We miss you, Sage’s Brunch House… It had the most TASTY biscuits and gravy! We can’t believe it’s gone… Heart broken :(

Went there a month ago to find Sage’s gone, it is now Dino’s which is nothing like Sage’s. The waiter at Dino’s said Sage had retired. We tried the menu at Dino’s and it was pretty predictable, I don’t care for the Dino’s menu. We are really going to miss Sage’s…it was al fresco, affordable and creative.

Sage’s is NOMORE! Say it ain’t so, Sage :-((( I’m told that Dino’s)currently on Harrison) will move into the space on June 1 and that Sage will work there, so maybe(if she’s menu-creating and cooking) Olympia’ great breakfast joint is simply getting a face lift. and a name change.

I literally start salivating thinking about their Beneficial Benedict. It has salmon. And cream cheese. Yum! If you haven’t been here, it’s worth the hassle of finding parking and waiting 20 minutes outside in the rain surrounded by dirty hippies with awful haircuts. It really is a great place to get a familiar dish with a fresh(delicious) new twist.

Who would have thought the brunch house tucked away in a offbeat neighborhood could have such fantastic food! The menu is extensive, but all the choices sound delicious. I tried the migas and surprised at how fresh and flavorful the veggies, bean, meat, and tortillas were — sour cream had an added spice that made it unique. Love the eclectic atmosphere. The art is unique, colors, and furniture bring about the character. This is must do, but be aware that Sage’s is only open until 1:30 pm.

We came here while on our weekend trip to Olympia for a nice brunch before heading back into Seattle. The wait was only 5 minutes and when we entered, This place is so cute and country! The tables and chairs reminded me of the country– and I say this in a very positive way as we were trying to get out of the city. They also had a cute play area for children and someone playing the keyboard. Service is a little slow though. We went family style and ordered: –Smoked salmon scramble– yum; nice and light –Beneficial omelette– probably the weakest link; a little low on the sauce making it a little bit dry –Heuvos Rancheros– heavy but tasty! My 2nd favorite dish. –Blueberry and toasted walnut pancake– I’m not a big sweet breakfast person but this was tasty. This was basically a dessert for us. This portion is huge! No way I could have finished it if weren’t sharing. –Veggie Samosas– My favorite dish! The curry flavor was nice and mild, giving the vegetables a chance to shine. I thought this was also the most unique dish. –Higas-This had meat so I just tasted the non-meat egg and veggie part. IT’s basically an omelette you wrap into a tortilla. This had a very similar flavor as the heuvos rancheros but was lighter. Seemed nice enough. –I also had their yummy chai. Overall, the meal was quite tasty and I already talked to my friend about coming back on my next visit!

Excellent Saturday brunch with family. Kids super happy with normal sized cinnamon-y pancakes. Parents happy with great Olympia Roasting Co. Coffee and adult beverage options. Heuvos Rancheros were fabulous and Galatic Scramble out of this world. Service attentive and friendly, atmosphere eclectic and sunny — toy table of fun for kids to play while waiting. All around thumbs up!

I’m so conflicted. I have eaten here before and I had a great experience, unfortunately I didn’t get around to writing a review at the time. On a vacation to Bellingham with my visiting family, I specifically took them here, raving about how awesome it was the entire drive up from Portland. And the food is awesome. It’s probably the freshest, most unique, and satisfying breakfast food I have ever had. The food is easily five-stars. The service? Not so much. When we got here we were the only people waiting. We were told it would be 10 – 15 minutes. Cool, that’s fine. My favorite breakfast place in Portland(Screendoor) has EPIC waits many orders of magnitude longer than us and I don’t even blink. Then more people started to show up and put their name on the list. Then one group of people was seated before us.* Then another.** Then another. Then another. Then I got up and asked what was going on and the hostess just stared blankly at me blankly and said. absolutely nothing. I asked her when we’d be seated and she briefly became unglazed and said«Probably another 10 – 15 minutes» This was almost an HOUR later from the initial«10 – 15 minutes» estimate. I’m not sure what was going on this day. My theory is that they were trying/hoping we would just walk off flustered and that they never planned on seating us. Either that or every single person waiting were BFF’s of the owner. Well, we stuck it out, and here I am. Our waitress was nice but really didn’t offer any condolences or explanations other than a canned comment about there being a wait. Summary: Food: 5 stars Service: 1 star I’ll let you decide if it’s worth it. *I know what you’re thinking«Maybe they called in and put their name before you?» Yeah, we thought that too. Unfortunately some of the people that were seated before us, got there and asked us «how do you sign up for the wait list». So, that’s not the case. **But maybe you had a large group and they were just a couple? Again, I wish that were the case. There were three of us… and most of the people seated before us were groups of three or more.
