Old Navy

Went in this store on Monday night December 21^st. They were having a sale– everything was 50% off and the store was a complete disaster. It looked like a bomb went off. There were clothes just thrown everywhere racks had like 20 different items on them. It looked like they just cleared out their stock room and threw things anywhere. While I understand being that it was a sale and 4 days before Christmas that the store is going to be a messy — this goes way beyond that. Oh yes and there was not one employee working on the floor– maybe that’s part of the problem. The only staff I saw was three extremely slow cashiers and a person working in the fitting room.
I was able to find a few things and I couldn’t pass up the 50% off. So I go to the register to pay and there is a line of about 10 people. There were 3 of the slowest cashiers I have ever seen in my entire life ringing. No sense of urgency what so ever. Oh the manager did pop up to tell them something and then disappeared in the back. They had 4 other registers not being used. I guess the manager was to good to jump up on a register and help ring or bag or something. I don’t understand when these store have all these registers and never use them when they need them. I waiting 20 minutes in line and would have left if the deals weren’t so good. A sign of poor management is when they have such disregard for the front end and think it is ok to make people wait when they can help out or get someone else to. Oh and here’s a novel idea — maybe when you have a huge sale 4 days before Christmas you would beef up your staffing.

Not bad. Asked for Airport sexy jeans. Apparently its not cool for a Forever 41 guy to ask that.

My husband shops here for casual clothes. Old Navy has jeans in tall sizes and occasionally shirts. The last time I shopped here for myself was when I was pregnant. They have (or had) a small selection of maternity shirts that were quite flattering. The selection for my husband it a tad small, but after shopping at this store, he now knows which styles he can order in bulk online.
The sales people and the cashier were friendly and helpful.

Old Navy, it is what it is: cheap clothes, low prices, big selection, and styles that are either indistinctive or only suitable for teenagers.
They make returns pretty easy though.
