File this coffeehouse’s vibe under«chillin». Good music at just the right volume level for conversation. The space is brightly painted with high ceilings, numerous tables and sitting areas for Java loving patrons. The staff is helpful and friendly. I ordered the Americano which was good and strong. The Café Mocha is rich and chocolaty. They also have cold press coffee, macchiatos and other selections to choose from. Grab a seat by the large front window so you can people watch as you enjoy your top notch coffee beverage. As I was leaving, someone was arriving with fresh muffins. I didn’t get a chance to purchase one, but this is another good reason to come back!

One of the best places to go in cold Nebraska weather. Smooth coffee. Great service. Really enjoy the lattes, which if you stay are served in HUGE cups and so delicious.

Finally tried this new coffee shop in town. It is EXCELLENT! Great addition to downtown Omaha, which definitely needed a good coffee shop. I got a vanilla latte and it was perfectly crafted, and nice and strong. The location is convenient to all shops and restaurants downtown(and on my drive in to work!). Even though they were very busy, the service was nice and fast. Try it out next time you need a jolt of caffeine and you find yourself downtown.

When I walked into the beansmith, the barista told me that they were closing at 5pm. I looked at my Apple Watch and said, «yeah it’s 4:57.» He told me that they had already shut off the espresso machine so my only option was to order cold coffee(appetizing when it’s 10 degrees outside). I ordered the nitro coffee, which came from a tap like beer and was very strong. I think that new coffee shops need to be more responsive to customers, especially who come in ready to spend money during working hours. In the old market, when places stay open into the evening, why close at 5pm?

GREAT Coffee for Omaha just ok coffee based on Orange County &LA bean scene. Their homemade mocha really shines, and makes up for where their V60 falls flat.

One of the best coffee shops in Omaha, The Beansmith takes coffee and espresso drinks very seriously. If you are looking for a drink with sugary syrups or an extensive hidden menu, this isn’t the place for you. They do coffee and espresso, and they do it well. Their beans are roasted in town, and the utmost care is put into ensuring the highest quality. On my most recent visit the barista gave me a helpful run down of the coffees they had prepared, as well as the different methods I could have my coffee made. With a stripped down and subtle décor, absolutely nothing distracts from The Beansmith’s passion: great coffee.

Great space, skilled barisra, well roasted coffee all added up to a fine, tasty, tangy flat white that held its own against many of West coast places I frequent. Bravo! A great find in Omaha!

It’s safe to say that this is my favorite coffee shop in Omaha, perfect for studying on a speedy free wi-fi or catching up with a friend. Clean, sleek and almost futuristic in its bright interior with huge storefront windows. Beansmith also offers wonderful roasts and and a passionate staff. What puts this place over the top: 1) Nitro cold brew 2) Rewards card 3) FREE refills on their hot coffee. I can’t say enough good things about this place– you’ll just have to check it out yourself!

Being from LA I consider myself quite the coffee snob. In town for one day I was hoping to find decent coffee and luckily ran into this gem. Coffee was excellent and the service was well above par. You will not be disappointed.

This place felt cool and modern. The chairs not so comfy but the vibes were fresh and masculine. Service was nice and very friendly. I ordered a vanilla latte on ice and it was delicious. My friends iced mocha was great as well. I was a fan of the whole experience but it’s a little overpriced. I may also say it’s a little too simplistic. Only two types of snacks were available and the menu seemed barren for coffee drinks and variety.

The new Beansmith Coffee shop is a wonderful addition to the Old Market coffee scene which, aside from a revamped Aromas, has been slacking a bit in recent years. I had a double expresso, featuring their own expertly roasted beans. It came with a small glass of sparkling water to help clear the palate between sips, something I haven’t seen before locally(or elsewhere for that matter). I think this just shows the attention to detail Beansmith puts into its product. The dedication to the craft of coffee also shines through when you chat up one of the baristas, who are more than happy to get into the intricacies that go into making your drink of choice. I believe Beansmith is housed in what used to be the Antiquarium. While I miss that dusty, worn in space more than most people, the modern and bright décor of the new coffee shop is warm and inviting and a good fit for the neighborhood. I’m so glad Beansmith has a proper coffee shop in a location where people can appreciate their wonderful coffee.

So I’m a coffee drinker now. Espresso. Well, lattes. Well, large vanilla lattes sweetened with two packets of this raw sugar stuff I see at all of these cool new coffee shops. Beansmith, of course, being one of them. And one of the good ones. I’ve enjoyed three lattes here in three trips, and I have to say they’re pretty darn good. My first one was lacking some punch and depth, but the last two were consistent. Rich, just enough bitter with all the sweet(that I added myself, thank you). It’s good brew. Really like the atmosphere here. White and wood. The chairs are made out of recycled bottles and I even checked the website of the company that makes them, and I kinda want to buy all of their chairs. Big bonus for Beansmith? It’s fairly quiet here in the morning and afternoon for being downtown. Great for getting work done, taking a work meeting or just relaxing. Even better? The big long bench along the east wall is padded and you can sit there for hours if you want to. Some of these other coffee shops(the non-corporate ones) have some fairly uncomfortable chairs. Beansmith is good! Glad they’re in that space downtown.

I love to taste test in general, but I never had a breakthrough with coffee until Beansmith. These are some truly beautiful cups of coffee that you’ll want to savor out on a sunny stoop, with no other distractions. Your tongue might not be able to discern floral notes from strawberry, but you will be able to instinctively note the differences and pick out your favorites even as a novice. I became a Beansmith junkie overnight and buy a cup every day I am working in Omaha. I’ve also bought their beans to brew at home, and with the primitive methodology of hand grinder and french press, it is nearly as good. I’m not here to hate on other coffee places, but now I know that if you can’t appreciate the subtleties in your cup of coffee, it’s not you — you’re just going to the wrong place. p’s. The staff at the Old Market location is a miracle in its own right. Every time I’m in there I feel like I’m on a movie set because they seem too good to be real. There isn’t a barista in there who doesn’t look you in the eye and greet you with oddly sincere warmth and familiarity. They are both professional and at ease. I can’t comment on their skills because I’m too addicted to the coffee to order an espresso drink, but it always strikes me as an example of one of those rare moments in the service industry where the stars align and everyone at a location is pulling their weight and happy.

Very upscale, yet comfortable, in the new location at Harney St. Cappuccino is the best I have ever had. The savory gougere are amazing, low carb high protein. If I lived here this would be a regular enjoyment! Still, the BEST coffee!!!

The best coffee ever served by lovely people. I am addicted to Laranjal — seriously, l seriously wake excited for that first cup. I love the Tigerlily espresso and wish the Harney store sold the Alleycat espresso. I am new to Omaha and Beansmith is my first and most serious relationship.

Hip, airy space. High quality coffee. Barristas are knowledgeable and friendly. We’ll be back to try an espresso drink. Lots of people working. The few baked goods look delicious.
