Growing up, Arby’s used to run a special featuring five of their signature roast beef sandwiches for $ 5. It totally ruled when my dad would bring home a bag roast beef sammies after work when he had dinner duty. There was just something magical about dumping a couple packets of Arby’s sauce on top of the thin sliced roast beef and chowing down. I still crave it every once in a while. Just yesterday, I found myself at this particular Arby’s drive through ordering up a few of their new sliders. For $ 1.49 each, they aren’t a bad deal, but nowhere near as good as the five for $ 5 specials from 20 years ago(lol). I tried a buffalo chicken, regular chicken, and a reuben. Don’t bother with the reuben. Much like their roast beef, the corned beef isn’t exactly top quality. The two chix were simple and tasty — just meat, cheese and a little sauce. The buns were a little spongy, as if they were just out of the microwave. The best part? Curly fries.

Very spotty service. Sometimes you go in and they act like they’re offended that you’re bothering them. I will say, however, that service has been much better as of late. And I think it shows — what used to be an empty restaurant surrounded by an empty parking lot is now pretty busy.

The food was fresh, hot and oh so good. The service was friendly and I could have all the free ketchup I wanted for my food. lol.
