Food was yummy, but service was horrible. Our server, was rude, and it took Him over an hour to figure out/fix our bills. When paying as much as you do for a meal, our expectations are to have excellent service, plain and simple. This was definitely not the case tonight… disappointed.

This was my family’s first time in Omaha, and they felt like Italian food. We wanted to eat somewhere new. The service was great. The atmosphere was nice, but it was not well-ventilated. It got very hot, and we were sweating in our seats. The soups and salads were well-sized and tasted nice. We were very disappointed in the entrees. The sausage and pepper pasta wasn’t spicy in any way, and the marinara had no taste. The cannelloni was absolutely HUGE. It was also very hard to get into. It did have peas, which was unusual, and the pink sauce was also tasteless. The chunky bolognese sauce was very peppery, and all of the meat had big chunks of cartilage in it. That was something we were very unaccustomed to. The ravioli came with different sauces, and the white sauce was very blah. We think they used all of their garlic seasoning in their bread as opposed to any of their sauces. I most likely would not go back, unless I only went for soups.

Wonderful little place we found while driving around. Great veggie pizza that we shared along with the mussels in white wine. Tiny mussels were perfectly cooked. Then s chocolate cream filled cannoli to top off the evening. Friendly efficient staff, a great patio and an unforgettable meal. Sorry we don’t live here as we would be back.

I was here with a party of 4 on a Saturday night and and a heads up; it is busy. I recommend calling ahead for a reservation. I ordered the Faroe Island Salmon with a small bowl of minestrone. The minestrone was flavorful and spicy. The salmon was cooked just right and delicious. They were out of the popular trout dish, so my wife went with the Chicken Saltimbocca; it was moist and just the right amount of seasoning. The dinner rolls were served in a basket along with a garlic butter. If you like garlic, you will love it! Enzo’s has an outstanding wine list to pair with your dinner. It took a while to get our dinner but it was worth the wait. Enzo himself even came by to check on our table. You don’t see that these days; it means he cares about his customers. Classy! I will be back.

Been hearing quite a few good things about Enzo“s in Florence and stopped in for an early lunch. Greeted promptly upon entering. Not an overly large restaurant. Maybe 15 or so tables. Looks like it can get crowded quickly. Decided to sit at the bar. Bar only has four seats and there is a large screen TV behind it. The space behind the bar area is busy because the pizza oven is immediately adjacent and the waiters have to come out of the kitchen the same way. I am sure it can get very hectic. Menu had quite a few good looking items so I asked my waiter for a recommendation. He said to try the Meatball Burger with roasted peppers, caramelized onions and cheese. I did and got the pasta salad as my side. Meatball Burger was good sized and fairly tasty. Thought the pasta salad was quite good as well. Overall price with drink for my lunch was $ 11.25. I also appreciate that Enzo’s participates in «TAGG» Together a Greater Good. Enzo’s will donate 5% of your meal total to a non-profit of your choice. If you are interested in participating; download the TAGG App from the Apple Store.

From the casual upscale décor, to the friendly staff, to the amazing food, I loved Enzo’s from start to finish. The easily accessible Florence location was just the place to go for an Italian meal for one(me) who isn’t the biggest fan of Italian food. I ended up going with the oysters Rockefeller, the lasagna AND the risotto of the day. The waiter kindly pointed out that the risotto was also a main dish but I have never shied away from a meal that I wanted nor the leftovers that came with them. ALL of the dishes were perfectly prepared, the staff was amazing and the chef made a brief appearance to tell me to keep my phone out and take more pictures. Of course, I couldn’t finish but I made a good a dent and then gave an «of course» to the dessert offering. The cheesecake had an interesting and creative crust and was made to our liking. All around, a MUST try in my opinion and can’t wait to go back!

Definitely a find Italian restaurant. I never tried eggplant before this place and it was absolutely delicious. I will have the veal parmesan and it was nothing short of Awesome. The wait staff was really knowledgeable about their menu and where they get their fresh ingredients from. The décor makes you feel like you’re at a classic Italian Villa. This place really gives Lo Sole Mio’s a run for their money.

I’ve been to Enzo’s twice. This review is for the most recent visit. We had a reservation at 7pm and were shown to our table immediately. That’s always a plus. You don’t want to show up to this place on a Friday or Saturday night without a reservation, unless standing in the doorway waiting is your idea of a good time. The tables are scrunched in as tightly as possible. I can’t blame a busy restaurant for wanting to make the most of their space, but this was pretty bad. My husband was a lot closer to the guy sitting at the bar behind him than he was to me. There were about four inches between the table behind me and my seat, so they had to move all the tables behind me back a bit when that party showed up. I saw the problem as soon as I was seated, so this should have been dealt when they were setting up for the evening’s service. I heard those patrons mention how«cozy» the seating arrangements were. The noise level was pretty unbearable. Think a lot of murmuring voices, but you can’t hear what anyone is saying, including your dining partner. The food was OK. Stewart really liked his trout, which was lucky, since they had already run out of the sea bass special he originally tried to order. This was at 7:20. The eggplant parm that I ordered was mediocre. The highlights for me were the minestrone soup(excellent), potatoes, green beans and Moscow mule. The prices are reasonable. The service was spotty. We waited over 20 mins between getting our check and the person coming back to run the card. I left to get some air while Stewart waited for the bill. On the way out I heard the hostess tell a couple that a table was just finishing. Well, we had finished over 30 mins ago at that point, while many people were waiting to be seated. Overall, I’ll give it another try, but not on the weekend.

WOWTHISPLACEISAMAZING! Chicken pacattia with green beans & roasted reds was absolutely the best in town. The chicken parm was equally as excellent. 5 cheese pizza w pepperoni was delicious. Angel hair pasta w meat balls & marinara sauce was sooo good too. Mazzeralla nuggets were made from scratch. Like everything from this joint. Garlic bread is the best I’ve tasted in years. The Italian dressing for the salad is definitely a homerun. The staff was chosen wisely. Everybody ran together never missing a beat. I’ve always said negative things about the places. That just plain are terrible or screwed everything up. Not this place. It’s about time North Omaha got a great place. To hang out or meet friends. All the portions were larger than normal. I would give them 5+ s but… My only 2 complaints are No toasted raviolis And everything was so good. I’m craving more lol I’M DEFINITELYGOINGBACK Trust me when I say YOU’LLNEVERFINDBETTERITALIANFOOD YOUWON’T BESORRY! Thank you ENZO&STAFFFORBRINGINGQUALITYTONORTHOMAHA

We’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now, and finally made the time for it. Luckily it was late on a week night so we got to park right in front. I had the Seafood Mac and cheese with the beer cheese potato soup My wife had the Veal picatta with the house salad. They started using off with bread with some kind of orange spread to go on it. The bread had a nice texture and taste, and so did the spread. Not too sweet. My soup included bacon and some kind of beans. Neither of which I like. I was able to scoop the bacon off the top, but the beans were mixed in. Luckily they didn’t have much flavor, so they were just an unwanted texture in an otherwise excellent soup. The house salad was ok, but a little bland. Needed a little salt added to make it enjoyable. The Veal and potatoes were excellent once the pile of capers were scraped off. Never seen so many on a plate before. The chef must have had an accident. The staff were excellent. Everyone we came in contact with from the hostess to the owner were friendly, helpful and engaging. The place was about 2⁄3rd shift full, but louder than was enjoyable. Some acoustic dampening would be nice. All in all a nice experience and we will back again.

First timer… three of us stopped by for lunch. Overall… just ok. First Enzo’s is located on the west side of 30th street in northern Florence. Atmosphere: Looks like the completely renovated the place. You have to walk through a gate into a patio to get to door. Wasn’t clearly marked but some people walked in ahead and knew the route. Inside, nicely redone… smaller than I had guessed but that is a good thing. Service: Service was a bit of an issue. The server stopped by, we ordered two apps and 3 lunches. Apps arrived but only had 2 app plates. Had to flag waiter down to get the extra plate. Minor… but I am not done. Orders come out for lunch and they had gotten 2 out of the 3 orders wrong. Since this was a first time for all of us, we just rode it out and tried what they brought. lol Food: Ok, we had the calamari and garlic toast for apps. The calamari was undercooked and bit skimpy and garlic toast tasty. Then we had the Chicken and Veal Parmesan sandwich and the meatball burger. All were tasty but seemed small and a bit skimpy again. Fries accompanied the sandwiches and seemed undercooked also. I am guessing the fryer was not hot enough for whatever reason for the fries and calamari. Price: $ 50 for three lunches and two apps and one drink. I thought that reasonable and not an issue. Overall, just ok. Not sure why I drive up to Florence to eat here unless I was in the neighborhood. I know this is my first experience and I will definitely give them another try… just not anytime soon.

Finally. A great Italian restaurant in Omaha!!! I was so excited to try this place out, and it did not disappoint! Went with a group of 5 on a weekday. They were busy for a weekday I thought, but we were seated immediately and offered water and drinks immediately.(We did have reservations). The restaurant was smaller than I pictured, but did not feel cramped. We started off with the garlic cheese bread and marinara dipping sauced. Wow… it was so delicious. It had provolone and gorgonzola cheeses on rosemary focaccia bread. Every drop was eaten! For my entrée I ordered the lasagna. I had no intention of ordering this because I prefer lasagna that is not LOADED with meat, and also is saucy. Seems hard to find in Omaha. For some reason I decided to try it, and am so glad that I did! It was everything I wanted in lasagna. Just enough seasoned beef, parmigiana and mozzarella cheeses, then covered with marinara and four cheese alfredo sauce. It was so perfect! The flavors melted together. Everyone at our table ordered something different and everyone really enjoyed their meal. The service was perfect as well! I can’t wait to go again. Their patio looks like it would be nice to dine on when the weather starts to warm up. It won’t be long before I’m back!

The kinks have been worked out, and I am updating my review to a solid 4 stars. Definitely happy to have a very solid Italian place in Florence! Yet another new restaurant in Florence, which is exciting! We have tried this place out three times, twice dining in, and the other for take out. The entrees are the star here, and have been better each time. For appetizers we have had the calamari, and it has been okay, pretty standard fare. For entrees, I have tried the Chicken Parmigiana, Bolognese, and the Canneloni. My wife has had the Carbonara and my daughter the pizza. All have been very good, and Bolognese was a stand out in my opinion. The pasta is fresh along with the sauces and you can tell! Overall the service has been friendly, but they are still working out some kinks, keeping me from a 4+ star review… for now. Little things like waiting until we are done with our appetizers before bringing out soup and salads, and being a little more timely on checking in for drink refills. Realistically I am being a bit picky here as it is a great new restaurant in Florence and has been packed every time I have been here. I just think they can get better(and probably will) to be truly outstanding. Stop in and try them out. Nice fresh Italian!

Enjoyable dinner at Enzo’s Italian. First visit for Trish and me. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Cocktails tasty and reasonably priced. Trish had a Moscow Mule and I had a Tanqueray martini. We had Eggplant Rollatini as an appetizer and it was closer in size to a main dish than an appetizer. Excellent. Dinner rolls were OK, but I would have preferred plain butter to the flavored butter concoction provided. Trish had the tomato basil soup which was very good if a bit salty. My side Caesar salad was good but not memorable. Our main complaint was one of timing. The main dishes were served when we were still only halfway through our soup/salad course. We weren’t dawdling, either. It would have been nice to finish our soup/salad and take a deep breath before the main course. Trish had baked ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta cheese. I think of raviolis as small but these were very good sized. I had trout in seasoned bread crumbs with potatoes on the side. Both main dishes were very good. No room for dessert, and we took three separate boxes of leftovers home. Bottom line, a nice restaurant and nice meal. Potentially a favorite if the timing issue can be resolved.

I’ve been here several times, and love it! I’m not an Italian aficionado, so I cannot speak with authority about authenticity. But I will say that I have loved every single bite of anything I’ve ordered here. And the prices are VERY reasonable. I’m glad Enzo’s is in Florence!

I was very excited to try this place because I’ve had chef Enzo’s cooking before and wanted try try his recipes here. We had no problem parking and made our way inside walking through a very nice patio area. We were greeted immediately and offered a table literally three feet from the doorway. I asked for another table(which I’ve honestly never done before) and we were seated by a very nice fireplace. I spotted the waitress whose area we had been placed in, literally throw a little fit. I’m guessing she didn’t want anymore tables that night. That’s my reason for not giving five stars. We promptly ordered dinner and drinks. My soup arrived quickly and was phenomenal! Tomato basil with an awesome ciabatta roll! Also the entrée(veal parmigiana) was timed perfect at it arrival just as we finished first course. Our meals were wonderfully tasteful, perfect portioned and presented nicely. It’s worth a try for a night out! I will be definitely going back to try lunch and hoping for better service!

A friend & I met at Enzo’s yesterday for lunch. Bottom line: We will both be going back — soon, and often! I had the Chicken Panini. $ 9 for the entire entrée, and it was outstanding! Their«appetizer bread» is absolutely incredible. I could eat myself sick on that stuff — it’s that good. Unbelievable for the price! I’ll say it again. I’m going back!

The food was OK, but there are problems. First, there are no signs at the entrance. At least from the street. We parked right in front and had to look around. The patio gate was closed and the door looked like a side entrance. We looked around the back and didn’t see any other way in, so we went through the gate and tried the door in the front. It was the right one. A nice large sign that marks the entrance would be helpful. The bathroom signs are very small and as it is so dark in the dining area, very hard to see. I about went into the women’s. Kind of embarrassing. The whole wait staff seemed to be experienced. I recognized a couple of the girls right off. But the one we had wasn’t very good. I asked if she was related to the owner and they said no. I swear that would be the only reason she would still be there after the bad job she did with us. All in all, I’ll be back and hope to get a better server. It’s always nice to have options other than the Alpine in NO.

Enzo Zurlo’s new restaurant opened today in the former Huckleberry’s in Florence, featuring a 2000 lb. Wood Burning Brick Pizza Oven, and serving Homemade Pastas, Chicken & Beef Dishes, and Fresh Seafood. Because of Enzo’s pride in that oven I had to try hard not to be tempted in having pizza as my first meal here, but after looking at the menu that was not too difficult(even though we were given the Lunch menu by mistake at first). We decided to start with appetizers, which fortunately my friend picked the fried calamari as his choice, so I could chose between the Oysters Rockefeller(which I haven’t had here in Omaha) or what I finally had to try, the Beef Carpaccio. First off, the presentation was exquisite, the seasoning was first class, and the carpaccio better than I have ever had, plus they had just the right amount of bread to make this a most enjoyable appetizer. I had to try hard to figure out all the elements to this dish, but the horseradish caper, cheese infused olive oil, and the shaved parmigiana were blended and presented in a manner I have not seen in town. My friends calamari was not either overly fried or too rubbery like you might find, but the breaded seasoning and the two dips it came with were well worth a try. I did not sample his wife’s crab cakes, but from what I heard they also were a hit. Since I did not succumb to the pizza, I ended up ordering the Chicken Dana, seasoned mixed pepper, onions, mushrooms in a wine sauce. There was more to that in this dish which made me wonder who Enzo’s saucier was(I later heard somebody did not show up and a Enzo ended up with this added job). The chicken was nice and tender and seemed to absorb this well. The potatoes were a great addition, I think all of our plates had these small sides, with broccoli that was the only miss, being just overdone to the point of being mushy. My friend had the trout, which he inhaled, which was lightly breaded and a white wine sauce just teasing you. His wife ordered the Chicken Picatta, and that was the last we heard of her… One negative about the experience was the heat in the dining area, which I was guessing came due largely by the pizza oven next to the bar, or maybe a lack of foresight of a large gathering on a hot day not knowing how that oven would affect the space. But that small bar area looked appealing, where the pastries and coffee used to be, with a decent wine selection, but the beer selection was really lacking. The décor was about the same as Huckleberry’s but with a added large guest table now near the entrance, I am sure Enzo has found a recipe for success in Florence for years to come.
