This place has really fallen off. In the past I enjoyed the pizza especially the pepperoni pie. Last time I stopped in the pizza was sub par, almost awful but even bad pizza is pizza. We had a chicken roll and a salad as well they were both good.

Went with a family group. Most had pizza and I had fra diavlo. The fra diavlo was pretty good. Lots of shell fish and calamari, though the mussels could have been fresher. The pizza was all pretty soggy. The sauce on the pizza has a lot of sugar in it, and it tasted like the crust/dough also had a fair amount of sugar in it. Some of the veg on one of the pizzas was not cooked thoroughly before it was put on the pizza. We’ll probably never go back.

Coming from Brooklyn, it’s difficult to find pizza that meets up to our standards. But Bacci is pretty good. It’s no Lenny’s on 86 Street but we have enjoyed it and order takeout from here often. My only wish is an extended app menu. It’s been ages since we’ve had a riceball special.

Whenever I visit my hometown of Old Bridge, I always try and pay this place a visit. I love their pizza! The tomato sauce they use is really delicious and their toppings(vegetables) always taste fresh. I like how the place is BYOB so you can bring your own favorites to accompany a great meal. For appetizers, I recommend the garlic knots and Caesar salad. The Caesar salad is good enough to share between 2 – 4 people(depending how hungry people are). For pizza, I usually go for the Bacci Original or the Meat Lover’s pie. The only reason I do not I’ve this place 5-stars is because I believe their pastas could be better. Out of the pasta dishes, my favorite is their penne vodka.

I would give it another shot! Flavor was there but it was a bit too soggy. My husband loves soggy pizza so it worked. The sent us the wrong order and tried to denied it but after a few calls and insisting, we got our correct order and it was very tasty. The taste is delicious so worth giving another shot.

Came here with a group of girl friends on May 9, 2015. For appetizers ordered the Trio Combo: fried calamari, fried shrimp, and mozzarella corroza. The mozzarella corroza was delicious. Made very well. Fried calamari was a little too fried. For entrée I ordered Penne Vodka. Too much sauce but very good! Also shared a small pizza pie with the ladies. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service: Gina was our waitress. Very attentive, friendly, and a overall cool chick! If ever in the area I would come back. Ohhhh and its BYOB every night!

Best pizza ever. I work in manhattan and have tried every kind of pizza. Bacci’s «Original» is amazing. Just right. Coal over of course. My kids live the chicken noodle soup. Home made. They can tell. Salads are great as well. Amazing arugula salad. Been coming here for 6 – 7 years. They also deliver. Enjoy!!!

Soggy stale pizza tonight. I’ve been nauseous ever since dinner. Quality is not there any more and service is less than average.

Went to this rest. And ordered a antipasti for two which is on the menu. Though the dish was huge the salami was of a brown color .im sure it was stale. Mention to waitress but nothing was done. Was going to this rest. Since it opened. But have not been back since that night in 2014. Place has changed hands. Maybe owner wants to get his return not serving fresh food.

What a disappointment :( We have eaten here when they first opened and it used to be amazing!!! Now just sad soggy pizza. Ordered the 4 seasons pizza. Was a soggy mess. Had to eat it with fork and knife! Not ok for a coal fired pizza place. The mushrooms were blehhh. Just sad excuse for a pizza. We also ordered a buffalo grilled shrimp pizza. First she brought iut a breaded shrimp pie and asked if we wanted it. Politely asked her to make us anothwr pie with grilled shrimp. About 5 mins pass before she brings out the corrected pie. Our thoughts were they just took off the breaded shrimp, threw on some grilled shrimp covered it all in sauce and threw it back in th oven. Well at least this one came out crispy. But sooo much buffalo sauce. Just not appetizing. We also ordered mozzarella caprese… like another Unilocaler said… sliced mozzarella instead of fresh what a rip off! Wouldnt come back here… wondering if they changed owners or what the heck happened. Too bad… used to be our rave about pizza place.

I went with friends. Everyone wanted Italian except me, BUT majority wins. It wasn’t what I expected small place kinda cozy. We ordered antipasto which I am ocd about bc no one knows how to make one in jersey… sad but true. it had potential but in my eyes and palate failed. 50 lbs of salad mix with chopped up onion, celery and other unidentifiable things topped with a mass amount of mozzarella and provolone, clumped roasted peppers a few olives a couple of slices of pepperoni and salami with artichokes and peppercini, drowned in house vingarette. Anyway friend had lobster ravioli with fra Diavlo sauce(special request) so much red pepper she couldn’t eat sauce it was making her eyes water like they dumped it in and couldn’t scoop it out? I ordered chicken sorrentino. Yeah what was I thinking. Wanted something different from the norm. It tasted wonderful a little too saucy but everything layered tasted spot on. Huge portion took rest home for another meal. Would I order it again? Possibly. don’t know if I would go back, menu is pretty standard run of the mill Italian food. So if you’re looking for something special or stand out this isn’t the place for you. Pizza looked eeww… in my opinion can’t judge a book by its cover so don’t take my word for it. I didn’t taste it but it looked like it was thrown together. I felt bad for table near us crust looked well done n bottom of pie was black. So either they have to watch how long they cook It or clean the oven better. just saying..

Terrible pizza !!! The service was friendly but to have the gall to put a slice on a plate that falls over like a wet dish rag when you pick it up is just inexcusable. I always try a slice and something else when I check out a new pizzeria and the chicken Marsala lunch special didn’t fair much better with its dry chicken and no wine broth. Thanx but no thanx.

Had a very disappointing take out dinner from here tonight. So disappointing that I felt compelled to share with others for what I spent. This is what we ordered : 1. Regular pie with fresh Mozz, sauce, basil. It was so soggy that my pizza loving kids refused to eat it. It was also cold leaving the supposed fresh Mozz to be hard. Awful! 2. Mozzarella Salad– I was expecting Fresh Mozz from the name and price, but received Thin Deli sliced(4 pieces) instead. Rip off! 3. New England Clam Chowder– what a waste of money!!! All white broth with a few carrots and maybe 1 clam diced for a Barbie Doll! Rest was white butter broth. Needless to say, for the amount of $ they charged, we will never return. They are obviously cutting corners to save money! I gave a 2 bc at least is wasn’t the worst I’ve ever had, but truly disappointing and I am not one to write reviews and complain. Give the customers good food for what you are charging and maybe they will return.

We have had pizzas from here several times. We don’t pick up from here often, not because of the food, but the cashier always short changes you and pockets the loose change. It is not really much, but I hate it when you have to ask for your money and they act as if it is really your fault they tried to shortchange you. It used to be a few cents in the beginning, and it getting close to the dollar mark now. Anyway, if you use a credit card, eat in or use exact change, continue reading. :-) The pizzas are always great and the rest of the rest of the staff is wonderful. We’ve had plain pizzas with fresh mozzarella cheese and basil on top. We also liked the buffalo chicken pizza and the Bacci special. All are recommended. The crust is also wonderful. Good luck when you go pay for it if you pick up a pizza!

Once again– found this gem through Unilocal. We ordered the mozzarella/tomato salad and that was great. It was a pretty big salad and I felt like they dressed it perfectly. We also ordered the vodka pizza and we really enjoyed the flavor. Our waitress told us it was her first day but she did a great job. The thin crust pizza was delish(Brick oven). Its BYOB even though we didn’t take advantage of it, I think that’s always a plus. Its located in a plaza along with a liquor store and some other restaurants. It was also pretty cheap. less than 20 for the salad and the small pizza and it definitely filled the 2 of us!

I live right down the street from here and have never eaten here. My friend and I were coming back from a weekend in AC and decided to go here to have dinner. I would say this is my new pizza place I will order from. We ordered(shared) the mozzarella salad and small vodka pizza. Both were absolutely delish! The mozzarella salad was huge and the vodka pizza, made in a brick oven, was really good. Price wasn’t bad either. Bill was $ 18 and change which I think is a pretty good price for the amount of food! This place is also a BYOB, but we did not take advantage of that. I will definitely either be back here again and/or order from them in the future!

I haven’t been this excited to write a 5-star review in SO long. Please pay attention. Pizzeria reviews can be really tricky, especially if you’ve come from Brooklyn to the Jersey ‘burbs. That’s not to say that Jersey pizza can’t hold its own to Brooklyn pizza — it can.(Frankly, outside of Brooklyn, Jersey is the ONLY other place you find really good authentic New York style pizza.) Unilocal should really employ a 10-point rating system just for pizzerias, because the 5-star system is far too limiting. Case in point: Di Fara Pizza in Midwood, Brooklyn: inarguably the best pizza on the planet, hands down. Once you eat Di Fara and give it 5 stars, you technically cannot give any other pizza 5 stars. But there is only one Di Fara, and it is so far out in the stratosphere in terms of its amazingness that nothing else can compare. And I say that even though Brooklyn mainstays like Grimaldi and Lucali crank out some of the greatest pizzas in the world. How in the world do you compare any Jersey pizza to these gods? Hence my dilemma today when I happened upon Bacci. I moved from Brooklyn to Middlesex Country over a year ago, and although I have enjoyed many a good slice and pie in that time, Bacci did something no other pizza place has been able to do: earn a 5-star review from me, the ultimate pizza snob. Bacci is no Di Fara, so let’s get that out of the way and avoid any confusion. Nothing is Di Fara except Di Fara. But Bacci is Jersey’s Di Fara as far as I’m concerned. And that is a BIG statement I hope I never come to regret in subsequent visits. No, not because it’s just like Di Fara — it’s not. But because it’s just so good you can’t eat enough of it. Superfresh, tasty ingredients. A fresh, thin, perfectly-cooked crust that you can only get from a coal oven. Just amazing from start to finish. I ordered the 10″ Quattro Formaggio pizzette with pepperoni and ate the whole thing. I really could not believe how good it was considering that I just stumbled upon this otherwise non-descript pizza joint. My wife had an eggplant panini, but ended up eating my pizza, so that should tell you something. We also split a Caesar salad, which was excellent — delicious homemade garlic croutons that really made it special. But if I come back(which I absolutely will) I think I’d skip the salad and just eat more pizza. I really hope these guys are making money, because my little 10″ pizzette(which is actually very big!) only cost $ 8.00 for lunch on a Tuesday!(One slice at Di Fara costs $ 5.00, and is worth every penny.) The only thing I’d do differently next time is order it well done! I like a little coal oven char on my pizza. So… fellow Unilocaler pizza snobs, please support these guys and check them out!

Brick Oven Pizza in NJ! I am sold I used to go here quite often. Today, I went here for the first time in 4 years. It was exactly as I remembered it. The pie they make is a thin crust. They top it off with fresh sauce, cheese, and basil. They use fresh ingredients and make the pies to order so the pies are always fresh. The décor is a cross between a regular pizzeria and a italian restaurant.(it is a bit nicer than your typical pizza joint) Service is nice but nothing special.

Best pizza I’ve had in NJ! Listen, folks — I’m a true pizza snob, and after living in NJ for 4 yrs, I can honestly say this is the BEST pizza I’ve had! Flavorful, authentic, fresh, brick oven pizza at its finest. Closest I’ve had to eating pizza in Europe. Some of the décor needs updating, but the quality of the pizza makes up for it. Try the Vodka, Grandma, Margherita, or Bacci Original; you won’t be disappointed!
