Benson Beer Fest

The Benson Beer Fest was fantastic. I loved sampling the extensive variety of local, regional and national beers, many of them exclusive to this event.
I also loved the focus on local home brewers. I found myself hanging out around their booths the most. For one, it gave me a chance to try some beers I’ll never be able to find again. Two, well, they were a really lively and fun bunch to be around.
If you’re a fan of micro brews or simply enjoy having a good time alongside 1,000 other people on a lovely Saturday afternoon, don’t miss the Benson Beer Fest the next time it rolls around.

As good as it gets! Plain and simple. A great day to be in Benson. I started at Benson Brewery and the day only got better as the time went by. I had the opportunity to hook folks up with some Unilocal swag if they were hip to the program and to my surprise, Unilocal Omaha is on point. Nearly everyone that got a koozie already had Unilocal on their smart device. Those that didn’t quickly got via their app store and we all had amazing beer to enjoy.
From the big names like New Belgium to some of my faves like Benson Brewery and 402 Railroaders and South Omaha Brewers, they all had good beer. I enjoyed talking with all the folks and joking with them. Lucky Buckets’ Oud Bruin was to be my most liked, but we know that already.
Overall it was a great time and I enjoyed Barley Street Tavern afterwards. Getting home safely was in part, due to Lyft. Yay Omaha. The season of ‘Fests has begun and I cannot wait for the next one.
