While touring colleges in the east with my daughter, we stayed at the Harbor House Inn. We were about 45 miles out and having trouble with our hotel reservation so we pulled over and called the Harbor House Inn hoping for a vacancy with such short notice. The person who answered the phone(I’m sorry I forgot her name) was so kind and set us up with a great room in this nice B&B! Suggested places to eat nearby although it was getting late and we were able to grab some pizza that we enjoyed. We slept through breakfast and didn’t get much time here before resuming our travels but we had a nice, comfortable stay and would return again!

I stayed here this past weekend. The staff was nice, the room was clean and comfortable, the other guests were friendly and there were a lot of nice touches(freshly baked cookes by the door). The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because there was not a fesh hot breakfast(just continental). I am used to having a hot breakfast at B&B’s. Will definintely go back again!

Several years ago I happened upon the Harbor House Inn and have been returning at every opportunity since. Dawn and her staff(which sounds far too impersonal) are only too happy to accommodate your needs while you are a guest there. It really does feel like a home away from home. If you want flat screen TV, go stay at the Hyatt. If you are looking for a charming, cozy place where you can bike(provided for free at the Inn) to a small local restaurant for a delicious dinner and bottle of wine or a walk along the beach with a million beautiful shells, the sound of the surf and privacy, this is the place. The four poster beds are clean and comfortable and the parking is very easy and free. Mornings offer a continental breakfast. Imagine for a moment you have a favorite old aunt who lives in Old Greenwich, this would be her place.
