My father-in-law wanted Revello’s for his birthday. I picked up a tray of red and a tray of white. I grew up in Moosic, but never had Revello’s. This was my first time in 25+ years. The red was okay, not my favorite OF style pizza. The white was pretty good. I’d say it was one of the better white pizzas I’ve had. The prices are a bit high. $ 31 for two trays of pizza. Also, the take out is in the rear of the building, which makes for an awkward walk if you go in the front door.

Ordered the white pizza for pick up and picked it up exactly 15 minutes later. It was slighlty warm, if that, there is no way they baked the pizza to order. It must have been premade and they warmed it. Not what I would expected and kind of disappointing. Also cut the white pizza with a knife that they had previously cut a red pizza with. You could see the red sauce line across the white pizza cut. Again disappointing. As far as the actual pizza it was pretty good, loved the rosemary flavor. Overall I woukd go back again, I hope i just hit them on a sunday night when they had a lazy pizza chef.

This pizza used to be fantastic, now it is sauce and American cheese on an undercooked pizza shell. They also have no set hours it seems like they just close up at night whenever they feel like it. The pizza is also way overpriced.

Revello’s is solid. I’m a huge fan of the white pizza(which is really more like a grilled cheese pie), but the regular pizza is also yummy. We don’t come to this place for the sides or the wings(Frog Pond is better for that stuff) but just for some plain old Old Forge style pizza. We’ve typically had pretty good experiences here, but the day after Christmas was totally crazy. The place was jammed and the servers said they were 2 – 3 people short, which lead to a really, really long wait, a free-for-all seating situation and disjointed service. That said, we’ll be back because I can’t live without that white pie in my life!

This seemed to be the only pizza place open on Sunday — and we couldn’t leave the world pizza Capitol without trying some so we stopped in to try it out. The white pizza was amazing!!! The other pizza just OK. Not impressed with sauce — tasted like ragu. The service was impressively awful. The waitresses sat at a both near us and we had the pleasure of listening to all their life’s details while they failed to bring us menus, while our drinks sat on the bar with the ice melting, and as our pizza got cold while we waited for the silverware they offered to being to or table. Sure it was a Sunday afternoon and sure we were the only table in the place — but it just seemed disrespectful. Two stars because the white pizza was insanely good.

The pizza taste like if they just took the sauce out of a jar… no other flavors there. We didn’t like the texture of it, not even the cheese tasted good. We also had an order of boneless chicken bites and they were awful. Not going there again. So much for them to be in «the pizza capital of the world»

A good first time«old forge» pizza experience for my kids with the pizza. I was not crazy about the pierogies or service.

Old Forge pizza stylings at its quintessence. Love it or hate it, it is unique. Biased as a local, but will always come back to one of these pizzerias when I’m back in town. Revello’s is in my top three. Just don’t expect to be wowed by anything other than the pizza.

Not impressed. Other places in Old Forge are better. Salerno’s and Arcaro & Ginelle’s are a lot better.

Was there Sat night, disappointed! Crust was very thick, cheese was tasteless and the onions and mushrooms were microscopic! Yuk!

Best pizza in all of the world! I travel a lot and have had pizza from almost 20 countries and I must say Revello’s is exceptional. Order the meatball pizza, a tray of white and drink lots of beer!!! What a night!!!

Some great pizza! A native Scrantonian must be a pizza enthusiast! Revello’s is a crowd pleaser. I brought a few trays back home with me and shared it with my office. They were in love with the cheesy square pizza that seemed so foreign in a world of national chains and jumbo slice shops. Though this isn’t my favorite pizza, it’s definitely top 5.

Be prepared for the first impression to include an odor that will remind you of your grandmother’s house. Not the good smell but the old smell but you get used to it quickly. At the same time is the impression your time machine has arrived. The furniture is 50’s genre but in good condition. Adorning the walls are old photos and some of famous people that ate here. Hillary Clinton may have been one of them but I think she grew up in Wilkes Barre or Scranton. I’m here for lunch and for most of the time the only person in here. The older woman putting tray(that’s what they call pies in this region) boxes together is super nice and helpful and takes my order. I order a couple of cuts(that’s what they call slices in this region) and a house salad with cheese. She’s very happy I’m getting the cheese on the salad as it sounds like a specialty. Fresh and crunchy salad but the special cheese is just shredded pizza cheese. I guess a regional thing is also that they use American Cheese not mozzarella like in Jersey. When I get my two cuts I can confirm that the same cheese is used all around. Slightly disappointing as my white and broccoli slice loses it better tasting mozzarella-broccoli flavor partnership. The Red cut disappoints also. The canned pizza sauce and American Cheese mixture, cut exactly in a rectangular supermarket frozen pizza shape, tastes and textures exactly like a frozen slice. I really don’t consider myself a pizza snob and I hope the entrees are better and more flavorful.

Revello’s… Good pizza, just downed 5 cuts with pepperoni and it really hit the spot. Probably should have stopped at four but when you’re craving some authentic Old Forge pizza and Revello’s is in front of you, it’s tough to stop. If this was just a pizza review I would give it 4.6122 stars. The pizza bumps this restaurant up to three stars but my past experience with some of their other food would make me give it a one star. Last time I got a pizza burger, meatball sandwich and a tray of red. I was so happy I got the pizza because the other two items were terrible. They really should take the hamburger off the menu since it’s a frozen piece of garbage that they then proceed to over cook(but how else can you cook a burger patty that just came out of a freezer?). The meatball sandwich was bland. The meatballs didn’t taste of the frozen variety, but there was nothing to the actual sandwich that made it worth eating. One bite and I realized I’d rather have the 6 or so dollars back in my pocket. I will definitely have their pizza again. It’s good, Old Forge style pizza for sure. I’m ever so reluctant to try anything else though. I may try their spaghetti or ravioli out, but I will be looking at Unilocal reviews before I do that.

I’m an area native and this is the first time I’ve ever been to Revello’s. I will not be back. It’s terribly expensive($ 20 for a tray of pizza with pepperoni and onion!), there were only 4 other tables occupied in the place and the service took forever, and the pizza was just OK. By the time the waitress finally brought our pizza it was barely warm. Not to mention she walked by my husband’s empty glass 3 times, and we finally had to flag her down to get a refill. During the 25 minutes between ordering and finally getting the pizza she never once stopped to ask if we needed anything. After all was said and done, the pizza and three beers cost us $ 32.00. We could have gone to another nearby restaurant and gotten the same thing for half that cost, and the pizza would have been hot, and the service would have been better. Don’t waste your time with this place.

Had a chance to make a trip back here yesterday, and the pizza was just as I remembered it. Now, for those who declare Old Forge pizza doesn’t compare to NY pizza, I would think it was never made to compete with it. Kinda like comparing dress shoes and nike sneaks — totally different. You really can’t beat Revello’s pizza(or any of the OF pizza joints for that matter). The only thing I didn’t like was the gnocchi as it was heavy on a spice(nutmeg, maybe?), but the meatballs were still legit.

Revello’s is an occasional stop off the turnpike on the way up to our cabin, but I’m not sure for how much longer. Our most recent visit– the first in several years– made me wonder why we go to the effort. The pizza is unique, but I still can’t say if it’s good unique or bad unique. I’m not sure I understand the mystique. I’m not sure if it’s me– that I don’t get it– or if I’m in the right, but looking at other Unilocal reviews, looks like I have plenty of company in my ‘what is this??” camp. Unique CAN be good… in some circumstances. Pizza really does taste like it has American cheese… that gummy top of the mouth, grilled cheese with pizza sauce feeling. 12 pieces of it. To their credit, interior renovations have brought the atmosphere out of the godfather era. New wall art is a touch tacky, but much improved over our last visit. Service, on a snowy Saturday in February at 2:30 with NOONE around, was spotty. I have problem trying Old Forge again for a pizza stop, but it probably won’t be Revellos.

Wow horrible … Food was far from good, literally the worst«pizza» I have ever had, there are dirty napkins from other people on the table, pizza served on a plastic tray, and the waitress forget the easiest of orders. «Red pizza» really? That is the name? No thought put into customer experience right down to the name of the dish! The décor is cheesy 80’s and it was just an all around bad experience. Do yourself a favor do not eat here. Any one of the fast food places down the street would be better… And I hate fast food! But I would make the exception over this really gross food.

Friendly service Gross pizza. Flavorless and all thick crust and way too much cheese. I ordered a cut of red and a cut of white. The white cut was just cheese, wrapped with more cheese. It wasn’t good cheese either: American cheese maybe? Both cuts were absolutely undesirable to me… I rarely leave so much food on my plate, but I just couldn’t stomach anymore of this
