Delicious food, fast service, and relatively inexpensive. It’s right in the middle of downtown and pretty easy to get to. The butter & garlic naan both tasted great and were very fresh. The chicken and vegetable dishes we had were really good and the rice was perfectly prepared. Would highly recommend to anyone in Omaha.

Good, inexpensive, and fast place for lunch that will satisfy your craving for Indian. The food is usually very good but occasionally they’ll have an off day and run out of the staples(naan, chicken tikka masala). I love their chutneys, Chana masala, and tikka masala. It’s a buffet which is nice because you can sample an array of dishes, but I never like to eat a big lunch because it can slow me down in the afternoon. It is nice for if you’re starving or maybe on a Friday. You eat for free on your birthday! And try to avoid going right at noon to beat the rush.

My daughter and I ate here last night. It was only the second time we’ve dined here. We kept asking why is it that we don’t come here more often. Flavors has to be one of the top restaurants in Omaha. Their menu will suit everyone from carnivore to vegan. The staff is always accommodating and I believe the prices are fair. Omaha is blessed to have this restaurant.

The name says it all. This is the best Indian in Omaha hands down and my favorite compared to countless places tried across the country. A staple.

Went for the very reasonably priced($ 9.99!!), AYCE lunch buffet. Buffets can be a bit dodgy sometimes, but Flavors has enough of a crowd turnover that the food is hot and fresh. It’s also a nice way to try out more items than just sticking to a usual staple. Some of the heat levels might be a little strong for some people, but with the wide selection of yogurt-based sauces, you can easily modify the heat level of any particular item or try adding that spicy chicken to the lettuce on the line. All in all, the lunch buffet is a really good deal for downtown Omaha.

Flavors has changed hands and undergone a renovation since I last dined there in 2012. The result is a nicer looking dining space, and a more put together lunch buffet. Also, alcohol is now offered there as well. The menu and the lunch buffet are roughly the same as I remember, except instead of $ 8 for the lunch buffet, it is $ 12. For lunch, your only option is to eat the buffet. Unfortunately for small eaters or someone who might have come and already eaten so you are looking for something small or just dessert, you cannot order something like an appetizer during the lunch hours. That’s disappointing to me. Also, the price increase is a little steep for me. They do have a nice variety of foods(~10 choices) and all were fresh(not dried up or old tasting) but I am not a big enough eater to make the $ 12 price tag worth while. I got one plate of food which I feel should have costed $ 6 – 8 somewhere else. This is precisely why I would like ordering from the main menu as an option. I think for dinner they still are good, but the prices here are steeper than competitors in Omaha. This is a good place near my house to frequent, but I would not make a special trip from the other side of town to eat here. Overall, I would give them 4 stars for dinner, and 3 for lunch. If the prices were to decline, I would be a lot happier.

Decent Indian food in buffet setting(lunch). What stands out is their tomato soup(good enough for seconds) and the dosa, which is likely one of the best made we’ve had. It’s not often available in a buffet, and at least in NYC, they charge over $ 10 for one. So this makes Flavors a definite visit if you’re into dosas(no coconut chutney or sambar though)

This place is always pretty quite but had great food. I am a fan of the chicken tikka korma and the chai tea.

I decided to give these guys a try again and I am pleasantly surprised. They let me order off the menu for lunch and that is great because I just do not like any buffets. The Chicken Tikka Masala was flavorful and the Garlic Naan was yummy, these guys are close to my work so they are conveniently close. Maybe they got a new chef, I’m not sure but I like it much better now and will return in the future.

Business took me to Omaha on a particularly cold and snowy night, so I was craving Indian food. Omaha has some very good restaurants, but I confess to being(pleasantly) surprised to find really good Indian food there. I enjoyed the Chicken Tikka for dinner and asked for it to be prepared ‘medium hot’. The spice level was perfect — hot enough to be recognized as authentic Indian cuisine, but not over the top. The sauce was very good — thick and robust without being greasy. The chicken itself was slightly dry and overcooked, but not terribly so. The Basmati rice was absolutely perfect; long grain, moist, just enough flavor to properly accompany the chicken without upstaging it. I also ordered a side of aloo paratha which was flawless. The service was polite and attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance could use a little attention. The beer cooler is in the dining area and is just a clear standup cooler like what you’d find in a convenience store — a little off putting. The décor is also lacking — a mix of inexpensive Indian kitsch with what looks like a leftover, exceedingly large floral painting that doesn’t go with anything. The carpet was clean, but worn and threadbare where it goes up a small incline towards the buffet area(which was closed during my dinner visit). Overall, Flavors is a pleasant dining experience that I highly recommend. I’ll definitely be back during my next trip to Omaha.

A group of co-workers tried this place out recently for lunch. Located downtown, the interior is pretty basic, but clean. The service really shined here. Very welcoming and friendly as soon as you walk in the door, and quick to keep your drinks filled. Lunch is served up buffet style, so simply get in line, and choose from a variety of ethnic Indian meals. I won’t attempt to remember the names of the options here, but vegetarian and meat eaters can be accommodated. I sampled a variety of dishes, with everything being hot, fresh and flavorful. Overall a great spot for lunch downtown. Plus, when an Indian restaurant is full of Indian patrons, it’s got to be good.

Usually not a big fan of buffets, but this one I can’t resist. It’s some really good Indian food, great spice level and good selection of many types of meat and choices. If your a fan of Indian or even if your not and want to dip your toe in see what the flavor are, you can’t beat Flavors.

Great local place tucked away downtown. Perfect for a casual dining in experience and very quick when ordering take out. My favorites include the chicken tikka masala and the garlic naan. Portions are very generous.

Went for lunch buffet. Tandoori chicken is top. Chick pea curry very good. Chicken tika was bad with no flavor as was fish curry. I think it may be better when not a buffet but no experience.

This is a wonderful Gem in the downtown area. Stopped in for lunch with some co-workers. They have a fabulous! FABULOUS buffet for lunch. 4 steps into the door we are greeted by a friendly person seating us and directing us to the buffet. Multiple selections of all the types Starting with sauces, rice choices, veggies, vegetarian options, chicken tika, and some desert options. Everything was cooked perfectly with flavor, tenderness and presentation. If you are downtown and love Indian fare you must try this!

I went here for lunch one afternoon out of suggestion from a friend. The place was fairly busy. during lunch they serve buffet style. They had many different dishes to choose from including chicken curry, fish curry, tiki masala, palak paneer, tandoori chicken, a type of pita bread(naan). They ran out of pita bread several times and had a hard time keeping it stocked. If you have a sensitive palette, like me, it may be too spicy. I think if a restaurant is going to do buffet style, it needs to limit the spice to appease to everyone’s liking and offer something on the buffet to spice it up. It would have also been nice for each label to explain what each dish was. I doubt I would return during the lunch just because I would rather order something from the menu and control the temperature. The place looked clean and the staff was friendly.

Best Indian Food in Omaha, seriously! For lunch buffet or dinner, just the best. It took me 3 years to figure this one out. Yes it beats mother india, curri, jaipur, maharaja, paradise biryani pointe, and a few others that have slipped my mind at the moment. The only thing to warn is that the fresh lime soda is more on the salty side than sweet or tart and it comes w/lemon’s not limes. Naan is the freshest to order here, and the only place I have yet to find paneer naan in omaha. They also just started selling some alcohol, including 3 beers from India! Only issue is metered parking m-f until 5pm, but fairly cheap, maybe $ 1 an hour, I think. Also we were pretty full even splitting one entrée and naan for dinner. Go crazy for the lunch buffet!

This place has more variety of dishes during their lunch buffet now. I love the spiciness but some of the dishes have small chunks of cumin in it and I can’t get past that. The staff are quick but not as personable. Where did those other guys go? You know, the friendly ones that knew I wanted saag paneer and brought it out even though it wasn’t on the buffet menu. Anyway, I really enjoy the food, still, but it’s not quite the same. I don’t feel as attached as I used to.

Great food. Great service. Love that there’s Indian food downtown. Yay! There’s a lunch buffet and the dinner is a la carte. Try the mixed grill. Wow, that was amazing. The Dosa is about 2 feet long and the nan is fluffy and perfect during Omaha’s cold days. They currently don’t serve alcohol but apparently that’s coming in 2015.

Family of four for my parents’ anniversary. Fantastic. Some of the best service we’ve ever had in town. Tried several entrees and appetizers. Didn’t care for the fried cauliflower but my mom liked it. Lightly fried chicken appetizer was perfect. I was skeptical because it seemed no matter what we ordered, it all came out looking the same… but it all ended well. Great flavors!
