My husband and I started seeing Dr. Lasley about a year ago. Since then we have had multiple cleanings and my husband has started Invisalign. We love the office staff and hygienists! Dr. Lasley is always friendly and makes you feel super comfortable. We would highly recommend using this amazingly beautiful facility.

I started at Dr Lasley’s practice back when he was at a smaller location in West Olympia before moving down to West Bay Drive. At that point I was relatively new to Olympia and had asked around for good dentists and ended up with Lasley. I couldn’t have been happier. Great attention and care and the hygienists were top notch. Over time things changed. There seemed to be a real shift in attitude, culture, care, and the overall feel of the practice. It’s nothing that you could clearly articulate, but being in the building felt like there were some sort of internal politics that were keeping everyone on edge. It didn’t feel like the hygienists even wanted to be there. I chalked it up to maybe a weird day and brushed it off. Then the next apt I made, there was 100% turn over in staff — except Lasley and the lead office person. 100% turn over. Came to find out that one way or another, and I’m sure I’ll be «corrected» when Lasley sees this review and chimes in, the hygienists had enough of the practice(unfair treatment) and got much better offers around town. Things happen, right? I stuck around rather than put the effort in to find a different dentist. But I found that it was still worse. Dr Lasley’s «better than you» attitude was just too much to handle. When you go to a dentist, no matter the dentist, there is one universal standard: It’s not the dentist that you are spending your time with — it’s the assistants. So, when the attitude of the guy you spend the least amount of time with drives you to a different practice(along with the staff the kept you there to begin with) its saying something. Lasley had this way of humblebragging everything. If you made the mistake of scheduling an appointment on a Monday morning, you got to hear about how much money he had, how he spent it, what he did, how he was better… the list goes on. You literally watched the hygienists roll their eyes with a tone of «just let him get it out of his system so he’ll shut up by lunch.» When I eventually left and found a new dentist, I kept my mouth shut about where I had previous care. I wanted to see if any problems were organically discovered. The new dentist commented about 3 fillings that were falling out. All done by Lasley in the last 18 months. Everything else from my previous life was still spot on. Now… this is one person’s account. But it’s hopefully enough for people to read(that also means you, Carey) and consider. I hope you all have a wonderful day.
