Good food, good service, good family atmosphere. My only reason for dropping a start is that it seems like the menu is always changing and they are always removing the items that I like! Might be a corporate thing, but still disappointing considering I’m already a picky eater.

I’m surprised that this place hasn’t gone out of business yet based on the sea of one star reviews. We came in to get a couple of drinks the other day. Our bartender«Chaz» introduced himself to me and completely ignored my boyfriend which I thought was strange… then he proceeded to make obnoxiously loud and disrespectful comments that made us feel uncomfortable, even mocking my boyfriend for his drink choice. At one point he was yelling awkward things at me from across the bar and making comments to the other customers about me. I was so embarrassed. We assumed he was drunk, I mean who could really blame him? What else was he going to do with an almost completely empty bar and restaurant on a Sunday evening? His unprofessional attitude really ruined my evening. He assumed that I, in his words«sucked down» the drink he made me quickly because it tasted good but really I just wanted to get out of there to avoid further humiliation by him.

Went for their well advertised 29 cent wing night to celebrate leap year. We made a reservation only to be told they didn’t have it. Even the on duty manager was called and we were simply told«we don’t have it». Thankfully we had proof on our phone and all we were told was that«we’d be seated next». So, we get the absolute worse table in the house, if you’ve been there… you know– it’s at the bottom of the stairs in the middle of everyone coming in/leaving the dining room. Our food was actually placed on someone else’s table then picked up and put on ours. Any server/runner knows that once it touches the table, it doesn’t leave. We had to ask three times to get the ranch dressing we requested at order time, and finally got one cup for 12 wings… how generous! Clearly the wait staff was overwhelmed with the volume. Next time you want to advertise a crowd pleasing deal… please make sure you’re adequately staffed. It seems to be a disappointment every time I go… not sure if I will go back.

This is a sports bar, and they have a tremendous amount of TVs with sports coverage. I enjoyed sitting in a booth with a personal TV where one can make their own viewing selection. The food is good, but that’s an afterthought. The beer is cold, the appetizers are tasty, and the TV screens are everywhere. Best sports bar in Olney.

Not terrible, but not great either. My son likes it, mainly because they have TVs at each booth and he can watch Sponge Bob during dinner(or at least, he has the two times we went). The good: The staff, on both visits, have been very friendly and helpful. The appetizers are good, and since we came during Happy Hour both times, they were approx. half the price they normally would be. Good stuff, especially the chicken quesadilla. The bad: First visit, I got a burger, thinking it was going to be a thick, juicy thing(like the picture in the menu led me to believe). I should’ve known something was up when the waiter didn’t ask me how I wanted my burger cooked. That’s usually a tip-off that, yeah, you guessed it: pressed patty. Really, guys? A patty? Anyway… Second visit was slightly better. I knew to stay away from the burgers. But again, the appetizers were the best part of the meal. On both visits, the mixed drinks were overpriced and watered down. My advice? Come here during Happy Hour, get a couple of appetizers, and skip the entrees. Also, I’d stick to beer. Cheaper, and it won’t be ninety percent juice or soda.

This restaurant has a welcoming exterior as well as interior. They have a separate section for the bar area as well as tables and booths for those eating dinner. But honestly coming here for food is a waste of money. I have tried numerous things here, nachos, wings, salads, wraps, steak, chicken tenders, etc. I have not found one thing on the menu that I would want to eat again. Clearly, I have a problem for coming back so much, but I wanted to give them a chance and try some more things from their menu. Plus its such a convenient spot. Although, I will have to complain about the pricing. For such high dollar meals they should be treated like they actually are high dollar. Maybe step out of the box and get a better chef… or fresher ingredients? Now for the bar atmosphere. It is a bit cramped. The dance floor is crammed into the corner surrounded by tables.(Just a recommendation, Friday and Saturday nights it might be a good idea to move the tables out of the bar area.) Most Greene Turtles I have gone to usually move the tables to have more room. Everyones different I guess. The drinks, are okay. A bit watered down in my opinion, but it also depends on your bartender. There are two fantastic bartenders here, if only I could remember there names, I will not go to anyone else. The DJ’s are usually horrible. They play the same music ever weekend, and its never good. I give them 1 star mainly for the staff. I never have had a problem with any of the waitresses or waiters. Always friendly and welcoming.

Great atmosphere but terrible food. Why don’t the buy higher quality food and get a decent cook? A good sports bar doesn’t have to have bad food… but this one does.

This place is a dump.(And it smells like one too). Please do your self a favor and go somewhere else. Its unfortunate that there is no where else close to the Olney shopping center. The«bar manager» acts like he is a bouncer, we felt like we were back in high-school at the club.

Ugh, the experience here was pretty weak and what especially makes me mad is that the food was so good but the service was AWFUL! My friends and I came on a Thursday night and it was hopping, lots of football and hockey on and the place was full of people but not completely packed. Our server was Samuel and he sucked. My friends have a toddler and it was past his dinner time so they ordered quesadillas for him the moment we sat in hopes that it would come out first. Samuel completely ignored the request and after we received our crap dip appetizer(out of this world, order this if you chance it and come here!) told us that he put in everything together so the kids quesadilla wouldn’t come out first. Hmmmm, ok. So we got our food and it was a hot mess. The kids quesadillas never showed, instead he got a pizza. My friend ordered a salad with her tacos and got fries instead. Samuel showed up, we let him know, then he disappeared. Then he came over and told us 90 more seconds, 60 more seconds, etc. which was just odd. We finally got everything right then after that he kept checking up on us every two to three minutes and told us that since it was slowing down we were allowed to sit there and chill. WTH? I hate that I loved my Black and Blue Shrimp salad so much because it was such a crappy experience from a service standpoint. On the positive side they have a huge menu full of bar food plus healthy options which is awesome so I’m not sure if the service is usually great or if we got a less than stellar server. Dine at your own risk…

I’ve seen some shit holes in my time but this one takes the cake. Terrible service, terrible atmosphere, terrible management and quite honestly it’s nothing short of a miracle this place even turns a profit. The Dj’s play lame music, they have everyone cram into this tiny area they pass off as a dance floor. The food is shit and the drinks are practically watered down soda/juice. If your goal is to throw your hard earned money away then this is the place for you. Or you could just light it on fire. Honestly there wouldn’t be much of a difference. I think the only reason this place stays in business is the snobby, pretentious off spring of the so called parents that reside in this town. God help anyone who thinks going here on a Friday/Saturday night is a good way to spend your weekend.

Nice place, good bar food. The only problem is they let people smoke right outside the patio. Cigarettes aren’t unbearable, but today there was a cigar smoker. Ruined our meal. Update 11÷25−− We just sat down outside. Overcome with cigar smoke. Probably our last visit unless the situation changes dramatically.

Would not serve me a beer because there was a «chip in my ID» claiming some«law» about dinged IDs. I’m 26. In 5 years of being of age it’s never been a problem. I will never visit this establishment again.

Green Turtle does a great job on their menu. Unfortunately when you ask if their burgers are fresh, they’re probably not. Service is sub par considering their brand image. Most interactions ate started by you finding your waiter.

Let’s face the facts, this isn’t s place you should come to eat steak or a meal you that you want to taste great. The food is subpar. The atmosphere is great and the bar area is very open. The waitresses always make sure you’re taken care of and ask if you need anything as they come by. The bar itself is very big with TV’s every few feet so you can watch many different things. Coming here for a football game has always been fun. They also have specials and the Happy Hour is great as well.

We were very unimpressed. Service ok with one giant flaw: Waitress was friendly but right after she told me that kids meals include drinks I ordered my kids 4 root beers. clearly for the kids with 4 kids meals. $ 3 a piece not.included. had to wait an extra 30 minutes to see the manager because they were so busy. I offered to pay for a2 anyway. they did. comp 3 of 4 but my time was gone. I had a crab dip sandwich wife. had pizza margherita. Those. dishes sucked. kids mini cheeseburgers great. corn dogs par. I vote nay.

Green Turtle is a Chuck E Cheese disguised as a sports bar. At least at Chuck E Cheese you know what you’re getting… My wife and I had a really terrible experience here on a Sunday night. One of the worst in the many adult years I’ve been eating at restaurants. The place was only about half full, but they were completely understaffed and overwhelmed. Most of those customers were poorly-behaved pre-teens and their parents who apparently hated life and made zero attempt to try to control their kids. They probably figured that any childless couple dumb enough to eat at the Green Turtle deserved what they got. I think this is the first time in my life I actually walked out of a restaurant after ordering but before receiving my food. But there comes a point when you’ve been sitting there for an eternity with your food nowhere in sight and your server nowhere to be found, that you realize the terrible choice that you’ve made and you just want to cut your losses and GTFO. So I can’t comment on the quality of the food because it never showed up. But I can comment on the atmosphere and the quality of the service, and both were as bad as it gets. We wound up going to the Harris Teeter at the other end of the strip mall, buying some sushi and scarfing it down in the car. As sad as that sounds, the dining experience was vastly superior to what we got at the Green Turtle.

So I really only come here to drink… but this time is one of the rare times I also ordered food. Went with the buffalo chicken sandwich, added bacon and spicy ranch. Was a pretty decent meal. Wish they would make the buffalo chicken saucier. Waitress was nice and the service was good as usual. Outdoor seating is also always a plus for nice days out.
