We had a great result with this U-Haul dealer and have used them many times over the years. I believe by reading other reviews that mostly you get the people who are unhappy to do these reviews. We would recommend and will use this dealer again in the future.

The angry reviews below seem to reflect customers general frustration with moving and confusion around U-haul’s reservation policy and not this actual location — in fact, of the myriad of U-haul locations I’ve done business with across the PNW this is the ONLY one that delivered prompt, attentive service. When unexpected snowfall added time to my moving process I called to find out how much I would owe for returning the truck late; they immediately waived the fee and added time to my truck rental at no cost. They gave me helpful price comparison information that ended up saving me a significant amount of cash(although I wish I’d known they carry the absolute cheapest –and even some free– boxes before I’d bought all of mine!) and made the truck rental and return process(something that has usually been a thorn in my side during moves) the easiest part of my day. Would absolutely rent from them again.

Would give them 0 stars if I could. Made a reservation, or so I thought, day before moving and I find out they never made it… After I found out they never made my reservation that 2 days prior they said they made, I asked to talk to a manager and ended up waiting 20 minutes for her. When I finally talk to her, she doesn’t care ATALL that my reservation wasn’t made or that I just had to wait 20 minutes for her. Couldn’t even fake an apology. And apparently she didn’t have a manager I could talk to, to hopefully get some descent customer service. I won’t be going through uhaul now.

One star… I don’t give out a lot of one star ratings because I can usually find something good about any place, but I will be avoiding this U-Haul business like the plague. My daughter and son-in-law moved up from California and used two of the U-Box containers U-Haul offers. They were delivered to this location. They called and made a RESERVATION to pick them up. The first thing that went wrong was our reservation doesn’t mean anything other than they will have them on a trailer at that time. NOT that they will help you or be ready for you at that time. We still had to wait 45 minutes while they took their time on other customers buying boxes etc… Finally it was our turn and they had us pull our truck down and hook up to the trailer. They manager(Tyler Andersen) was helping us and after he hooked it up mentioned he didn’t think our full size Dodge 4X4 truck was large enough to pull the trailer. It would have to be rated for at least 5,000 pounds. He mentioned we might have to rent one of their trucks. We were instructed not to leave yet so we got the owner’s manual out for our truck and it said the rated towing capacity was 7,250 pounds. Well over the 5,000 he mentioned. We go inside to find him and he is now sitting behind his desk helping other customers so we have to wait again for our turn in line… I’m getting a bit upset at this time because I don’t believe customer service involves ignoring customers and making them wait in line more than once. When we get back up to his desk I point out the owner’s manual rating and he said it doesn’t matter because the«Curb Weight» of the truck isn’t enough. I tell him the truck can handle that trailer and the content just fine and we will sign a disclaimer of liability if he wants. He just kept saying he can’t let us take it as the curb weight isn’t enough. I ask where he is getting his information from and he turned from me and was starting to ask another customer if he could help them. At this time I was furious as I’m not accustom to having someone treat me so rudely, so I jumped in and was not going to allow him to ignore me so he finally said we can either rent one of their trucks or they will have to load the U-Boxes on a lighter trailer and that would take another hour and half. The assistant manager came by and said he would load the boxes on another trailer right now for us so we could get going. He saved the day as for us getting these boxes to my daughters. We looked up «Curb Weight» and it’s the trucks gross weight found in the driver’s side door jam. It was over 6,600 pounds. I believe he just wanted to rent us a truck.

Staff was very polite and helpful!!! They could tell that we had had a miserable few days prior to arriving at their facility to unload into a storage unit and return a truck, and went out of their way to make sure that we were well taken care of. About an hour and a half before they closed, they came and let us know about the time, and reminded us(kindly) that we needed to be out by closing, and then added that they would be sure to come back and give us a ten minute warning. It was all done in a kind and respectful manner. I’m looking forward to dealing with them again in the near future!

Person behind counter heard me come in, and kept cleaning the bathroom for 5 more minutes as I stood there. I rented a storage unit and returned the truck I had driven. I like how they’re both in one spot. Place is clean and well organized. Fair price.

These guys are great! I parked my car here for about 10 days as I rented a UHaul truck to drive to San Diego, where my daughter just moved. When I got back to pick up my car, they remembered me and asked about the trip, which is a really nice feeling. They really care. And they washed my car while I was gone! Excellent customer service. I hope I never again have to make the drive from Olympia to San Diego, but if I do and I have to move a lot of furniture again, I will use them. *this review was written by Gemma B’s mother*
