The food is great, but the woman working behind the counter has awful customer service, hands down the worst customer service that I’ve ever experienced.

My husband and I just decided to try this spot on a whim and I’m so glad we did! Delicious jerk chicken and beef patties. Customer service seems like it has improved. I called my order in and it was ready in 15 min., as promised! Thank you Jerk n’ Go!

First time coming in customer service was horrible the girl didn’t greet me and she was rude. The other lady is nice but the young girl with the braids needs to be fired. Food is good

Horrible! I was originally referred by a friend to come here. I must say I am disappointed! I gave this place two chances the first time I almost waited an hour for my food. This time I asked how long will it be the cashier told me he couldn’t tell me. He didn’t know then the computer froze and he asked if I could come back. I know things happen… But no plan b? This place needs better customer service.

Terrible Customer service over the phone, which totally turned me off to the establishment. The food was good so hopefully my return trip will be better.

I’m back here again. This is my second trip to Jerk to go. I was impressed the first time. I tried the jerk wrap, jerk tacos, tilapia and jerk wings. The food was juicy and fresh. The sides I tried were sweet potatoes, cabbage, rice and peas. All the sides were good too. This is the reason we gave it a second try. I hope it will be as good or better.

Good authentic Jerk Chicken served with a spicy sauce on the side. Good sides, cabbage, beans and rice, etc. Mac and cheese was ok but could have been better, otherwise I’d give it 4 stars. Food was ready within 15 minutes. Expect to spend around $ 10 per meal and don’t forget your Ting!

Decided to visit Jerk-n-Go b/c it was new in the neighborhood & I was starving! A relative of mine told me their Jerk Salad was delicious therefore, I decided to try an item off the lunch special: Jerk Chicken White — $ 8.00 W/a side choice of Mac & Cheese & a Beef Patty! Jerk Chicken– very moist and juicy with/the skin falling off! It was soooo good! I wish there was a bigger portion! I didn’t need to sauce because the meat was very well seasoned! The sauce is spicy but it was good to test taste. I’m not a spicy eater so that small container of sauce was more than enough for me. If you crave spicy, then you may need more than one sauce lol. Mac & Cheese– it was good. I wouldn’t order the item again for a side; I’ll probably try the candied yams! I was debating in my head between the two but I should have selected the yams. Rice & Beans– all I can say is, it was delicious! Once again, I wish the portion was bigger but that may be b/c of it being a Lunch special as oppose to a dinner special. But, I usually go to Ya Mon in Country Club Hills and there rice isn’t moist like Jerk-N-Go! You’ll love the rice! Beef Patty– OMGGGGGGG!!! This is a must try! I should have ordered another one! This is good for someone that is curious about trying this restaurant but do not really want to order a lot; try this! And get two! Because the the first one, will melt & disappear in your mouth like a Krispy Kreme Doughnut lol! Customer Service– The chef was very friendly and welcoming! Atmosphere: very clean and semi– spacious with a large flat screen television mounted high on the wall as you can see in the photos! I noticed they are expanding to the Citgo Gas Station on Lincoln Highway! That’s great news to here! Hopefully there will be some beef patties! Next time, I plan to try the Dinner Special and I’ll update my review!

Ran into this place coming from my doctors office and decided to give it a try. I must say the food was very good! I had the curry chicken dinner with cabbage and rice and peas and got my husband the jerk wing dinner with string beans and rice and peas. My husband did not care for the sides but thought the jerk chicken was great. I loved everything!

For those that did not know… these are the chefs that used to cook at Maxine’s(Chicago, Il) when it closed. Same sauce, same food and the same love put into it all. It’s a goldmine guys, please show you patronage. The Oxtails are off the chain!!!

Nice new location. Authentic Jamaican cuisine. Always a wait even if you call in your order. I order the Jerk chicken salad… it’s the best in town. I have also had the jerk chicken pieces… GOOD! The sauce is HOT! I don’t care of the side items other than the cabbage and the vegetable patty.

I noticed this place while driving and decided to try it out as they seem new to the area. Very nice open feel inside. I got the 6 jerk wing dinner. I wanted Mac n cheese and sweet potatoes as my 2 sides, but they didn’t have sweet potatoes so I got green beans instead. and a Carrot cake slice for dessert. Wings: the chicken seasoning is pretty much what you’d expect on jerk chicken. I then added the sauce which was slightly better than other places I’ve tried – so I liked it. Green Beans: a slightly spicy canned green bean – so just ok. I didn’t finish it all. Mac n Cheese: I wanted to love it but there just was not enough cheese. It was mostly Macaroni with nothing in it – so disappointing. Carrot Cake: Was denser than your typical carrot cake. had no nuts or carrot shredding in it. however it was delicious. It look minimal but don’t let that fool you – loved it. Will give this place another try once more but next time I’ll try something different. except for the carrot cake. definitely getting another one of those.

The jerk chicken was very good, as well as the candied yams and rice/beans. Although I was a bit disappointed in the size of the cut up chicken pieces, it must have been a small bird. Nevertheless, the flavor was really good with the perfect amount of heat. I will be back. The macaroni and cheese needs more cheese and seasoning. The cabbage could also use more seasoning, as well. Perhaps this is more authentic, but I’m not referring to salt. Add some other ingredients to enhance the flavor. I wanted plantains, but the cashier graciously let me know that the day’s batch was not ripe. I could order them, but don’t expect the best. I appreciated her candid feedback.

I have been to a lot of Jerk places. But most don’t do authentic jerk. Both of the cooks here are straight from Jamaica. Only old school cooking here. No microwaves or deep fryers. They know how to cook an excellent jerk with good quality products.
