I’ve always enjoyed Hungry Howie’s pizza, but picking up a pizza made me rethink my choice of where to go. Often there are questionable people hanging out around the building. Also, walking into the small restaurant you will see the hairy sweaty people making your pizza. I work in a restaurant and I know how hot it gets, but these large men with beards and gauges in their ears don’t make my food very appetizing. at least wear a hairnet or something. I’m sure if you’re ordering a pizza you’re not worried about grease but I though it was worth mentioning that this pizza is super messy and greasy compared to other pizzas

I really like Hungry Howies(the company’s) food. I live very close to this location and every time I order, they always get it wrong so I would triple check to make sure they understand what you want and check your food before you leave to make sure that it is correct. Honestly, I try to make my orders as simple as possible now.

Hungry Howie’s pizza is not great, horrible, good or bad. It simply is. This location continues the legacy Located in a dumpy strip mall Two guys were arguing out in front of the store Salad dressing comes in room temperature packets

It’s relatively inexpensive and a step above Little Caesar’s hot-n-ready but not someplace I will not order from again. Antipasto salad was good — fresh veg, ham, pepperoni slices, cheese, black olives — but I’m not a fan of the packet salad dressings. Pizza was hot but nothing amazing. Sketchy folks arguing out front when I picked up — not employees of Hungry Howie’s and the employees probably didn’t want to ask them to move along and possibly get knifed, but it was not a good ‘welcome’ to the store.

Growing up, my parents only got Hungry Howie’s for us once up in Spring Hill. I remember it vividly because of how livid they became after our one and only delivery experience. So what happened, you ask? Well, they sent a geriatric delivery driver to our house that ended up dropping our pizza to the ground with a heartbreaking splat, right on our doorstep. Ever since then my mom and dad have gone with the pricier competition(don’t ask me why). Fast forward to about a year and a half ago. I moved to Oldsmar and felt like a world of opportunity(and/or convenience) opened up, including having a Hungry Howie’s within walking distance of where we live. My hubby is a big fan of their pies, so on pizza nights they’re almost always our go-to. You can’t beat the prices, and their pizzas are great for what you pay. My favorite is the Howie Maui(ham & pineapple), but throughout my time here in Oldsmar I intend to try them all.

I’m not usually one to eat chain-grade pizza, but when I do, it’s Hungry Howies. Specifically, this Hungry Howies. IMHO, they have the best fast food pizza around. For one, their cheese actually tastes like cheese, as opposed to that white bubble gum immitation cheese that Pizza Hut uses which doesn’t even melt. Second, they offer free flavored crusts. I prefer the garlic butter crust, and La Chica like the sesame seed crust. Order these two together and that’s when the magic happens. If you haven’t tried this, please do so. I’ve been grabbing pizzas to go from this particular location for about 7 years now because it’s about a mile from my job; very convenient. Of all the times I’ve ordered, I’ve never experienced a problem with my order or service. In fact, I dropped in today to see if they could make a heart-shaped cheese pie with sesame seeds crust for La Chica’s b-day, since it’s her fave. And you can see by the pic I’ve uploaded, the request was easily accommodated. No hassle. I love these guys.
