I came in for some fro yo and(despite the name) they have that in a few flavors with very limited toppings(strawberry and blueberries but they were out of blueberries) but are actually more of a wrap, salad, bowl Ciccio Cali \ Fresh type of place. You get a free small fro yo with a meal(medium for an extra 30 cents so big up yoself). This seems to be the big draw. :) So I got a almond chicken and gorgonzola salad. I know it’s nitpicky bit in the pic the free froyo comes with berries but they charge extra for that. :(Otherwise I liked the place. Service was friendly and fast. Look up high for the fro yo flavors. Dairy free choco fudge, cake batter and coconilla when I was here. Taro is also sometimes offered according to legend. Combining flavors see to be the way to go.

I like their yogurt, especially the taro yogurt which is hard to find. It’s not self serve but they have plenty of different flavors. They also have seasonal flavors that changes. I haven’t been here in awhile because I live on the other side but it’s a place that is easily visited when going to the Theaters.

I used to have to go to LA or NYC to get good frozen yogurt until Kiwi opened. Hands down, Kiwi is my all-time favorite froyo spot in the Tampa area. I love the taro yogurt(however, I think it’s an acquired taste). All their yogurts have that tart bite to it – just the way I like it. I’m not a fan of those soft-serve ice cream places that call their stuff frozen yogurt! Kiwi always fresh toppings like fruit and mochi(it’s a chewy topping made from rice flour – ask for a sample). They’re open fairly late, is always clean and has a healthy food selection in addition to frozen yogurt(Green Market Café). My frequent buyer card is almost full… I’m almost due for my free froyo!

My friend is absolutely obsessed wtih this place. I went with her after our traditional sushi night at Kaiko during a recent visit home. I think is a good froyo option for the area. However, currently living in Boston, I have definitely had better. The taro flavor isn’t something they offer up here, so I went with that topped with mochi. I’d say it was satisfying enough, but nothing to write home about.

1st, if you like a good taro yogurt and you think you’ve tasted them all, i highly suggest you give kiwi’s version a try; it’s simply amazing… tangy tart and buttery sweet. even my very picky the-only-flavor-i-ever-want-is-taro yogurt buddy has given it her seal of approval. 2nd, if you’re not a taro fan, the strawberry-mango combo certainly doesn’t disappoint: not too sweet, not too sour. 3rd, i like that it’s in a huge plaza with lots of restaurants and an awesome amc theater. and on weekends, it closes late. thus, kiwi = sweet end note to a perfect a date.
