Wow! There is something about this place’s custom blended beef that makes their burgers stand above the rest. I ordered the Lone Star burger with Onion Rings on the side. The burger was so juicy and delicious! I love the buttered and grilled potato bun that they use! I ordered it medium, as my server recommended and I would recommend the same to anyone else. She said that ordering it medium helps to bring out the juices from their custom blend and she was right! The rings were also top notch, as well. It may seem a bit pricey because it is an «a la carte» menu, but going out to eat is never cheap and I’m willing to pay for a quality product. I can’t wait to go back and try something new!

If you are going to a Creighton basketball game, start your pre-gaming here! Great food & drink selection and the staff makes you feel welcome. They definitely go above and beyond with their free shuttle to Creighton games for patrons. Highly recommend!

I stay at the attached Holiday Inn in downtown Omaha when visiting my work HQ. Burger Theory is a good addition to the property with a good craft selection and menu options. Haleigh takes great care of the guys at Fox Blocks when we visit. And, early AM they have a good hot breakfast to get us rolling for the day. We will be back.

Update: I had a chance to have the best onion rings and a few more menu items since last review. The kitchen staff is fantastic at figuring out just what I need. The wait staff is friendly and happy to do their job. So let’s set things straight. There are only about 4 Burger theory locations in the US. They are all connected to a Holiday Inn hotel. They are part of the brand. As such, they have strict guidelines to adhere to that were made up by folks that thought things looked good on paper. Omaha’s Burger theory is no different. There is a certain form of greeting seating and serving that has to be the same as others. This location is convenient and as I have talked to more of the employees I know they have had changes since opening. the old restaurant that was here was crap, we know that. Burger Theory is a nice change of pace in a town that is saturated with so many quick casual burger joints. The food is good. The beer selection(like 20) is great. this is the only place I know of that carries ‘Trooper’, the great beer with Iron Maiden imagery. Foodwise, the pizza is addicting. Perfectly molten toppings and a zesty crust. You CAN get a veggie burger here, just sub out the meat on any burger. I am glad that I waited to see for myself.

I ate here right after they opened and was underwhelmed, so imagine my surprise when I went back recently and it was actually really damn good. I have eaten my fair share of burgers and was please at how solidly executed the Lone Star Burger was. The wings were tasty as well, and Michael’s service was stellar. However, they earned their five star review with the best onion rings I’ve ever had. They were unreal and have haunted my thoughts ever since. Five stars, would eat again.

Adequate food. Burgers are good quality and juicy, but toppings and buns need an upgrade to make them worth the price. Pizza is good, salads are standard.

This restaurant has gotten a lot of knocks in earlier reviews, they have been open now almost 9 months. They are located near to my house, but we held off on trying it for a long time because of the negative feedback. First off-how it looks: very nice, outside and inside. Large sprawling bar inside with many seats and lots of beer and drink choices. 20 Tv scattered throughout for you to watch the game, and clean minimalistic modern/industrial décor. Parking: around the back, but you can enter the restaurant thru the connected adjacent Holiday Inn Service: Seems fine to me on all the occasions we have dined in. Most visits were at off hours though as a note. Food: Yes, a bit pricier than other restaurants of similar caliber, but this is ultimately meant for tourists and visitors so I find the prices pretty normal for that. The burgers run starting at $ 10 and if you add fries $ 3 more. I love their fries here though. It reminds me of the ones at five guys(which I also love)! Give it chance at least, if you can get past the price it’s worth it.

I’ve been here three times and every time the food has been great. The burgers were juicy and seasoned well and the onion rings were pretty damn good. Service was also decent, my only knock on this place is it’s a tad expensive but it is connected to a holiday inn that caters to travelers and business people so that’s to be expected i guess.

I was so mad when I left… Won’t ever be going back. My wife and I went out for lunch. We both got a burger and a side(fries for her, onion rings for me.) our bill after tip was $ 35.00. The burger wasn’t any better than a fast food burger. Patty was smaller than the bun(which was nothing special — just a standard white bun off the shelf at the store. The burgers don’t come with a side but they don’t tell you. After we ordered a burger we got«Would you like a side at all?» The place was WAY too quiet…

Per other reviews brews are spendy. Now that you are going in with your eyes wide open for me the ratings are about the food. The burgers are excellent be they ala cart. No knock on 5 Guys but their burgers are also for the person complaining about that aspect. I can definitely recommend the Lone Star burger and onion rings. We made a special point of stopping here again after having eaten here in prior visit to Omaha area. As for beer prices… water is always an option.

Very disappointed. The Farm Fresh burger was maybe a tad better than a Five Guys burger. I expected much more from a $ 10 burger that didn’t come with any side items. But that wasn’t the worse of it. The burger was ‘fine’, but the beer was the big issue. They have a decent selection of brews, including some good Nebraska brewed beers, and other mainstays in bar; Bud, Coors, Sierra Nevada, etc. The problem? The prices of the beer!!! Holy mother of God, $ 7 for a PBR??? Outside of a stadium, I’ve NEVER seen a PBR that expensive, not by a long shot! Miller High life, $ 7??? Then you order a Boulevard Ale… $ 9??? No wonder the place had maybe 5 tables of customers out of the thirty available. This is about as close as you get to price gouging. I would have easily had 4 or 5 more beers, after my original two, if it were not for the ripoff prices. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost. Send them a message for trying to rip off customers. I bet their repeat customer numbers are near zero.

Way too expensive for a burger that doesn’t even cover the entire bun. Got the turkey burger, cooked well but incredibly salty. Daughters chicken tenders were so over fried and dried out she couldn’t chew them. BBQ sauce tasted like tomato paste. Not impressed. They have an awesome location, gotta get the food and the prices right to compete with Blatt, etc. Update: I wrote this before paying and leaving. My total for 3 burgers w/fries and a kids meal was $ 54. Insane. Also, on a bright note, the table buser was such a great guy with a wonderful attitude about his job. We had a little chat and he was so proud to be their only table buser at the restaurant for the College World Series. His manager was standing near him and when he tried to maneuver around her he dropped a few things. Her response was to back away and put her hands up and say«that wasn’t me» and then proceed to kick the silverware towards him. My kids even commented on how rude she was, so we tipped him directly as well as our waitress who was pleasant.

I’m from out-of-town, staying at the Fairfield Inn next door to Burger Theory. Stopped in because it was so close. First came in for a beer last night. Bartender was friendly and on point. Good beer selection, however, very high-priced. Today I came in again for lunch and was sorely disappointed. I was asked to seat myself and ran into a friend who was eating there so I sat with him. The staff must have forgotten about me because I was not approached by a server until my friend’s server came to check on him. She was surprised to find me sitting there, but went on to get me a menu. I have very high standards for burgers and fries so I won’t order them unless it’s Lucky 13 or the burger is highly recommended, however, I didn’t follow my rule this time. I thought I would try the Rodeo burger. Since«burger» is in the name of the restaurant, I thought I’d test it out. Their theory on burgers turns out to be a pretty low standardized one. The onion rings were sub-par. The bun was basically an untoasted generic Wonder Bread imitation bun that fell apart and became soggy as I attempted to eat the burger. The patty was too greasy. I was«that person» and asked to trade out the rings for fries, but, not surprisingly, the fries weren’t worth the calories either. If I’m gonna eat fatty food, it better be good. I also don’t usually just pick at my food, but I just couldn’t finish it. Huge regret. I basically threw away $ 20

I’m upset and haven’t even got my food yet. I asked the bartender if she had any recommendations for food, she suggested wings… Isn’t this a burger place? Should I not get a burger? The beer is pretty expensive for Omaha and the service has been terrible already. I hope This gets better. Also, burgers are pretty pricey considering they don’t cry With a side. I pry won’t be back.

Warning… detailed review incoming! Location and Ambiance: Great location… and will only get better as the area near the stadium is developed. The inside is very nice. Easy to navigate and the seating is spacious. The bar is amazing. big and open. Service. My server, Tory, was very nice and on top of things. She knew the history of the company and had tried most of the food and was able to share her thoughts. Tory gets 4.5 out of 5 stars. As the restaurant continues to work out the bugs. I expect the service to get even better. Food: blah. I expected the burger to get great… it is a burger place… but the burger had zero seasoning and was extremely over cooked. I had asked for Medium and it came out well done like a hockey puck. The cooks may end up being the downfall for this place. Besides my burger being over cooked and short a patty. All of the condiments were under the burger and they forgot to put mayo on it. The server confirmed that she wrote these notes and the kitchen blew it. Overall. This place has huge potential. The kitchen staff will need to step up and something special will need to be done for the burgers to make this place worth coming back to. I can see it being a staple … but these tweaks will need to be done quickly or it won’t last 6 months.

In Omaha for work, hotel said this place was brand new, decided to give it a try. I had their parm-crusted fish sandwich, a side salad, and a soda. My bill was $ 17.00 after tax before tip. The salad was fine but the menu said it was a $ 4.00 add-on so I was expecting a little something special. At half that price my expectations would have been more in-line with what was served. The fish sandwich was borderline inedible. It was extremely hard, over cooked, and dry. So dry in fact, the meat was actually fibrous. The parm crust was a nearly burnt hard shell entombing an almost flavorless unseasoned piece of awful. Thank God for tartar sauce. I’d come back and give them another chance since I didn’t air my complaints in person, but I’ll probably opt for a(more expensive) burger next time.
