I was hoping to stay here all afternoon to get some paperwork done on the patio but after an hour had to leave. In the short time I was here, over eight people came outside of the apartment complex to smoke and stood/sat right next to the patio without any consideration for others. I don’t know if the business is able to put up a sign saying«no smoking within — ft of building», but I’m hoping something gets done about this because it can really ruin a person’s experience. Overall cute coffee shop and I read previously that it’s dog friendly!

The woman was no vey inviting. I asked her not to microwave my daughters bagel, but she microwaved mine with out asking. Terrible experience. Bagels were old. My bagel had mold. When I tried to call no one answers. I will try to post photos.

I don’t know what it is about their lattes(the espresso, I assume) but they are incredible. The place is cozy and the staff are friendly. Once I left my purse there and a barista FB messaged me to give it back. So kind!

Super cute spot. Casual and a nice place to enjoy a good coffee. Ordered a cappuccino and a Bliss bakery muffin for about $ 6 which is not bad. Overall very good. Like the atmosphere. Quite, and charming.

I went there when it first opened, and was impressed. Amazing architecture, looks like a bldg you would find in SF, not omaha, and I’m a big fan of building up that neighborhood. I loved the décor/ambience of the coffee shop and the fact that its dog friendly. Coffee is good, but I have yet to find the ultimate cup of joe in Omaha. They do have soy milk so that is a plus. They used to have pinpoint rewards that you could use, maybe they still do, but I always forget to use mine. I only remember when first visiting an establishment b/c I always want to reap the«welcome» reward. Its under new ownership now, I believe the old owner of caffeine dreams, but you really can’t tell the ownership has changed as its still friendly as ever. Only thing I noticed is they got rid of the salmon bagel w/cream cheese w/a side of pear, which I found to be divine. They have free wifi and is usually pretty quiet to get some studying/reading in. oh and if you try to search echo coffee shop on google maps it comes up as commonwealth café, so maybe the name has changed too?

Went here for my birthday and got a blended mocha drink, felt a lil awkward when asking for certain drinks and was looked at rudely. Shrugged it off I ordered my drink with no help from the barista, and just asked for the blended mocha with almond milk. It was delicous and I did enjoy the place just hope im treated friendlier next time nothing more akward then being treated rude, but hey maybe he was having a bad day so im always up for a challenge to make someone turn that frown upside down

As others have pointed out, this is not a place to grab a quick cup of coffee. This is a place to get coffee that is perfectly crafted and brewed and served in a way that makes it a delight, and that takes some time. However, you will want to take the time to enjoy the space and to enjoy talking with the people who work there, Justin especially. Whether you want to simply enjoy coffee or to study or read in the shop, the experience is always one that is worth it.

I had been avoiding this place because it’s really dog friendly and I do not like dogs indoors. But my friend dragged me here one afternoon anyway, and I’ve since been back twice in a matter of weeks, so I’m officially hooked! There’s usually a nice mix of people– some studying quietly, one or two watching television, others chit chatting lowly. I’m usually on the patio with a book. They have cushions for the larger patio chairs just inside the front doors. Dogs do indeed come and go with their owners, but the folks here keep them on short leashes and they don’t let them come up to you. This makes this place possible for me to visit. Visually I love the space. I imagine I’ll be doing some studying of my own here as the weather cools down.

We were just walking by and stopped in for a drink. This place is adorable and fantastic. Friendly service, interesting menu options and just a generally great place to hang out for a bit.

I can’t say anything bad about Echo, which I consider to be one of Omaha’s very best coffee shops. Here’s a short list of the things that are great about this place: the expertly prepared and finely roasted coffee, their Americano, the pastries, the laid back staff and the chilled out atmosphere. They even sell a few locally made craft goods and have concerts every once in a while. Echo is in a brand new building but manages to pull off a vintage/retro vibe thanks to the smart décor. It’s just a nice place to relax. I believe I’ve visited only twice — the first was on opening day a couple years ago and the second was last week. My most recent visit confirms I need to get here much more often. Next time I’m working in or around downtown, I plan on squatting here for a good long while.

This is my go-to coffee house in Omaha. I love the espresso from this place. I also recommend some of their summer teas and their Italian soda’s.

Echo coffee is fantastic. I love everything about this coffee shop/café. The shot of espresso I ordered was perfect, very rich and good potency. The looks of the building give off a very homey, yet artsy vibe. The décor was very original and attractive. I also ordered the«P.L.T.» Prosciutto, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. It was amazing. The portion size was perfect. Not too much, not too little. Extremely satisfying. They had awesome music playing on a big tv screen, quiet enough for me to listen & also enjoy one of their decent sized selection of books. Over all I give this place 5 stars. Great atmosphere, great coffee, great food, and for a reasonable price! I’m definitely going back!

I enjoyed tea with a friend at Echo today. I LOVE that they have rice milk, unlike so many other coffee/tea shops. I can’t do dairy and soy is not an option, so it was a pleasant treat to have my chai tea latte made with rice milk. Looking forward to future visits. The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect, whether visiting with a friend or working on a laptop.

This place has the best coffee in Omaha, not to mention they also have the nicest Café art! I always get the Vanilla Latte and Mocha. Sooo good! And its served in a mug, which tastes way better than a to-go cup, but to-go cups are available if you wanted it. There’s also a piano! Which you should definitely play, so I can have some nice background music to study to when I go there. =) Free Wifi. Also, they have the best spinach scone. There’s also waffles and ice cream if you feel like eating a light snack, but I have yet to try that. If only they had better board games available to play, I would come here more often just to have coffee and play board games.

Just stopped in Echo for the first time. The staff are very educated about coffee and extremely friendly, so don’t hesitate to ask for more info about the delicious(and unique) options on their menu. If you like traditional espresso drinks(some with modern twists) this place is for you. They roast their own fair trade organic coffee beans here, and I enjoyed the strength and richness of their espresso roast greatly. It’s also vegan friendly, offering soy and almond milk options. The shop has a very fresh and open yet comfy vibe. It’s basically every vintage-chic DIYers wet dream. Definitely a gem worth visiting, if you’re brave enough to venture past your time-tested old market and midtown coffee shop arenas. I personally can’t wait to become a regular here and leave behind the stereotypical scenes/crowds of some of the other Omaha coffee shops. Definitely recommend – Echo will not disappoint!

The contemporary design of the building itself makes me feel like I’ve been transported back to Austin, and I’ve always had this thing with nostalgia. Inside, the atmosphere is just as welcoming. Justin and his employees have always been friendly, engaging in conversation and making a point to go out of their way to serve me, especially with the latte art! Chai charger and salmon bagel!

I love this place! They do latte art, espcially if Justin is working, and it is such a treat to have it brought ot to you and discover a mini masterpiece. If you come here just for that please do mention it, as it’s not done 100% of the time, more of on a whim or when things aren’t busy. I do have to disclose that this is not a coffee place where you can rush in get your order and leave within 5 min. If that’s what you are looking, save yourself some frustration and go to starbucks.

I had a really great 30 minute experience here this morning. Beautiful latte, friendly coffee guy, NPR radio on the television, soothing teal chairs that weren’t too offending to my un-caffeinated eyes. And a very special latte — which I had to unfortunately suck down way too quickly so I could make it to my morning meeting on time. Very likely I’ll be going out of my way to get here again ASAP for an extended caffeine adventure. FYI — the door — as it says, slides.

Very cute, independent neighborhood coffee shop just a little outside of the Old Market on 10th street. My husband and I visited because we had heard about it even though we moved out of Omaha a while ago. I ordered a salted caramel macchiato, which was perfect… espresso shot sandwiched by two layers of salty, delicious caramel. He ordered the spiced hot cocoa, and said it wasn’t sweet but in a good way. Dog friendly and hipster-vintage vibe. They had Andrew Bird iTunes radio going and it was fun to sit and chat here for an hour! Omaha is lucky to have this place and I’ll be back next time I visit.

Just a bit outside of downtown Omaha sits the fairly new Echo Coffee. I recently had the pleasure of spending a morning working here and what a pleasure it was. Mainly for two reasons: 1. French Press Coffee where they give you the whole shebang — timer, French Press, mug, little creamer jar — and let you go to town. 2. A most delicious scone with cheddar cheese and bacon. Wi-Fi is free, service is friendly, prices are affordable. Yep, I am a fan.
