Hawk’s Pizza

Hawk’s did a lunch service at my work building a couple weeks back, and I wasn’t sure what to expect, since I hadn’t heard much about them. I was very pleasantly surprised, and really enjoyed my slice (pepperoni). They had a few different options, including your normal pepperoni, sausage, etc., plus a couple of unique slices, like Thai Chicken. The slices are a nice size, the sauce is delicious (but the ratio is not overly saucy), and the crust is just the right thickness. Very friendly service as well. Doesn’t seem like they have a main location/​hours, so it’s probably best to look them up on Facebook and follow them there. Hoping to spot them in Benson sometime soon or at my office building again!

This is the best food truck in Omaha. His homade Thai peanut sauce is the best I ever had. I wish he would bottle it! Today I had the Thai chicken wrap and it was amazing! The owner Brandon made mine without vegetables so I did not have to pick them off. I have also had his cheese pizza made with alfredo sauce, again AMAZING! He uses just the right amount of spice. If you see this truck you have to stop!

Found Hawk’s in the SE parking lot outside of Jerry’s Bar (6301 Military Ave) just north of Infusion Brewing Co. in Benson. Their main attraction is their spent grain pizzas, which I ordered two slices, the first was their Carnivore’s Delight (Beef, Sausage, Pepperoni and Bacon) which came in a very generous slice, and was quite good for a midnight snack. The second I had was their That’s Amore (White sauce, Chicken, Bacon, Green Peppers, and Tomatoes) which was alright, but nothing special. The crusts tended to end up to be more like hard crackers, but I would suspect that is what becomes of spent grain.
