Owner is a great guy. Apparently he was a roadie for Paul McCartney and Wings in the 70s. Brings great character to this seaside town. It’s a slice of Liverpool at OOB.

Love this place. Anytime we are in OOB, we try to pop by. Earlier this summer they were closed and we were bummed, but this past weekend we were lucky on a last minute trip that they were open! We go to the lounge downstairs. Grab the darts and have a drink… or as many as you want. Nice staff, chill environment.

Interesting diversity in the crowd here. Locals, Brits, French Canadians, and American vacationers. Decent pint, darts, good jukebox. Proper dark and pub-like.

Great place! Went in last week the staff is friendly! Mookie, Keith and the rest of the staff are great people. Clean bar with a great selection of cold beers at reasonable prices.

Well I was in there 3 weeks ago on a Saturday night. I was there with my wife & with 2 other couples. That prices are ok «It’s OOB». The band that was singing could play pretty good but could not sing to save there lives. Then some other guy started to sing and well if we would have finished our drinks before they finished we would have left. But after we finished our drinks we did leave. My wife was drinking Jose Cuervo Gold margaritas and I saw dead bugs in the Tequila. Then I saw it in her glass. I had to point it out to the female bar tender n she didn’t seem shocked. I was drinking double Jack Daniels on the rocks and the glass had something on the inside of it. I drank the Pepsi side in a hurry and dumped it into my soda instead. Then I just wiped the glass and it came off. The place needs some TLC. It seems to be falling apart. With holes in the ceiling, carpets stained, trip on floor near stage broken, and dust everywhere. The table we were all at was sticky and the heater as well next to it. I didn’t go to the bath room there but my was not impressed on how clean it was. Guys also walking in the ladies room. I would love to see this place look better.

Good dive bar to avoid the sweaty dudes and haggard cougars that troll the beach bars. Unfortunately, the bartender with the red hat is one of the rudest bartenders I’ve ever encountered.

Cool place! Inside and out. Outside on the street there is a bar for early morning coffee, tea and espresso. If you stay at the Inn at Soho right across the street you get a free token for a small coffee too. It’s no Starbucks but it does the trick, serving organic roasts and ice coffee. As for the night crawlers the bar is down a few stairs off the main street, giving it a cave feel– totally cool! The beer selection was pretty great, I ordered up a drink I had in Ireland and it made me feel like I was right back over there. There is plenty to do other than get wasted– you can play pool, darts and football! Prices are comparable to other bars. Bathroom was a little scary, and it did get hot down there with all the people, overall it’s a fun little place to check out if you are in OOB.

This has always been my favorite pub to hit up in OOB, but since the management change this season, wow. Tons of interesting brews, a better atmosphere, and Guinness, and Cider on tap. The prices are average for the town, and they also have some great specials. If you are into sports they always have the games playing on their flat screens. There is a pool table, four dart lanes, and also a foosball table. Also my favorite place to shoot some darts. They even have a great weekly shoot out every Sunday at 5PM! This place has gone through a lot of changes for the good, but ut still feels like the same great sohos I’ve know for years.

Nice atmosphere. Not like the other tourist traps. They do have Golden Tee Live 2010 which was nice. Though their«Happy Hour» special was nothing great. You got a chip with your beer for a «free» one. Well that was cool but it cost $ 10 for a Bud Light Bottle and a PBR Draft. So there was no deal there. Business was slow during the day. Most tourists seemed content around the pier area so this was nice. I’d be interested to see what the night time crowd is like.

I’ve been visiting Soho’s twice a year now for four years, 4th of July weekend and Labor day weekend. This is my second favorite bar in the country. Vacationland, amid years of brutal economic bullwhackery, is subject to change. Bars close, condos go up, specials end. The fellas and I get a little nervous as we mosey down West Grand Ave wondering if this will be the year that Soho’s will be no more. This may sound a trifle dramatic to you cats not in the know but we’ve seen a good handful of fun spots board up and bolt over the last few seasons, Thankfully so far it looks like it just changes owner/manager every year or so, sometimes maintaining some of the same staff at the bar and door. You have to walk down into the bar, I like that. There’s a yellow line down the short set of stone steps for the tipsy. The stool at the bottom of these steps provides a great view of the ensuing comedy around closing time. During the day you get a Soho chip for every domestic beer you buy, these can be turned in later for another domestic on the house. Occasionally there is a «happy hour» where Soho bombs are two for one or something to that effect… I’m not sure what’s in these but it’s pineapple and booze. The bartenders are always cool and I actually enjoy the annual changes but I miss the dope internet juke box, the shooting game and Razor– this guy was the best, he really made you feel at home, really went out of his way to accommodate. That said I’ve yet to have a bad experience here.
