If you value your pet, avoid this place!
We’ve been getting our toy poodle groomed here for two years since she was a pup. She always looked beautiful. On October 5, 2015, we picked her up and found she was squinting her right eye and the hair above the eye was gouged. We took her to the veterinarian who discovered her right cornea was severely scratched.
Also, we soon found that she had a great deal of pain in her neck. X-​rays revealed that a disc in her neck was ruptured also. When my wife called the groomer, she denied having any knowledge of our baby being injured. If you know anything about toy poodles, you know you can not cause them grievous injury without them letting you know they are hurt.
Injuring our beloved dog is one thing but, denying it is quite another. We’ll never return to this place. Our dog’s health is just too important.

Ran in to have my two of my dogs nails clipped, I was helped right away. The price was great and it feel way better giving a local business my money !! We will be regularly using them for our grooming needs.

My dog Levi and I both really like this place. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The space is open and clean. When I picked up Levi today, I thought his cut was the right shape but a little too long. They were very cheerful about cutting it a bit further. What particularly pleased me is that Levi didn’t mind going back in. That says a lot about their kind treatment of the animals when their people aren’t there. My only negative is that it’s a bit pricey — I’d bring him in more often if it were a little cheaper.

Baroo is almost within walking distance of my home. The shop is located back among some industrial buildings, but is large, clean, and has a selection of fancy collars, harnesses and leashes.
I routinely take my two dachshunds in for nail trims. I appreciate the fact that I don’t have to have an appointment and they are ½ the price of taking them to my Vet.
Have only used their grooming service once… for my wirehaired dachshund. I don’t believe their groomer had experience with wiry coats or stripping, although she said she did. He had gotten rather long, but because we didn’t have a show coming up, I knew he didn’t need to be perfect.
I strongly suspect, she used clippers or scissors on his coat rather than stripping. This is a no-​no with this type of coat… unless your dog is a pet and not being shown.
Nice folks though, and as others have mentioned, ample parking, quick turn around time, etc.

Gone here a couple of times and took one of our dogs in and she came home with fleas. Of course she is allergic so now she is chewing her skin red. Poor thing.
We tried to get our doggie in earlier this month and they could not fit her in. Said they would call and they didn’t so between fleas and the lack of extra service — not sure what we are paying extra for. This place is not worth the price and not flexible. We will not be back.

I took in my 20lb beagle mix to get groomed. This included a bath, haircut, ear cleaning, nail grinding, anal gland, and teeth cleaned.

Hard to find. Its off the rd and there is no sign on the street.

They forgot to clip my dogs tail hair but had already brought her out to me so I didn’t want to upset my dog by sending her back in.
I was overall underwhelmed with this place. The service was fine but for what I paid I don’t feel I got my moneys worth. And not doing my animals tail or asking me about it when they called me to pick her up seems silly. So while I felt the services were adequate I prob won’t be back.

All I have to say is, if you are taking your pet somewhere else, STOP and switch to Baroo.

I want to start off by saying that the staff is extremely friendly, courteous, and professional. Very clean space and you can see your pup getting groomed. I was skeptical about this place because of the lack of reviews and the one bad one. I decided to go ahead and try it anyway because we currently take our pup all the way to downtown Olympia and this place is right down the street. I sent my husband with specific instructions and pictures to give the groomer an idea of what I like. I got a call a couple of hours later from the groomer confirming everything that my husband had said and I am so glad she called because she was about to hack our pup because my husband had said we wanted her hair 1 inch long. She got home and I was disappointed with her cut because it was too long after I specifically told the groomer that I wanted her hair very tight and trimmed. I sent her back after calling and they were very accommodating and nice about the fact that I wanted something a little more trimmed. She came back exactly how I wanted and we will definitely be taking her back again!

After a search for a groomer that took us to many different facilities we have found a place in Baroo Pet Spa. They did a wonderful job grooming my shih-​tzu and Maltese. They gave them a cut exaclty the way we wanted it. The people at Baroo where very nice not only to us but our dogs too. We will definitely be back.

What an awesome place! It’s clean, it smells clean, awesome staff, and I think it’s a family owned business. I have a 25lb. Lhasa Apso/​Shiatsu mix and he is spoiled! He hates water & grooming services; although he’s groomed a least once every month and has been his entire life (9 year old). He looked picture perfect when I picked him up! I had no complaints! and they had no complaint regarding his bad behavior. They said he was a perfect gentleman. I love this place!!!

This «spa» is TERRIBLE! They cannot groom dogs! Eyelashes cut nearly to eyelid on one eye, while the other eyelashes are «normal». Fur on front paws are are floppy while the hind paws are shorter to the paw. LOTS of clumps of fur left untrimmed. Ears are infected now due to unclean tools. Now I’ll have to pay for a vet. bill to get meds. I will NEVER take my pet back to this place!!!

These are the hardest working young ladies in Lacey! They have been taking care of our Shih Tzus Jack and Gracie since they opened and we can’t say enough great things about them. The salon is huge and clean ALL the time, very welcoming, and you can’t beat the service and prices. HIGHLY recommend them for all things doggie!

My puppy is a coton de tulear, toy poodle mix. A 5lb cutie that went in to the vet to get fixed and came out with a chicken leg. They sheared off the hair on his front left leg. It was so hilarious but needed to be fixed.
So, we took our puppy to Baroo. I asked for a ear cleaning and butt squeeze as I put it. I had no idea how to fix the leg and the lady gave me different options. She also said that the leg was sheared by surgical shears so she couldn’t get the other leg that short. I told her that my husband doesn’t want a poodle and I wanted a puff ball look.
Two hours later he was all done and adorable. She sheared the front legs to match the length and then sheared the back a little so he didn’t look lopsided. He came out looking like a puff ball and my husband was happy that he didn’t get a poodle. I can’t tell that one leg is shaved shorter than the other either.
They do excellent work!
