This place is one of the best treasures in Olympia. It’s in a great location sharing walls with other amazing boutiques with fun and different personalities. It’s definitely a place to go if you are downtown weekend shopping with some of your favorite coffee. It has a good amount of eclectic goods that are good for gifting or those special cool things in your home. From table to farming books, Le creuset Dutch ovens, cute simple raw jewelry, Pendleton shirts and coffee scrubs and artisan soaps; this place is really well done and affordable. The staff there is really nice and always excited to say hello; Emily was especially nice with helping complete a perfect gift for my mom.

Amazing little shop with tons of awesome gifts and items for the home. I did a ton of Christmas shopping here. Prices are a bit high, but you’re paying for the location and quality of goods.

Oh you know, just the best gift store in the UNIVERSE. What’s not to like about this place? I’ll tell you what: nothing. –Friendly and helpful staff that know the inventory and are highly personable? CHECK. –An amazing selection of home décor, purses/wallets, accessories, GORGEOUS jewelry(that won’t break the bank), candles, kitchen supplies, men’s grooming supplies, paper goods, etc? CHECK. –A range of products that are both high end keepsakes and affordable knick knacks? CHECK. –Will you find a something for the hard-to-buy-for person? YES. –Will you find an amazing hostess gift that trumps the usual bottle of wine? HECKYES. –Will you possibly go broke after you discover this place? More than likely(but then again, who REALLY needs to pay rent?) PLUS, they just remodeled. It was lovely before, it’s AMAZING now. I can’t praise this place enough. I’m asking for a gift card there for Christmas this year because I can’t go in there without wanting ALLTHETHINGS. Thankfully, I don’t live in Olympia, so I can keep my budget in check. Well done people of Compass Rose… if you started a cult, I would join.

A little pricey, but totally worth it if you’re looking to buy a gift, this is the place you need to be. The kitchen appliance section is also the best!!!

I am happy to not live in Olympia. If I did, I would be in the poor house. The customer service is stellar and Alana the manager seems to know what you need even before you do. I cannot say enough about the staff. They are so kind and know their designers and stock very well. I had the most enjoyable shopping experience yesterday and will make the 90 minute trek gladly now. This store is just what the doctor ordered for little knick knacks and a large array of various items for the kitchen, for the home, for the kids, and maybe even a hobby you may have. I recently started a hobby of collecting and sending postcards and one would think that postcards would be easy to find. Most of my friends suggested I check Archibald Sisters just two or three doors down. After the rather small selection of cards at Archibald Sisters, I went to the second place my friends mentioned, Compass Rose. There are just so many cute things in here. French presses for coffee, lots of cool stationary & cards, kitchen supplies, baby clothes and toys, random novelties and Olympia merchandise, and of course a huge selection of postcards. There were at least 3 – 4 racks of postcards. They were $ 1 each which wasn’t too bad for the quality of cards. I’ve scene postcards for cheaper but not the same quality. I’ll definitely be back to get more to continue my hobby. Oh and it’s well lit and the gals that work there are really nice.

Another Olympia stop for my wife’s birthday. Really neat store with lots of cool, kitchy stuff. Very interesting and a lot of stuff that my wife liked. She was able to pick up some cool things. More than just stationary and cards… had everything from cooking gear, to jewelry, to music. Neat place to check out and the folks that work in there are super friendly and helpful.

This is my goto place to find gifts for hard to shop for people. Very good staff, they will greet you and help you. There is a big selection of specialty kitchen gear, day of the dead art, and high end novelties. This is a good sister shop to Archibald Sisters, Super Silver and Popinjay.

This is one of the best stores in town. Fun, funky, with an amazing selection of items, for all budgets. There are notebooks, candles, cards, jewelry, baby clothes, soap, incense, kitchen gear, and more. Its a lot of fun to poke around. There is even a discount room in the back. Their staff is always very friendly, and Emily is especially wonderful.

The most well-curated shop in Olympia, maybe the entire South Puget Sound area, or maybe even Western Washington! This is hands-down my favorite place to buy gifts or just something nice to make my day a little brighter. The selection is varied and the taste level is on point and even contains a cheeky, whimsical sense of humor. The store has a nice layout and everything is displayed in a way that is not only pleasing to the eye but also makes it easy to browse. And the staff are a bunch of lovely ladies. Here are some neat things you can find here: beautifully-designed kitchen accessories for your(my) dream kitchen the most intriguing scented candles delightful cards and paper goods by Egg Press and Rifle Paper Co. KALA Swedish soaps Moleskine notebooks of every iteration and color Bodum French presses and gadgets to satisfy any coffee addict unique and elegant jewelry by independent artists smart and quirky toys for baby wonderful ceramics and glassware

Smells a little funky, but it is an import store after all. This means, you get to see interesting African pieces(animals out of wood/bone/etc) and textiles. They also have a cute selection of Asian ceramic bowls, small plates, and tea sets. Off to the side is a travel-y section, with Moleskin journals, a few books, and bags. Near the register is other trinkets, like small Mexican altars, earthen clay pigs, stickers. Past the register is a tiny room that sells fancy, letterpress, expensive cards.(nearly $ 6???) The front glass cases seem to feature more art, such as glass, ceramic, or jewelry. So it’s expensive. The back has a clearance section that holds even more random items than the front. This review is random to reflect the randomness of this store. But it’s worth a walk through. PS: they have QUEENBEE bagsssss!
