Love this place. I eat here every time I’m in Omaha. All you can eat and cooked fresh on demand. Yum,

Very friendly staff but the grub wasn’t the best. Couldn’t really fit much of the protein or noodles in the bowls. The Black Thai sauce was way too garlic-heavy. They didn’t have certain things available like shrimp, scallops, salmon or halibut which is what I was coming in for. Maybe that’s only for dinner. Anyway $ 11 plus tip for that is too much.

I didn’t want to believe the reviews. Certainly there was some redeeming quality of this establishment that everyone was missing… Alas, there was not. For anyone with food allergies, this is cross-contamination central. Do not eat here. As you’re aware if you’ve read my other reviews, I can’t do gluten. Well… I got glutened. I almost ended up in the hospital, and I was sick for two days straight. The food is not good. The quality of ingredients is not good. None of it is fresh, all of it is frozen, so not only is it crap quality, but it is soggy preparation. There may be some sauces that are gluten-free… I have no idea. I doubt it, though. And even if there were some, all the spoons for the sauces get mixed up, and drops of sauce get in the containers for other sauces. The noodles are right next to other gluten-free ingredients in the bar area, so there’s literally no telling. The food is all cooked on the same large cooking surface and doesn’t appear to be cleaned particularly well between cookings. The cooking oil they use for the stir-frying is crap. My body swelled up like a balloon five minutes after chowing down on my takeout container. Son of a gun. I couldn’t wear pants for days because I couldn’t button them due to being so swollen up. Oh HALE no. Literally, I would not recommend anyone go here, like, ever.

Service is always great and the food is delicious! Lots of sauces and no sketchy meat.

«Oh my God, diarrhea! I’m gonna Unilocal them!» My husband was laughing… he was the one suggested Chinese food tonight, I was like OK, but I’m not gonna keep my expectations so high…(again, I was born and raised in Hangzhou, the city of gourmet cuisines, mainland of China.) Now I understand why they say HuHot gives me poo-hot… First of all, we still tipped 20% for the service — whoever speaks with a good smile and brings me vinegar when I order seafood always deserves a 20% tip, 25% when it’s a celebration. Egg Drop Soup: hot and warms up my stomach~~, less MSG, throw in a bit small tomato chunks will be even better. Sauces are brilliant, the chili power shaker they put on the counter beside the chopsticks is a real spice power-up, me likey!

I have been before to a Mongolian restaurant similar to this one but not this. So, while in NE, I said why not?! I got sat quickly and the waitress was really nice to go and show me how it works. She then tried to sell me additional things, including appetizer, soup, soda, which was annoying after a while. I refused politely and went on to choose my combos. The variety was quite good and most things seemed fresh. The vegetable and meat bar seemed always full. They had 3 types of noodles that were all quite thick. I would have loved to see thin rice noddles but they did not have any. I liked how every sauce had a description and calories per ladle. Although the waitress explained to have 5 ladles of sauce it would have been nice if it was written somewhere to remind me. My first attempt was kind of weak. The cooks were very serious the whole time, would have been nice to see a smile. I wished they would separate the grill more since I had a vegetarian plate and the juices of the meat plates were almost touching my part. In addition they used the same spatula for all foods whether it was fish, meat or vegetarian. Not sure that’s even advised for food safety reasons. All in all though, it came out quite tasty. Wish you did not have to take«all you can eat» and had an option to just take one plate as that was enough for me. For an all you can eat the price is ok but not for a small eater like me. Its a great place for a group of people. I may go back if I’m really hungry :)

Not impressed at all… I guess coming from the west coast my expectations were skewed. Besides the banging of the metal spatulas and the lack luster cheese ragoon because there was no crab meat in them, this place is sufficient if you never had authentic Mongolian BBQ. I miss seeing the big bamboo stick to turn and serve the food adjusting to the small bowl was weird to…

I have had many experiences at HuHot and they have all been just OK. You walk in get assigned a table and go get your meats and veggies(only shrimp one night of the week) pour some sauce on your stuff and hand it to the dude(only ever seen dudes) to cook it up. It’s pretty decent. They give you rice and you pass on the Rangoon(which is hard to do but they gouge for those) and the soft drink(more gouging) and start eating your meal. As you try to block out the obnoxious and insipid songs overhead, you starat eating and think of China Buffet and their Mongolian Grill that tastes better, has shrimp all the time and unlimited Rangoon and tons of other stuff… including ice cream for the same price. You kick yourself for being too lazy to drive the few extra miles and swear never again… again.

Nice restaurant, friendly staff. BBQ ingredients seemed good… I made the monthly special recipe they posted, which turned out nicely. Prices quite high, my bill was over $ 20 for one trip to the buffet, 3 crab rangoons and a diet coke. Good food, not the greatest value.

My first time at Mongolian BBQ and I loved it! Service was good and the place is clean, cool, and trendy. I highly recommend it!

I’m always looking for a Mongolian bbq when I travel they are few and far between. But this does a really good job — better than most. I try to eat it when I’m in town. The key is in the sauce, if you don’t have the proper sauce. I recommend 3 ladles of the ginger sauce. YUM! Do not under sauce. You can’t go wrong if you over sauce your meal! Seriously indulge the saucy goodness.

OK place for lunch. Food is good, atmosphere is good, service is good, but dinner prices are exorbitant for what you get. Anything off the menu is overpriced. Stick to the buffet.

I don’t usually eat a ton of food so Hu Hot is not a good value for me. If you like all-you-can-eat places then this is probably a better option than most places. The food is far from gourmet but it is much better quality than most buffet-style restaurants. The meats are all frozen but the vegetables are generally fresh and if you go enough you can figure out what you like and make a concoction that is fairly tasty. The service has been pretty good every time I have gone. You are better off going during lunch when the prices are lower(even though the food is usually exactly the same).

I took my mom and daughters air to HuHot last night. The staff was attentive and engaging. The place was very busy, and our waitress was swamped, but she did a very good job of keeping my drink full. I would recommend this place to any non-hipsters, and maybe a handful of hipsters(the ones that knew me before I was cool).

Service was good. But the food was blah for the money. Great concept poor execution on their part. If you want all you can eat food then go just don’t expect it to be good enough to want to go back.

Really not worth it at all. For ~$ 13, I could have gotten more selections of a comparable quality at a Chinese buffet at the same price.

My Brother-in-Law suggest this place for Mongolian, of which I am a sucker. My experience was pretty unsatisfying. Location: Excellent. You can’t miss this place, regardless of which direction on 72nd you’re on. Staff: Inattentive. We were a party of 6 and despite several accommodating locations, we were placed right next to the buffet servers. I made it 3 minutes and asked to moved to a slightly(sarcastic for *much*) quieter location about 20 feet away. Taste: Poor. I’m not sure if they watered down the sauces or what, but my food tasted down right plain. The hot sauces weren’t hot. The garlic sauce was dull. There wasn’t a hint of salt in the Soy sauces. As I sat there choking down bite after bite(I was starving and literally hadn’t eaten all day) my ears were assaulted by top 40 tunes, which, at a bar or fast food joint, I would expect… not at a Mongolian Grill. There used to be a pretty awesome place up on 90th that, while plain, tasted fantastic and had the feel of a semi-authentic Mongolian joint. I really miss it. This place was like a bad cross between Panda Express and Applebee’s. If one doesn’t know what to expect, one might enjoy the self-served cooked-in-front-of-you adventure. I know what good Mongolian Grill looks like, and this location is far from it.

Unlike other reviewers, I could not compare this location to how it was before. My initial impression of this location is that they really don’t care about the quality of the service or food. It seems that they just want you to move through the line and out the door as quickly as possible. I would not recommend this HuHot to any of my friends for fear that, after eating there, they would no longer want to be be my friends. This location could really do much better but I think a majority of the problems are due directly to poor management and insufficient quality control. Ways to improve: They could easily rate three stars if they would just get rid of the Top Ramen salad topping and thoroughly clean all of the dishes. They could attain four stars if they cycled the cooking(grill) utensils in such a way that raw beef, seafood, or pork isn’t touched just prior to scooping the finished portions onto plates. Five stars would be achieved easily once the wait staff was trained to be attentive to patrons’ needs and to simply smile.

Horrible food. If you like flavor, this is NOT for you. Nothing spicy, even if you do all heat. Also, no white meat chicken. Horrible food & veggies also looked poor. Cooks also don’t get your food done so beware! Don’t do it!

I love HuHot in general, but this location has since gone down hill on service and cleanliness. I was here tonight for dinner which includes being handed a menu, asked for a beverage, soup, salad, buffet and/or menu item. Upon arrival, I was asked what I would like to drink, never received a menu, and when the waitress finally got around to asking the table whether we wanted soup or salad, we waited for over 20 minutes to receive the soups and salads. Some of us in the group decided to no longer wait, and get up to create our dishes. When I got up to the bars of food, I selected seven bowls from the stack and placed them on the table next to me… why? Because none of them were clean. They had stuck on food in the bottom of them. Considering that these bowls are used for raw and uncooked food gather, I was a little unnerved that there was food stuck to the bowls, meaning whomever was washing dishes was not even taking the time to rinse them. I informed the manager and he was very nice about the whole situation considering I was actually pretty pleasant about notifying him. I just pointed out that I had put the bowls on the empty table becuse they weren’t clean. Other than that, the food itself was good and the veggies and seafood were plentiful. I rated it 3 because this location used to be so much better, but with the delayed service and dirty bowls, I just really couldn’t give them much more.
