I used to order from them quite a lot. Last time, however, it took far longer than usual, and it looked as though my order had been dropped — the lid to my soup was cracked and broken, and there were bits of plastic in the soup. I actually had to pour it out of the container into a bowl and spoon out the broken plastic. I mean that’s like a lawsuit waiting to happen. They also didn’t include any soy sauce, and the main meal was leaking and dripping all over the inside of the bag, so when I took it out it got all over my hands, the table and the floor. Used to be a loyal diner and ordered takeout a lot from here, but never again. I’m sorry I tipped.

Favorite place in Omaha since I was super young! Nothing compares. Favorite Chinese out of anywhere I have lived actually, and love the owners.

Terrible service! Waited 45 minutes to receive shorted order. Delivery driver called the order taker who argued with me instead of taking an opportunity to make me a fan by u ruling customer service practices and making it right! Then, after posting a review on FB, they admonished me for their mistake. They lost business from a family of 5 at $ 60+ per ticket for doing nothing but talking to me like I didn’t know what I ordered when I repeated it 3 times. Food was also cold, no soy sauce, no crab Rangoon that was supposed to come with it, no napkins… just a whole lot of bad attitude all over a missing container of sesame chicken that I very politely pointed out was missing. Given the size of the restaurant industry in this city and the choices of where to spend money, I hope they change their demeanor because that is a dumb and risky way to treat customers… and I’ve been ordering there for 10 years!!! Never again.

The food at this establishment is sub par, possibly subterranean. Tried5 times in the past 2 months, always consistent, bad. It is always ready in just a couple of minutes. That should tell you something. They are so nice, so sad. If you get the fried rice the shrimp will be so overcooked. The sweet and sour shrimp taste ok, the sauce is poor. The mongolian beef is good, lots of onions. Really high in sodium, my legs swell up. They dont at oriental garden, pf Changs, or house of 8 imortals.

This is one of our go to Chinese take out places. I like the shrimp fried rice and the wanton soup. The price is reasonable and the food is pretty consistant for a take out place.

i’ve officially eaten here waaaaay to many times honestly i couldn’t even tell you the exact number, my waist line could definitely give you an estimate though: /i personally love the crab rangoons, the sweet and sour sauce and of course the chicken fried rice. there egg rolls are superb and so is the snow white chicken and vegetables. i also really enjoy carry out, i order ten to fifteen minutes before i leave work and its ready by the time i get there. Perfect for those sit on the couch nights with hubby and watch reruns of Three’s Company, and of course episodes of his now favorite late night drama The Good Wife. i give four stars instead of eight because the chicken was over cooked a tad bit one or two times. But still a great place to get your Amercan-Chinese fix.

What a friendly place. As soon as you walk in the door you get the feeling it is a family business. Great service and very small town feeling. I have eaten here twice now and did enjoy the food but found it nothing spectacular. the reason for only the 3 is the quality and tenderness of the meat was lacking. I did not have a lot of spice to any of my dishes. I really really wanted to like this place more. I would go back!

We ordered delivery. While the time frame was OK, the food was just blah. The vegetable fried rice was overloaded with undercooked onions, green peppers and mushrooms. Very few carrots and no water chestnuts or bamboo shoots. 2 pieces of broccoli was all that was there. The trio dinner with shrimp, chicken, and beef included 3 small pieces of each meat course. The egg roll was placed in the same bag as the crab rangoon. All in all, I was not impressed with portion, flavor, and presentation. We will not use them ever again.

Some of the worst Chinese I have had in town. I’m really disappointed because they are super close to my new apartment and the delivery man was so nice. The fried wontons were rock hard. They were probably left on too long or reheated. The crab rangoon was ok. Everything else tasted like it has CLEANINGCHEMICALS in it. I wish I was kidding. I want my money back so badly. CLEANINGCHEMICALS. The best Chinese food in the Omaha Metro is at Sechwan Sunrise in Bellevue. Hands down. I’ve probably eaten at nearly a dozen in the area and that’s the best. I always go back there. Obviously it’s too far if you live in Omaha.

I’ve eaten from here twice this week(take-out), so it’s time to pen my review… While the restaurant has a cute décor, the first evening I visited… no people were sitting inside having dinner… thats odd… but tonight there were two couples at one table. Both times here the take-out was really hustling. I have tried the pan fried dumplings and the fried wontons. Be prepared for a 20-minute wait for those made to order dumplings. They were okay but the wrappers were too thick for my liking. The fried wontons were a complete surprise. While they were tasty, their wrappers were so thick that I ended up breaking the shell apart just to enjoy the centers… I won’t order those again. I had the chop suey twice… chicken and then pork. Both were perfect. This entrée comes with rice, so I have tried the steamed white rice and the regular fried rice. Go with the fried rice, it was a nice complement to the chop suey. I also also have tried their soups, hot & sour soup plus their egg drop soup. Both were very good!!! This is a family operated small business… they are your friends and neighbors. Show your support, you will be pleasantly surprised!!!

My daughter was staying at the hospital across the street, so we were looking for something close. I could see the place out the window, so we thought we’d give it a shot with a take out order. Ordering was easy enough, the lady who answered the phone did not have a thick accent and was easy enough to understand, which can be a problem at some Chinese places. I ordered the pepper beef, my wife had almond chicken, and we thought we’d get four egg rolls as another review mentioned them being the thin wrappers. Well, we ordered te chicken egg rolls, which had the thicker wrapper, and were about the size of 1.5 D batteries. We ordered the lunch size portions of each meal, which I’m not sure if it is always possible, but we ordered at about 5:30 pm. The lunch size came with two scoops of rice, and a foot amount of entrée, and then a crab Rangoon on top. My pepper beef had almost a smoky sweet flavor and the beef was tender and veggies crisp. My wife said her almond chicken was good. All in all, just an average Chinese place, nothing special, but good enough to get the job done. We paid about $ 21 for our dinner.

Over 2 years after my first review and this is still my favorite close to home place to grab some Chinese food. What can I say about this place? Consistency, consistency, consistency! The food here is always good and always fresh. This place makes, hands down, the best crab ragoon I have ever eaten. No matter what time I come here the food is always fresh and hot. The employees here are always friendly and the service prompt. And, they’re open til 9:30 every night even on Sunday. Give this place a shot!

My favorite Chinese place in town. Great price for the money. I’ve almost always gotten take out and the order has ALWAYS been exact. I got the lunch portion during dinner time once and it was pretty cheap but not enough for next-day leftovers. Stick with the dinner portion. You’ll be glad you did at lunch time tomorrow.

Normally I do not like to eat Chinese food in Omaha however I decided to give it a try since my friends decided to come here. I was pleasantly surprised! The key thing about this place is consistency and quality of their food with an affordable price. So far the below items are what I have tried and order on a regular basis. Crab Rangoon– this is the best crab Rangoon I have tried in my life ! It is so fresh and crispy when it comes out. As you take your first bite you can taste other flavors possibly crab and green onion. The cream cheese filling just melts in your mouth. The red sauce that goes with the crab rangoon also perfectly complements the appetizer. Orange chicken– this orange chicken has a nice flavor to it. It is not overly drenched in sauce although you could probably ask for more sauce if you wanted. I liked that the battered outer layer is crispy with flavor. Beef broccoli– the meat has good flavor and I like the way the broccoli is not overlooked and has some crunch to it. This is the dish I would order when I am craving a beef dish. You cannot go wrong with this classic one unless you do not like broccoli. Szechuan chicken– If you are in the mood for a chicken dish this is one of the more common dishes people order. It is not spicy although maybe you could order it spicy if desired? More on the sweeter side. The chicken has a good texture not dry and I like the variety of veggies it comes with. I request for less bamboo shoots or water chestnuts and more broccoli. Also for all dishes it comes with either steamed rice or fried rice, I would recommend the fried rice! Why not get the fried rice when it costs the same as plain steamed rice? For the soups, both egg drop and sweet and sour soup are both good just depends on what I feel like eating that day. It is the right temperature for me(hot)! Key things I like about this place are that it has no msg in their food and run by a family. I can tell it is quality Chinese fast food and that makes me feel better. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is because it lacks the ambiance but the food quality is excellent!

I used to love this place! judging by the reviews maybe it depends on what time you go here. Ive gone twice in the past month around 2pm. both times were not good — at all! I haven’t been here in years but remembered the sesame chicken being awesome. this visit was overly breaded and too heavily sauced. so i decided to give them another shot today and ordered the Mongolian beef. it again was over sauced and tasted like it had been on a warming rack for hours! –even though i was able to watch the cook make it fresh behind the counter. i don’t know what has happened to golden palace on 84th, I don’t think i will be returning for a 3rd visit.

I like cheap Chinese, so I’m not comparing this to the best Chinese places. This doesn’t even live up to the standard of decent cheap Chinese. I won’t be back.

I’m leaving work late, it’s dark, it’s cold and people are driving like they’ve never seen snow before. What do you do when you’re stressed out and frozen? Eat your feelings with Americanized Chinese carryout, of course! Ordered two eggrolls which were a hit since they used the thin, crispy wrappers instead of those thick, bubbly things. The triple delight with«chef’s special sauce» had a bit of zing and is going on my repeat list. Wish there was more than one shrimp in this beef, chicken and shrimp trio, but I’m not complaining enough to not order this dish again. The beef with garlic sauce was ok, but they’ve got an extensive menu so I’ll be branching out with a different entrée next time. Food was ready super-fast. Service was friendly. Prices were standard. Even though it was after 5 p.m., I ordered the lunch entrees(they gave me the choice), so I went with it. Both entrees came with fried rice(didn’t ask if I wanted steamed) and a crab rangoon. For $ 25 we had enough food for dinner for two that night and leftovers for lunch the next day. Not authentic but definitely«eat your feelings» worthy.

We had dinner there this evening, based on a recommendation of our in-laws. Hailing from Oakland which has some excellent Chinese restaurants, we had low expectations. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. The décor is simple but tasteful. The prices are very low: $ 10 for dinner, including soup or appetizer. We ordered the garlic shrimp which had a good number of pretty large shrimp cooked in a delicate sweet-spicy sauce with greens and Chinese veggies. Yum! We also had the chicken vegetable which included broccoli and carrots. It had a large amount of dark meat chicken pieces cooked in a ginger sauce. There were two soup choices and a choice of fried or steamed rice(no brown rice). Everything tasted fresh, and there was no need for MSG or salt. Don’t confuse this restaurant with two others with similar names.

Yummy and consistent is how I would describe Golden Palace! Upon our recent visit I ordered the Hot and Sour Pork. It is my «go-to» — «no need to look at the menu» favorite item there. It is lightly battered then fried bite size tender pieces of pork with stir fried bits of shredded carrot, mushroom, cabbage, celery and bamboo shoots and all in a dark rich(hints of butter even) lightly sweet and somewhat spicy sauce. Although a little heavy on the soy(perhaps the reason I drink lots of water while there and once home) it’s large serving portion is always enough for dinner and lunch the following day!(and for the affordable $ 8.95 dinner price too!) And let’s not forget the Shrimp Toast! I grin from ear to ear when they bring us our order! Who knew tasty shrimp(with something else perhaps … sauce or marinade maybe?) nestled in white bread, battered, fried and drizzled with sweet/sour sauce was so good! I don’ know how it’s made — I don’t question it — I just know we order it with every visit! And after all of this typing — I am off to the fridge to heat up my leftovers! Yumm!

I feel like this place is the unsong hero of omaha’s chinese food. Three Happiness is good, but this place is better. The best thing here is the peanut butter chicken. crab rangoons are great too. But all americanized chinese food tastes the same? WRONG. Not here. It’s awesome. It’s awesome because it actually tastes fresh. You know how when you pass krispy kreme and the«hot now» sign is on, it’s like that, for chinese food. It really is just a chicken donut, isn’t it? Basically, the atmosphere is nothing. I think this is the main reason no one talks about this place, which is a shame. I like ambiance as much as the next guy, but ultimately it is about the food. I just don’t care if the food is fantastic, which it is.
