It was crispy with the great burnt cheese edges that I love but way to many spices and pepper for me. I ordered the white with broccoli and had to wipe some of the spices off the top with a paper towel. The red had so much pepper I couldn’t take more than 2 bites. It’s good if you like the spices, I guess.

The original owner is back and just reopened Elio G’s! A little spicier and tastes like a different cheese mixture than the other Old Forge guys, but a great addition to the pizza capital of the world. The red pizza is amazingly delicious. The white is second only to my favorite Arcaro & Genell’s. And the sausage rolls are a must try. Order ahead.

This is now called Lou’s Pizza. same number, same address, some building that looks like a converted house. So, if any one at Unilocal is reading this, I’d like to claim first review on Lou’s. It is just take out. They were hard to find, but worth finding. my script is to call about an hour away on 84 or 80, and then get off, pick up, and carry on. They were pretty helpful with this, but right now both the town is a mess(lots of bridges out). They are on South Main street, which is not the same as main street. the main street(or south main st.?) bridge is out(sigh). «and they’re definitely here to stay!» is not true, as Elio sold out to Linda(?) and Lou(I presume). But, the pizza is pretty good, and representative of old forge style, and not too expensive, and tastes pretty good. i will definitely be back, and recommend it pretty highly. they are also pretty friendly and nice, and the locals(who like them) are nice too. so, why not a five? they don’t know where they are, and I would encourage you to see their menu before ordering: ordering one topping is the same as getting a special with 3 or 4 on it. But, later visits(I can only hope) might make this a 5, it is a very high 4 in any case.

I’m still out to lunch about this Old Forge«Best Pizza» claim. For out of towners it’s a thick crust, square pie with or without red sauce. Actually the white has some type of garlic oil sauce on it. This place was taken over by Lou’s 10 mos ago. The pies were fresh but nothing to right home about. The red even tasted like it had American cheese on it. What is up with that? TAKEOUTONLY!

The prior reviews were spot on. Had both the red and the double crust white. they were excellent. The guy making the pizza was friendly and made us feel welcome.

This is the best pizza I’ve had in Old Forge! One peek at the white pie and you know these guys are the best in town. It’s take out only with one table outside so it’s not a sit down place.

The pizza is amazing! I really like the fact that they season it well, especially the white pizza.
