We went there tonight and now I remember why we never eat there. The cheese isn’t melted on the pizza, it was bland and awful and service slow. Should have paid twice the price and gone to Minsky’s

The weekday lunch special(mini pizza, salad, and drink for $ 7.49) was a fair deal. My salad was delivered to my table in a couple of minutes, and my pizza was ready soon after I finished my salad. The pink stuff salad dressing was creamy, and delicious, but the salad was primarily iceberg lettuce. The pizza had a somewhat thin, somewhat doughy crust, flavorful sauce, and plenty of cheese and toppings. The service was somewhat friendly, and quick, while the dining area was clean, with oldies background music. Overall, just A-OK.

This location has gone down hill over the past few months. They are routinely understaffed which leads to really bad service. It’s too bad because this used to be one of our favorite restaurants.

I love the Pizza Shoppe’s cracker crust. Its very different from a traditional pizza crust. The crust is more like a St. Louis style pie. I normally go for lunch, and the mini pizza deal comes with a pizza, house salad, and soda. Very reasonably priced, attentive staff, and good pizza. The house dressing«pink stuff» is good too. Creamy, but with a nice bite to it.

My wife and I love this place whenever we have a pizza craving. It embodies everything I want in a pizza joint; good service, unique good pizza, and clean. I just wish they had a few arcade game or two so I can entertain the kids while they make our order.

I joined some friends after our kids soccer game. It was easy and simple plus close by. Service was ok, they take your order but your own your for refills. Sever never took the time to ask how everything was or if we needed anything after she dropped off the pizza. The place was not busy, there was only one other family so she could have not been that tied up. Pizza is just ok, but for the price I recommend other places. The bottom of the crust is crunchy but doughy on top. Toppings and cheese did not taste fresh but I guess this is the quality you get with this place.

I am a fan of NY pizzza. I live in L.A. and have found only bad pizza. While In Kansas City I was taken to Pizza Shoppe. The pizza has a cracker like crust which I found interesting. Not the best I have ever had but did not turn me off. The pie was kind of dry, but I was hungry so I ate it. Not sure if I would go back. The service was not very good.

I’m new to the area and trying out the local eats. Tonight we decided on pizza and came across Pizza Shoppe. Never again. I’m used to philadelphia style pizza which is much different and much better in my opinion. The crust here is too dry and cracker-like, and the sauce is terrible and tastes like it came from a jar. Staff was nice but the pizza isn’t for me.

I have been living in the Kansas City area for almost 10 years now, and I can’t remember a worse pizza in the area then Pizza Shoppe(aside from your token national chains… and even then, some are better). The crust is flavorless, the toppings are of little note(and little quantity, and little quality), the sauce is plain, and the most popular topping seems to be grease. The service is friendly enough, but it doesn’t make up for the mediocre pizza. This«pink stuff» they talk about… wow, not good. The name alone sounds disgusting, but a name alone will not turn me off to it. What will turn me off to it is the overbearing taste of sodium and god knows what else. Yeah, way to take the only healthy thing you have(salad) and turn it in to a death sentence. Kansas City is already lacking in truly great pizza… Pizza Shoppe doesn’t help its reputation in the slightest!

The my lady salad is really good. I enjoy it with their pink sauce. Great lunch prices, coupons on their site and in the entertainment guide. This is my wife’s favorite Pizza, she grew up on it. Very thin crust. It is good. My favorite that I loved as a kid was Godfather’s but they closed their Olathe location. I love pizza, but have to be careful, because I eat way too much of it. Slowing down with my old age.

Not overly impressed with their pizza. It does have a thin crust/cracker like, but it’s not really crispy enough for me. They do have salads, hot subs and several pasta dishes. Their meatball sub is good, saucy with big meatballs, crispy toasted bread and melted cheese, yum. Their spaghetti and meatballs is also good. It makes for a nice combo if you want some variety in your meal. We ordered a pizza and a pasta dish. We needed a quick dinner and this place is close. So it’s a decent option, but really nothing special.
