Do not go here for food, it’s completely bland and tasteless. Worse Mexican food, completely not worth it. Maybe go for drinks and service is not bad but the food is a waste of money.

Worse than ever! Only had drinks and both had no alcohol in them, just sugar juice. Absolutely disgusting. Didn’t even drink half and left. Obviously the owners don’t care at all in any way about their business. Will never go there again.

Probably the most overpriced for the quality Mexican ever. My BF got the lobster burrito and he really didn’t like it. My vegetarian chimichanga was decent because I had downed 3 strong drinks. The fried mac and cheese bites DEFINITELY had bacon in them, though they kept saying there wasn’t (I know the taste of meat). Two stars because the drinks were decent and the chef customized my burrito.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. Complete waste of time and money. They gave my father beer that was room temperate because they’re cooler was «broken». The menu was very limited. The food portion was perfect for a 5 year old. The margaritas weren’t made correctly either. After complaining only about the beer they didn’t replace it or take it off the bill… Nothing against the server she was nice but clueless. 3 people, $ 53… Don’t waste your time going here

My family and I were in the area on vacation and decided to stop for a bit to eat. From reading the menu the food sounded really good, Nope pure garbage! We ordered nachos/​w chicken, thinking that the chix would be shredded– a big NOPE, on that one! A chunk of chix, with a large piece of fat attached to it! Lobster quesada Buffalo chix wrap covered in hot sauce, I couldn’t even taste nothing else, my two teenagers order «CHICKEN TENDERS»…Mmmm was Banquet in the kitchen microwaving dinner for the restaurant guests? Who’s in the dam kitchen? We are all just shaking our heads together like you have to be kidding! This business clearly was surviving on the bar portion, cause the food sucks! Our waitress was great so I couldn’t get mad at her! Wasted 73 dollars on garage!

Stopped in for a few drinks. Happy hour sign brought us in but only Corona draft is on the happy hour drink menu great staff. Waitress did a good job of checking on us. Large variety of specialty mixed drinks with an emphasis on margaritas. Southern theme is probably the only one I’ve seen so far on old orchard beach. Very busy at night expect some longer waits on weekend just like any other establishment on the old orchard beach strip.

Well, at least we had some shelter from the bad weather at Tequila Frogs. I came in with a bachelorette party and we got quick if very confused service. They gave me a vanilla vodka and diet coke instead of rum like I had asked for and got a few of the other girl’s drinks mixed up while serving us. Additionally, TF had one of the most singularly disgusting bathrooms I have ever had the misfortune of going into. It was simply gross. The whole bathroom was unclean and had one roll of toilet paper another patron handed to me when I entered and they were leaving. The chicken nachos we ordered were great but after I came out of the restroom I didn’t want to eat them anymore. Will not ever return here again unless they significantly clean up their act.

I love this place! Great food and drinks and a fun atmosphere. We went a couple of times over Labor Day weekend. Did dinner, breakfast buffet and apps and drinks. All of the food we got was great. Servers are very friendly and prompt. Definitely going back here whenever I’m up at Old Orchard in the future.

BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY!!! I feel like I got robbed when my friends and I ordered the margaritas with the coronitas and the bill was 90 $ for 3 of those with wings, and there was 0% alcohol in them. No buzz just stomach ache. Hostess wasn’t polite or welcoming, it was just a waste of time for us.

Started off with waiting on chips and guacamole for 15 minutes and ending with a piece of GLASS in our rice and beans. The manager said «sorry» and only took that dish off the bill. Obviously poor management, service and kitchen. Health department should get in there and shut the place down.

My friend and I went to OOB/​Portland for a mini-​vacation at the end of May. The last time we were at Tequila Frogs was two years ago, and we remembered they had drink specials.
Long story short: We ended up staying there for about 4 hours and had a really great time talking to the bartenders/​waitstaff. They are hilarious. We didn’t get any food, but the margaritas are delicious! And they’re cheap. We don’t have happy hour in MA so we took full advantage. It was definitely the most fun we had while we were in OOB and we can’t wait to go back.
It was also a relief to know that we were wearing the appropriate colors. These «club color» signs were making us nervous.

Is there an option for zero stars? The worst ‘restaurant’ I’ve ever been too… rude hostesses, terrible waitress, disgusting food. Ew… I hate this place!

Worst nachos ever. Inexperienced wait staff didn’t help either. Definitely don’t be fooled by the outside atmosphere.

Well… I thought I was biased because of the time I lived in El Paso. Then I perused the other reviews. If you want Mexican food… don’t come here. I had a pathetic attempt at a burrito. The only think Mexican about this dish is the fact it has ‘burrito’ in the name.
The server was sweet and actually really beautiful, which is the only reason this is getting two stars.
The ‘moonshine’ was AWFUL. It smelled like day old sock floating in tequila.
Oh, did I mention I ate with plastic silverware and a plastic cup? Maybe it’s because it was late, but wow.
And it’s so funny to see a place not in the Midwest go ‘country’. Hahaha. :)

Really wished I would of looked at reviews before I came to eat here but I didn’t have my iphone on me at the time. I go down to Old Orchard Beach almost every Thursday during the summers to watch the fireworks and every time I go by the intersection this place has a good amount of people inside. So being down there and hungry, a few friends and I decided to try it out since I’m Hispanic and love anything Mexican.
First off looking at the menu it was a disappointed with limited Mexican foods and appetizers. So I go under the «sodas» section and I tell the waitress I want an orange soda. So I get orange juice instead and she explained they don’t have soda only orange juice which is okay but why is it under sodas? Speaking of the waitress I don’t mind eating bad food; as long as the service is great it’ll get three stars from me. we’ll this wasn’t the case. She visited us a total of 4 times. One to take our order, bring the drinks, food, and check. Never came to refill or ask how the food was. ⁰⁄₅ Service.
Food wise I got the tortilla chips with salsa which the chips appeared to be right out of a Hannaford along with the salsa. Which was suppose to be made fresh. Ordered the enchiladas for dinner which weren’t that had, salsa was mild, vegetables, and rice made for a good dish. ³⁄₅ Food
Overall I assume this place is busy because they have a big bar and TVs? Although my friend got a margarita and it tasted so bad he only had two sips. I wouldn’t recommend this place, I can say it was a waste of money unfortunately!

Came here for some snacks and margaritas before heading to a nearby bar. I tried the nachos and ate some of my friend’s quesadilla; both were just average. I feel like I could have made them better myself. We all got margaritas, but some of them were in what seemed like larger glasses. Of course mine was one of the smaller looking ones… None of us thought they were particularly strong.

Simply… Awful.
Good drinks forgive a multitude of sins. It’s sad that with 18oz of Corona margarita, I had zero buzz, and wasn’t feeling all that forgiving. The food was awful– the roasted vegetable quesadillas tasted like mushy frozen vegetables that had been put inside a flour tortilla and mashed down– gross. The fish tacos were Gordon’s fish sticks put in flour tortilla with a few cubes of tomatoes and some shredded lettuce. Even the rice and beans were gross– the beans looked like a hardened dog terd, and the rice was dry and tasted like it came out of a box.
The service was okay, and the lobster quesadilla was edible, but that’s not enough to make me ever want to go back. Quite frankly, the worst Mexican food ever. Just don’t do it.

Over salted margaritas. Nice waitress but extremely slow service and the place was empty.

Actually, the service wasn’t too bad. But food was terrible, tacos seemed to be from last saison. Don’t go there unless you just want to have some beers.

Currently sitting at this restaurant watching our server text, waiting over 15 min for an appetizer, and drinking a coronarita that consists of 90% sour mix. Very disappointed. No drink menu?
