Mullinax Ford of Olympia

Found a nice car with very low mileage. The salesman said the tires were to be replaced. When I picked up the car, only the rear tires had been replaced to which the salesman reported they had been measured and were within limits. Less than a month later, I had the oil changed and the tech reported the front tires were badly worn an needed replacing to the tune of $ 275. I called the salesman and the reaction was basically «…too bad, they aren’t going to replace the tires. I didn’t think it was necessary to stipulate this on the contract because the salesman offered the new tires… fooled again. I will not be back to Mulinax Ford.

They say the true measure of a business is not how they act and perform when all is going well, but how they conduct themselves when issues arise.
Mullinax Ford of Olympia had a great used SUV, that was just what my wife wanted for her next vehicle. We also wanted to trade our Ford SUV in as part of the deal. This is where an «Issue» arose. When a CarFax was run on our vehicle, it came back as having a roll over accident. Long story short, the previous owner of our vehicle had installed his Vanity plates from our car when he sold it to us, to his son’s truck, and failed to transfer the plate, but we had put a new plate on ours months before the accident. When the Trooper at the accident ran the vanity plate, he missed that it showed our SUV, and not the son’s pickup truck.
The IMPORTANT thing was how understanding and professional both our Salesman, Nick and the Sales Manager Grant were in handling the whole issue! They worked with us to clear it up, and put a wonderful deal together that met our needs.
If your looking for a place to purchase a new or used car in the Future, you could do no better than trusting the folks at Mullinax Ford in Olympia. You will also find that as a Sales Consultant, you will find no better person than Nick Swanepoel. Hard working, great communication, and absolutely no pressure of any kind!

BEWARE! I went yesterday to test drive a 2006 Acura TL they have for sell right now. I was so excited because I have been wanting a car like this particularly one. However when I was test driving it I noticed the touch screen WASNT working. This wasn’t a huge issue to me, however I of course will not pay full price for something that doesn’t work because I will have to get it replaced. Josh Cook told us that he would have it looked at to see what he could do. He then called me later that day and told me that they were taking it to the Honda dealership to get it «looked at» and that it would take a couple days. Later that day I went to see if it was actually there and it wasn’t, it was still sitting at the dealership. After I got off work at 8pm I went to go see where it was… It was on full display in the front row. I called him this morning and he says «the price is including in how broken it is even tho it cost 3,000 to replace.» Makes sense? The price never changed since the first day. He lost a good customer, my boyfriend and I were willing to purchase the car dispite the fact that the navi was broken and it needs a new timing belt!!(my bf is a mechanic). He obviously didn’t want to sell to us because we are not stupid and he wants to trick someone into paying full price! Even after I read all the negative reviews they have, I gave them a chance and sure enough I am HIGHLY disappointed. Don’t believe anything they say because online it says the navigation is perfect and has a 45 point inspection! See for yourself!

If you had a zero star I would choose that. I only give them a one for that reason. I am a middle aged female, with moderate income and good credit. But this group would never know that, they didn’t seem to care. I was searching for a sedan. When I pulled into the lot NO ONE moved to assist me. When I approached a salesman he appeared aloof and disinterested in selling me a car. He moved slowly, stated the car was a hybrid and said nothing more. I just left. He never introduced himself, he never offered me a card. What sort of salesman is that. I bought a car at another dealer. Stay away if you do not wish to feel insulted. If their sales force is this uncaring, what is their service dept? They lost a sale and customer for my lifetume. thanks.

This was the best car purchasing experience I have ever had. (Yes, I have had quite a few.) Dustin, Diane and the entire team were fun, relaxed and helped us find what we were looking for. I was skeptical to buy from Mullinax since it is a «newer» name in the Olympia area – but, we learned they only have a few dealerships, have a no-​pressure sales style and up-​front pricing. I highly recommend Mullinax @Olympia Auto Mall.

Bought my new truck here 18 months ago and have had it in for minor warranty work and oil changes. I’ve had great service from Kevin, Caesar and Tom. I would recommend using them for anything.

I purchased my 2009 Lincoln MKZ, last month. I was in need of two vehicles. when I found them both at Mullinax, a company my StepFather from Shelton swore by and begged me to go to as they really take pride in customer care and relationships.
I had found both vehicles at one place and was happy it would be done all at once.
Unfortunatly the Grand Caravan I begged for them to hold for me as I was 99% sure to buy but needed to test drive. It was a very good deal with low miles? I now question if it ever was a real deal or the old bait and switch tactic?
Well I was very disappointed when told it had sold. Although it was still there?
I really wanted the minivan. A salesperson told me that someone made a commitment on it and therefore it’s sold. I told him it was me and after he went in and checked he said no they just came in today and want us to hold it until tomorrow. I explained that I had asked them to hold it for me and wanted to know why they didn’t, He literally said «we don’t hold cars for people»???
Anyways I proceeded with my purchasing my used Lincoln MKZ. During the test drive the low tire light came on and stayed on until air was put in front tire when we got back. After they said they would take care of the tire and agreeing to the price and finally getting through the lengthy paper work process.
I was ready to go. It was after Ten when I left for my drive back to West Seattle.
It took 1 ½ to get home.
I woke up early as usual on Sunday to go to church. I got ready and jumped in my new certified used Lincoln MKZ and was excited to drive. Well the tire on the drivers side front was completly flat, I grabbed a ride from a friend and dealt with it when I got home.
After filling the tire with air I drove all the way back to Olympia and had them replace the tire which they insisted needed two so they were the same up front and put the best two on back, I thought great, until they tried to charge me $ 500 to fix them.
I refused after arguing they agreed to pay for one tire, then the service department said with an attitude, well it’s going to be at least four hours because these cars were first. There was one car in the bay, and four guys. I threw one new tire in the trunk and left disgustedz
After getting it swapped out and buying two new tires at Les Schwab, the dash light went off only to reveal the eject error message on the CD player, all my CDs are stuck in my new stereo and will not play or eject, as well half the computer controls on the dash don’t work after putting new fuses in, the one fuse to the controller had been removed, hiding the problem. They told me, oh your warrantee you bought should cover it at any Ford dealer. Well it didn’t, now $ 700 for CD player, $ 550 for rebuilt control switch, can only imagine what else is hidden.
Well a week into owning it, another tire blew out on the rear while dring on I90 12 miles past Issaquah and I was pissed, I pulled off and dug the spare out for the first time and it had been put in upside down, well it had a huge bright screw head sticking out it the sidewall and was flat. After walking the 12 miles to Issaquah to get fix a flat, as all stores were closed and I called Ford in Issaquah because I had towing and lifetime flat repair, well they said, it’s to late now we close in 29 minutes and don’t dispatch past 6:30, «you want to make an appointment for tomorrow»?
I was livid. I could not believe my ears.
I asked them please to at least go tow it to their dealership. Nope, sorry, you can make an appointment for tomorrow.
I had my son drive up from west Seattle with the spare from my Buick which thankfully fit. When I get the other tire fixed they showed me four patches in it and one was very new in the sidewalk where it leaked. After three flats within three weeks. I now have four new tires. Also a new jack as the one in my car was under water and rusted shut!
I am so disappointed in the way I was treated and with the lack of giving a crap about me and my new used car they sold me! I will never go back there or recommend them.
I wonder what it actually was they inspected prior to dumping a problem riddled vehicle on me. I get a sick feeling in my gut now everytime I get in and get ready to drive. I hear the mechanics words over and over, I heard him say to his boss «yeah remember we already discussed the fix on that Lincoln, we popped the fuse» laughing as he didn’t know I was in the restroom and heard him. My stereo needs to be replaced, I can’t track miles as the computer is also broke. They did offer to fix all these problems when I was paying for it. But no luck now after signing on the dotted line. So much for thinking Mullinax Ford was any different then any other.

My wife and I bought a used Honda Accord from them and they were excellent. Best car buying experience we ever had. Turns out I know some of the sales team so they helped us get the best deal for our trade in and get into the car we wanted. Definitely will be doing more business with them.

If only zero stars was an option… This is quite possibly the worst dealership service center in the Northwest. After purchasing a top of the line vehicle from them I had the unfortunate need to bring it in a week later for repair, however I was forced to wait 5 days, to fix my driver’s seat! If that was not bad enough I was forced to bring it back in 2 more times for the same problem. One would think I’d be taken care of, WRONG! Communication was terrible, I repeatedly had to contact them even after asking for frequent updates. Bottom line, find a different place to buy and service your Ford!

I was lured in by a circular saying they would give you 130% of your car’s value in trade-​in, as well as advertising a car for as low as $ 995. I’m looking for a cheap car for my son. Well, their cheapest car was over $ 4000. In addition, I have a 2013 Hyundai Tuscon that I am regretting buying because of the lack of space. These jokester salesmen, Matt and Jeremy tried to talk me into trading my 2013 Tuscon in on a 2008 Chevy, or a 2010 ford… are they for real? They told me that these cars were over $ 45k when they were new! Who cares? They’re half worn out! Twice, I asked to look at a brand new Explorer and twice they diverted me to a used car. Once they found out that I own the title on my car, as I paid cash for it, they were not interested. Much like the jerks at Larson who treated my like dirt because they didn’t make any money off me with financing or buying extras. I don’t know which dealer is worse now!

I’ve been lied to many of times, but dealerships in general lie most of all. All Star Ford keep giving me promises that will never be fulfilled.

Do not go to All-​star for service. their service depart is a management nightmare. They do not have any desire to provide the customer with quality service, they act like they are doing you a favor. I’m paying you jack ass, I want quality, not half an half ass effort.
Even if you have a warrant they try and squeeze a dime out of you. I will never come back to this place, I have given them two honest efforts. I will drive for my service now.

Was lured to the Pacific branch by a mailer which boasted 130% of your KBB for your used car, and lots of vehicles at affordable prices. When we got there, the cheapest they had was a truck for 9.5k.
They sent us over to their Westside Oly branch, which didn’t have any better selection. We found a car that we did like– it was a salesman’s rig he was trying to sell, and they had us fill out a bunch of paperwork– then talked about our trade in amongst themselves. They came back with no solid offer (we could give you maybe 5), and yapped at us a bit about how our bank wouldn’t approve something like what we wanted (what? All we wanted was to know what you’d give us for our car) We wasted a lot of time waiting for them to wheedle around words (4 hours with all the driving and papers, etc) until they finally told us they couldn’t wiggle on something that they wouldn’t be making any profit on.
No thanks, bad taste in my mouth with their misleading ways. We won’t be back and I don’t recommend anyone else go there either.
