation. Small tv maybe a 32 inch possibly a little bigger. Love the full size fridge. Only day one of 12 but breakfast was free but it was more just continental. Perhaps it changes up each day. Facility is new so everything is fresh and clean. The staff seems friendly and helpful. Looking forward to checking out the workout room.
