Wildworld Aquarium & Reptile

Horrible experience I walked in with my girlfriend very interested in getting a snake as a new pet. Were not experts and wanted to get some information. I walked in and there was one employee on duty face down in an iPad. I have no problem with people using devices at work but at least put them down when there’s a customer. I asked how much a terrarium was. One that had more than one in stock and was clearly boxed for sale and instantly without looking up said «it’s sold.» I then had ask again and even walk him over and pursuade him it wasnt sold out. Even if it was sold, he didn’t try to help me find another one that was in stock. It’s like he didn’t want to deal with me. I then continued to look around. Then I found some gorgeous snakes. I hovered on front of home waiting for him to help us out but he was still on his iPad. I then said «Me and my girlfriend said were very interested In getting a snake». Without looking up he grunted «cool». I then tried to be understand and spark a conversation and asked if he was about to leave it might have been a long day for him but he said «no». At this point it was obvious I wasn’t going to get any help my girlfriend and I left very ignored.

This is the best Aquarium store in Thurston County, The owner and staff are helpful and knowledgable. The selection isn’t as large as Aquarium Paradise in Lakewood, but it’s all healthy and the owner does special orders. Unlike the chain petstores, these fish are well cared for and will not bring nasty diseases to your tank.
I don’t think it is hard to find, it’s right next to the Iron Rabbit Restaurant in West Oly.

To be fair, I know almost nothing about aquariums, except what I see on Tanked. Their selection of fresh water seemed very small. They had some really neat corals. Not many saltwater fish either. I like to hear that Emma said the fish were healthy. We bought a fish at another local store and it was dead in a week. The person behind the counter was brusk — not very friendly or helpful.

This was a disappointment. First of all it is hard to find — the photo gives you an idea of the front of the place. We drove around the parking lot three times before we found it — it did not help the light on the sign was off and the windows are blocked out.
They have virtually no fish and not many tanks. The owner was very nice and I am guessing most of their business is setting up home/​officer tanks.
Apparently it is the only small tropical fist store in Olympia so you do not have that much of a choice. The owner appears to be knowledgeable so I am not sure if the market is so small he can’t support more fish or this store is such a little part of his business he doesn’t really try.

I love this place. They are always so helpful and really go above and beyond. Every singe fish I have purchased from this place has been very healthy, and I am always satisfied with the other products they sell me. HIGHLY recommended — never going to a chain again!
