Our neighborhood favorite for a number of years. Their menu is varied with quite a few international recipes. Try the Thick Cut Bacon. It’s unctuous goodness! The Bar is very popular for Sports Fans. Excellent bartenders every night of the week! I’m a huge seafood lover and there are always creative options paired with pasta or salad. The salads are incredibly creative and always fresh. The BREAD! The bread is a Portuguese type brought to the table lightly toasted. Unbelievable! Another favorite is the Grilled Octopus appetizer. It arrives at the table still sizzling garlicky and tender. Tonight’s Lobster special was splendid and I just about licked the shell clean, it was that good! The Grilled Octopus appetizer was a sizzling sensation! Love the new Garlic Butter for the toasted bread!

Me and my husband enjoying coming here, the food is always excellent, they have a great menu with a variety of wonderful options. The specials are usually amazing. And I love there seafood dishes! We actually came here last night after walking out of another local bar/restaurant because of there abysmal service. Our experience here was the complete opposite!!! Wonderful and attentive wait staff! And the food… My mouth is watering just thinking about it this morning, I had one of the dinner specials and I it was one the best meals I have had out in awhile. The manager actually visited our table and asked us how we were enjoying our meal, he was very kind and even sent us a free desert! Our experience here couldn’t have been better, ended up being a great date night for me and my husband. Thank You!

Its ok, cant get why its so crowded I wasn’t super impressed, apps and main courses just ok, service was not great I’d be interested in trying again, I thought portions were small, my wife had what was called filet mignon but was just a regular sirloin, I don’t know just not great

We usually come here at lunch time and they do have great lunch specials. The chicken marsala is very good. The bartenders are very nice, and remember what your drink is, which for me is always a plus. The crowd can be hit or miss. Sometimes its like the old mans bar from the old neighborhood(haha) but other times its just average working people. First date place, no go someplace classy. Good place to hang with friends.

Their fish tacos r discusting. It’s as if they came out of a frozen box! N each piece of fish is the size of my thumb. It’s gross and I won’t eat there again!!!

We went to the Pine Tavern for our anniversary last night and were surprised they were so busy for a Tuesday night. A lot of people just came in before us but we still got seated right away. Lauren was our server and she was awesome. Our drinks, Espresso Martinis, came out right away and they are so very good! She checked in on us to make sure everything was great which it was. I was surprised at how fast the warm bread arrived as did our meals. Everything was wonderful! Lauren did a GREAT job! She even took a couple pictures for us. :)

This place is consistently great!!! Besides the food tasting great, the service and staff are always nice and attentive. They make you feel welcome. They even stayed open and waited for me last week when it was snowing and they were going to close early. This is a place that appreciates your business.

Driven past this several times and finally decided to give it a shot. Went closer to closing time on a Saturday night. Walked and was happy to see tge awards that they won over the last decade or so proudly displayed on the wall. I took a look at the menu and choose to get the squid ink pasta. When it came to the table the presentation of the plate was amazing the sauce of was really tasty the pasta itself was very light and fresh. My overall experience here was great will be back in the future to try mutiple of other dishes.

My wife and I came here for lunch one Sunday afternoon. When we pulled in at around 1:00pm there was no one in the place. The waiter brings the menu and we noticed they were dinner menus. I asked if I could see the lunch menu and he said no, that the kitchen is only set up to do dinner on Sunday’s. We were not ready for dinner yet so we opted for salads with grilled chicken. They we ok. Nothing special. The experience doesn’t make we want to run back. I couldn’t even get a turkey and Swiss? Really?

Never had a bad meal here, whether having a tavern burger and fries(one of the best burgers ever) or a skirt steak dinner with mashed sweet potatoes and sautéed spinach the pine will not disappoint — they have a big bar — and the place is always crowded, which tells u the food is good — there hostess Claudia is a wonderful person and the service is usually good– a must

my friend and I enjoyed our dinner tonight. we started off with the calamari which was very good and tasted very light. I had the skirt steak which was very tasty and tasted like it came off the grill, just the way I like it, green beans could have used some more flavor and a baked potato which you can’t really mess up. My friend also enjoyed her skirt steak, mashed potatoes and salad. dinner came with nice crusty bread too. with the tip and 2 beers total bill was $ 70 which we thought was a good deal.

This place is ridiculously great. The food is very inexpensive and you get decent size portions. The $ 5.95 menu is amazing and everything on it is delicious. I go there for lunch sometimes and usually sit at the bar. Taylor is the bartender is super awesome.

Rib Eye Steaks are fabulous as are all sides. The Blue cheese dressing is one of the best I’ve had. My girlfriend & I have been here before. It never is disappointing. Drinks are GENEROUS&NOTLITEASWELLASPRICEDFAIRLY! Service is attentive, without being overbearing. hey have booths, & will take a reservation for the booth. The only reason I give it four stars ‚& not five? No Bearnaise sauce.

This place does not look like much from the outside, but you will be happy you stopped in. I highly recommend the skirt steak. It is excellent.

Probably closer to 3 ½ stars, but I’m going to tip it up. I’ve never had a bad meal at the Pine Tavern, and I know what I’m getting if I go there: American grill food with a few upscale or continental twists. The Pine Tavern is my parents’ favorite restaurant. They and my neighbors go there so often that they are recognized by the staff when they come in. Their menu is made up of a good mix of items, some may call it mismatched but I call it eclectic. Their beer selection has a good mix of typical and micro-brews(they have Ommegang Rare Vos on tap which is a big win in my book). They also have bottled lambic which is a nice surprise. Let’s get down to the food. Pine Tavern calls itself a steakhouse and the steaks are good if not particularly impressive. It’s a solid bet that any steak will be flavorful and cooked well, add any of the various toppings to jazz things up. The toppings can be a tad on the salty side but I do love my sodium so it doesn’t really bother me. The lobster special is a big draw and doesn’t disappoint. Another solid food entry with a great value and a perfect reason to go out on a weeknight. As for appetizers, the boom boom wings are always a family favorite and the table side guac is tasty but small. If you can get over the weirdly disparate menu and the owner(who appears to be doing her best Charo impression) you’ll be in for a satisfying meal.

My wife and I went with 2 other couples. It was all of our first time at Pine Tavern. When we arrived, our table was ready. We were immediately seated. The server was very friendly and, of course, asked about drink orders. Some of us agreed to share pitchers of Sangria. The Sangria was very good. Others had beer and wine. The prices for the alcohol were excellent. I shared the monster meat sampler dish with one of the other guys. We both felt the dish was very good. We both have had better, but there was nothing really negative about the meats, just very good. The sides were ok, not the best, just ok. Others had shrimp, filet and other types of meat dishes. I asked and everyone enjoyed their meals. The price point at this restaurant is excellent. Our service was also excellent. The hostess was very friendly and checked up on us as if we were regulars. If you are in the area, I do suggest Pine Tavern.

Went here today for a family party. A couple of interesting notes about this place; –The place posts a Zagat review on its walls when you walk in with a score of 21 from 2000 or 2001. There were some other write-ups but this was the only one with a score. I really don’t care about Zagat ratings, but how is a rating from 12 years ago relevant given all the turnover restaurants tend to have? I was the best Super Smash Bros player on Nintendo 64 in 2001 but Im not sure I’d put that on my resume anymore. –We had a party of around 40 – 50 guests and the default drink was Sprite. No water, you had to ask for it. Then after you asked for it you needed to ask for a glass because you know normal people drink water from the pitcher. Anyway, if I were running a restaurant and had the choice to serve Sprite or 7Up to my patrons I’d have to roll with 7Up. Their cool spot mascot had a great Sega Genesis game back in the early 90’s, almost as good as the game Yo Noid!, an underrated gem on the original Nintendo Entertainment System that starred the Domino’s Pizza mascot. –Overly fried calamari and mozzarella sticks. Unless Im at a carnival or a place that specializes in deep fried mars bars, please refrain from having the fried bits overwhelm the flavor of the food. The thrice fried mozzarella sticks were the size of a chicken leg. This can be a positive or negative depending on how much you care about your arteries. –Different colored vodka sauces. My mom and I both ordered penne a la vodka, I ordered it with chicken and she got shrimp. Her sauce was a darker orangey tint than mine was. Im looking at two inconsistent dishes made on the same day yet this place is peddling me reviews that show how good they were from 2001? Perhaps they fired their chef in the middle of preparation or my mom got«extra special sauce.» I’m certainly not fessing up to getting that extra treat in my dish. –My brother, who would go dumpster diving for chicken parm and love it, simply thought the chicken parm was ok. Overall, the company was great, the atmosphere was on point and the food was passable. I think my fellow Unilocalers have been a little overly harsh in their ratings and this is a 3 star restaurant through and through. If this were 2001, maybe it would be a four star restaurant and I’d still be blasting Creed. Let’s be happy with the progress we made.
