Zaxby’s

Came here for the first time as we don’t have this franchise in South Florida. Ordered the chicken wings with teriyaki sauce and the original plus a 5 pc. tenders. Also had a side of cheese bites. Really enjoyed all of it, the chicken tenders were very good when normally I’m not a fan of tenders and the wings were better than I thought they would be for a fast food place. I’ll be back.

Comparable to slim chicken which is closer to where I live. It’s probably a little more pricey but food is pretty good. I got chicken strips and my buddy got their wings. The only reason I gave 3 stars is that stillwater doesn’t need more chicken places. Ex: Charlie’s chicken, slim chickens, KFC, Chick-​fil-​A, and buffalo wild wings.

I’d heard such great things about Zaxby’s that I was excited to try it, but it was very «meh» to me. Not bad at all, but not great, and I’d much prefer Cane’s if I want some good chicken tenders. I also feel like their menu is laid out really weird and difficult to order what you want… I thought I was ordering a combo so named a drink, only to end up with an $ 11 total before I realized I’d ordered the wrong thing. Not sure I’ll be back because like I said, I enjoy Cane’s and even Chick-​fil-​A more, but Zaxby’s isn’t bad. Juts not my favorite.

After all the hype about Cane’s being the best chicken around and being let down, I was almost afraid to try Zaxby’s but we were right by it so we decided to stop.
The traditional wings were overcooked but they were ok. I think they would be delicious if they were cooked correctly. I think they may have been sitting there a little while so they threw them back in the fryer to get them hot. That’s what it tasted like. The chicken fingers were really good and fresh.
My favorite thing on their menu are the mushrooms. They give a generous amount, but I could easily eat a few orders by myself. The white cheddar bites are good, I’m just not a huge fan of things like that. Their fries were fresh and hot, but like most other places, once they start to cool off, they’re not as good. The cole slaw was really good but their pre-​packaged sauces are gross. all of them. I wish they would make the sauces fresh.
The managers need to be trained better. According to their website, their chicken fingers have egg and the traditional wings do not. My son is allergic to eggs, so before I brought him there, I wanted to make sure of what had eggs and what does not. I asked the manager and he kept saying nothing has eggs in it. I wanted to read the ingredients on the box to see for myself but he kept skirting around the question. I tried to explain what the website said and he just repeated himself that nothing has eggs but never would acknowledge my question of reading the ingredients. So, I will not let my son eat there. Yes, I plan on contacting the corporate office to find out.
I’ve been here twice and I will go back whenever I am kid free, which isn’t often.

For me, if you’re going to sell chicken, then the chicken needs to be able to stand on its own. The chicken at Zaxby’s was dry and without any flavor. Basically, people go there for the dipping sauces if that is the truth then you could be using a spoon or a piece of cardboard. Overall, this will be our first and last visit to Zaxby’s.

Sub Par chicken strips that are over breaded with pre packaged sauce… Don’t waste your time

My first thought was «great, another chicken place.» But after eating here I am glad OKC has another chicken option. They have good appetizers and selection of sauces for your chicken. I reAlly enjoyed my meal and will be back again soon.

Overall the chicken strips and fries were okay bordering on good. The real issue for us was how they stacked up to Canes and Slims, and the three star rating is our verdict. One big issue with the Buffalo strips was that they were lukewarm as if cold sauce was put on warm wings. It could have been a bad day and we may try again but we definitely won’t rush back.

I was very shocked when I looked on Unilocal for Zaxby’s, and the only thing here was a bad review saying KFC was far better… Well, the DEVIL IS A LIE, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM!!! I was very much pleased to find this Atlanta staple had been brought to the Midwest! EVERYTHING I’ve had has been very good, and they did not disappoint, except they could make the order of Fried Mushrooms bigger. Other than that, I was quite pleased. Cain’s could learn a thing or two from this place!!! Oh… And I’m VERY PICKY about my food! Enjoy!

I wish 0 stars were possible. Out of all of the chicken places around, this was the worst of them. Far below KFC.
Everything tastes freezer burned and the sauces are served in packages that have a 2009 date on them!
