Super quick help getting my daily commuter back on the street after I lost a couple of chainset bolts and bent a chainring. Very nice and they looked to have a good selection of bikes and accessories at fair prices.

Fabulous mechanic(Jim is back!), mixed everything else. All the reviews to date match my experiences, and they are all over the map. Including the«not recommended» reviews. I am happy with the bike and the deals I got from Falcone’s, and thrilled with Jim’s work. He customized a new bike for me, at cost — to my specs, and with his own great ideas added for free. What an amazing guy. I’ve learned to only deal with Jim, and to always phone ahead.

Having just moved to Oly, I didn’t know where to take my 2 project bikes when I finally got overwhelmed by them. When Jim showed me his own bike, I knew I had come to the right place.(Seriously – ask him to see his bike. The man is a genius.) He did an expert job for an extremely reasonable price. He even fabricated some parts himself. I will NEVER take my bike anywhere else!

I know this place as Falcone’s. That’s what their sign says… anyway. This is the ONLY place I’ll bring my bike to! Local place, the mechanic Jim is the most bike-savvy man, and he will betroth you with tons of knowledge! Not just about bikes, but about the workings of humanity and the world. They don’t take long to fix your bike here, but plan to stay a while just to listen to Jim’s words. They try their best to get your bike in the best shape while charging you with the least money. I have saved 100s of dollars getting my bike repaired here, so I try my best to buy any supplies I need here. Gotta support the good stuff. And seriously, Take a moment and talk to Jim.

I had a mixed experience at this bike shop. I was in the market for a Terry bike, and this shop is the closest dealer to Seattle. I called up to see if they had a bike in my size in stock, and they said that they did, just not the style I was looking for, so I decided to take a ride down to see if the size would even work for me. Arriving at the shop after driving from Seattle, it turned out that they did not have any Terry bikes in stock in my size. Instead, a sales associate sent me out on a test ride on a bike from a different brand that was too small for me. Another man, the manager, I think, did then come and talk to me about ordering a bike and gave me some useful information and said he would follow up a few days later after being in touch with the company. Instead, it was more like a week or two, and in the mean time, I had found another bike. It’s unfortunate that I was a very good candidate for a customer, but I came away with a frustrating experience, and a waste of a Saturday afternoon.

Wow. I walked in and instantly wished I hadn’t. I was virtually blocked from entering the store by the guy working there. Very abrasive dude made me feel completely unwelcome. I had to ask permission to look around. I’ll take my money elsewhere.

I have to give this place five stars. We are ignorant fools where it comes to bicycling. Our kids were invited to a bike birthday party and silly us, we wait until the morning of to do something about the $ 20 Wal-mart Black Friday special bikes that won’t seem to stay together. We loaded up the minivan with bikes and went on over to the nearest bike shop which happened to be this one. Schwinn, is it? I didn’t even know the name of the place, just the location. We were greeted by a host of characters, as is customary in any small shop in Olympia… which I love by the way. Nonetheless we settled in on an employee that introduced himself as James and patiently answered all of our ridiculously ignorant questions. He also entertained and educated three restless children, whom he made feel very comfortable and not at all like the little busy bodies they were being. He quickly repaired both bikes on the spot, given our time crunch, and worked to get us the best deal possible, insisting that we were not wasting his time at all when my husband apologized for our lack of knowledge. Here’s the best part, though. While he was fixing the bikes, he showed my husband how to do it himself the next time with a few tricks and shortcuts(also pointing out which shortcuts not to take). I was very relieved as we went on our way to the birthday party, only 30 minutes late and just in time for bike-trail scavenger hunt. Three happy kids, two better bikes, one impressed mom! Thank you James! You made our day a success! (Turns out it is actually called«Falcone’s Bicycle Center»… anyway to change that on here?)
