I agree with most people the burger is nothing special, sweet potatoe fries are good, probably as good as anywhere. I’ll try midtown next.

This place is a joke. Bad food, bad service… I’m not sure how they stay in business. Must be on the coat tails of the mid-town(not affiliated) Goldberg’s II. Burgers are like hockey pucks… nobody on staff actually wants to be there. Don’t waste your time or money.

I’d give a half star if it was available. Ordered the Blue Burger. The blue cheese is actually some kind of a runny sauce slopped on the burger. Not even real blue cheese crumbles! Also, the burger was over cooked and dry. And, any burger joint that doesn’t butter and brown the inside of the bun on the grill, well, just has no clue to on the makings of a great burger. This bun seemed to be a few days old. It’s sad to say, but any number of the new chain burger joints blow this place away — smash burger, 5 guys, etc.

While visiting Omaha this weekend and looking for a good burger, my wife and i went to Goldbergs. What a mistake that was! I had a regular cheeseburger and my wife had a specialty«Husker» burger with grilled onion. Both burgers obviously had been prepared much earlier and heated in the microwave. They were very hot, not from a grill, but through and through(obviously nuked). The burgers, although substantial, were gray in color, and tough, with an obvious re-heated flavor. The burger made me think of the mass burgers sold in concessions at professional sports stadiums, yuck! For a restaurant priding themselves on their burgers… at least a fresh grilled burger should be offered.

Pros: None Cons: Everything Skips this Burger King knock off. Go to Goldbergs II in Midtown.

Do not ever eat here and expect anything near the ‘real’ Goldberg’s II downtown. My burger was basically burger king, but with a hy-vee brand bun and the fries might as well have been ore-ida. It’s a sham to give this place the Goldberg’s name.

Seriously, I don’t know how they did it, but they managed to make the food at this place totally suck compared to the 50th& Dodge location, which has GREAT food.
