I have been to this location twice after Schuck’s lunches. I generally go to the small drive thru on Maple and 129th. Without a doubt, Crane’s consistently has the friendliest baristas for the«small drive thrus» I visit. Also, after trying several, they have the best White Mocha and the Turtle is an excellent drink as well.

5 stars for nostalgia. No really, the drinks are really tasty, the espresso here isn’t as bitter as I’ve had at other places. I’m not sure if they still use that hydrogenated oil based«whip cream» like they did back in the day, hopefully they do not. I hear they still have the most amazing reduced fat orange muffins though! I used the drive through on this visit so I didn’t check out the interior.

I got a coffee and sat down in one of the comfortable loungers to study my material for upcoming exams. As I sat there I noticed a lot of locals coming in and chatting while enjoying their cup of joe, a business dressed individual working on finance stuff, and a group of ladies chatting it up with the working staff. It had a nice homey feel to it and I was able to get some studying done. The coffee was okay, too. I just got my usual, a large dark roast. It could have been stronger but it did the job. Caffeinated and on my way…

Quality coffee, organic teas, and awesome service! Also love that there’s decaf brewed in the afternoon — for those of us that like a ½ caf :)

To top off our mother daughter date day we decided to try out Crane coffee. I believe my sister and I stopped by through the drive through here several years ago, but since then I have yet to visit this location since. We walked in and I was surprised how inviting and large the room was. There were ample comfy chairs throughout the room and a little fireplace in the corner. I ordered a Vanilla mocha and my mom had the sport tea. We sat down in the comfy chairs in the far corner of the room and savored the relaxing moment. We stayed there for awhile finishing our drinks and enjoying the comfort of the atmosphere. The staff was friendly and proficient, it wasn’t too busy but he also didn’t take his time with our drinks. It was a windy & cold day so we slowly finished our drinks and got ready to leave. It was a pleasant time to come to crane and enjoy a hot drink on a cold day, around lunch time, the crowd was minimal and the time we had to just sit back and relax was much needed. We’ll certainly be coming back for more warm drinks or even to try some smoothies this summer!

I met a friend here and tried a flat white. My friend had an unflavored latte. The flat white was served in a cute little glass cup with a saucer, and the barista was very friendly. I thought the layout of the place was nice as there was plenty of room to sit and if I had brought my laptop in, it would have been an ideal place to study. That said, the flat white was very disappointing. There was a little dry foam in the drink but no wet foam that I could detect, and the dry foam had lots of bubbles, it reminded me of dish soap suds. The espresso was tasty. The overall drink was a downer because I was excited to see a more sophisticated drink available in a local café. Unfortunately the execution needed some work. My friend’s latte had no foam on top at all, it looked to be only espresso and milk. The flavor was okay.

The staff is excellent, which is a big deal to me. Their coffee wakes me up and the staff helps me have a good start to the day. And they sometime give my dog is a treat so he likes it too. It’s a chain-type place, yes, but the coffee and other drinks are very good. It’s not worth it to me to sit in a line at Dunkin’ Donuts for a similar cup of joe.

I was in Omaha for the week and decided to try this coffee shop since it was nearby. I have to say I’m incredibly spoiled when it comes to coffee shops because my regular coffee shop(Radina’s in Manhattan, KS) is outstanding(roast their own coffee, have cute personalized mugs, fantastic baristas, etc.). That said, Crane Coffee was okay. I had a cinnamon muffin which was very moist and delicious(tastes a lot like coffee cake) and a café mocha. The mocha was pretty good — not quite as chocolatey as I’m accustomed to, but still good. There are several comfortable chairs as well as tables and chairs. Free Wi-fi is a must for me and was available. I have to agree with Michelle that I like that it is locally owned and there is good natural lighting which is nice. The only thing that bothered me a little was that the shop didn’t seem super clean. It wasn’t crawling with bugs by any means, but it looked like it had been awhile since it had seen a vacuum and there were crumbs on the tables. However, I did enjoy the music selection. I heard everything from Indie rock to country to «Hungry Like the Wolf.» The hours of operation are pretty limited. They do have a drive-thru so you can quickly pick up coffee before work. I would recommend this coffee shop if you’re in the area, but I have to say I liked Bear Creek Café better.

Best coffee in Omaha – bar none! Locally owned and operated — always a plus in my book. Coffee is consistently wonderful! Baristas are friendly and proficient. Crane always offers a welcoming environment. This location is significantly more comfortable for hanging around with plenty of room for computer work or easy chairs for reading. Well lit with natural lighting, nice plus for reading. They close at 6 which doesn’t allow for late night collaborating but they open early — always by 6. Open 7 days a week. Try a vanilla silk granita on a hot day or a raspberry white chocolate mocha to warm up a chilly morning. Personally, my favorite, a dirty chi latte. As for pastries try the best frosted sugar cookie or a simply delicious cranberry scone. Also, this location exhibits great art by local artists for sale and some most interesting jewelry and cards! Stop in, you won’t be disappointed!
