Worst food I’ve ever had and the customer service was even worse. I went through the drive thru I wasn’t allowed to finish my order. So when I get to the window I ask if I can order a drink the girl rolls her eyes at me slams the window shut, I still wanted fries. So when she opens the window again I ask for fries and again she slams the window on me. I won’t be back ever again.

Ok but pricey. You can do sit down dining at Greek Islands with much better quality for virtually the same price. I wouldn’t recommend King Kong.

These guys have awesome french fries and great food that is actually decent for a fast food chain. Its worth your cash. king Kong is a local Omaha homestay and puts great care into their cooking. if you live outside Omaha and plan on visiting town I would implore you to stop by and get a euro plate. 10⁄10 would recommend I wish I was bribed for this review but alas I was not. :(

One of my favorite, «I cannot make up my mind what I want for dinner so lets just go to «King Kong» kind of place. Like going here when I am really hungry, because if your not, you wont finish it and waste your money. I don’t think its good re-heated, but then again, I am a picky left overs kind of person so what do I know? I really never get anything but the Gyro and sometimes a Greek Salad, if I happen to go on the day its on special. The Gyro is loaded with meat, onion, tomato and their sauce. I usually have to add salt as the meat is a little bland sometimes, but otherwise its good. Boyfriend orders the single burger which is big on its on, so I don’t know how anyone could eat the double patty or bigger. I never tried the burger so don’t have an opinion. The fries are a waste for me, as I don’t really need them and not worth the money unless you are sharing, they are with the special. or your just hungry enough to eat them too. Sometimes they are good, but I think they have to be really fresh for that to happen. We don’t buy the Kids meals here as they are kind of pricy and my 7 year old would never finish it anyway. The Kids meals burgers are big, from what I heard, and would probably fill a grown adult who may not be so hungry. The staff there is mostly not friendly. Don’t be surprised if they just pass the«your close to being a jerk radar».. Maye they are in the«I rather be somewhere else then work state» or maybe they are always like that, I get the feeling they are just always like that. Not so pricy if you just stick to the«meal item» and avoid the extras. Next time I go back I am sure its going to be one of those«What do you want for dinner», «I don’t care, how about you? «kind of night.

I used to love eating here as a kid, but it seems like over the years the prices have gone up and the food quality has gone down. 2 people ordering food in a drive thru shouldn’t cost over $ 30.

Your typical King Kong experience — which means you go here for a hearty meal, especially if you’re in the mood for burgers and gyros. On my recent visit here, I picked up the sirloin dinner for about $ 10. They also sold me some fries for an additional $ 3, which was unnecessary because the dinner comes with pita bread and Greek salad. The sirloin was good, however, and remains a great deal for a fast food steak dinner. I opted for drive through, and it’s worth noting the fries were soggy by the time I got home. Perhaps King Kong is best experienced fresh when you dine in. Overall a little pricey, but still a great place for a gut-busting meal cooked fresh to order.

Since I’m new international student and just been there for weeks. It’s hard to say more since I’d just tried American food for 1 or 2 times. The steak was very good. You should try it on Wednesday or Sunday, the meal only 9.99 $ with a huge top sirloin and fries. The salad also yum. I will try it again!

I’ve been working in Omaha now for several years, and after watching the commercial for this place over that time period wrote myself a note to finally visit… And it was just Ok. I ordered a Gyro sandwich with no onions… Got it to go so I could go through Airport Security. The sandwich was loaded(as in way too much) special sauce and tomatoes that are way out of season. I scraped off what I could(see image) and wolfed it down. I would go back(read that as glutton for punishment), but next time would try a burger(They looked awesome!) Here’s the rundown: Was I satisfied: No Will I return: Yes Will I tell others: Uh… Maybe

The daily special we got today was a top sirloin which included steak, a salad, and either fries or rices and potatoes for only $ 9.99. This was a great deal, and all of the food was very flavorful and well seasoned. We also got my dad a triple cheeseburger(1.5 lbs!). This didn’t seem worth the cost($ 16.99) but we got it for him anyway. After seeing it, I still don’t believe it was worth the cost. This didn’t even include fries which we had to pay for separately. The fries were very tasty(just as all other reviewers have mentioned). We will probably try this place again but eat inside the restaurant because they give you more food when you eat there.

King Kong is a fast food restaurant that serves a somewhat unusual combination of menu items — Burgers, Phillies, Gyros, Steaks, Salads, and Greek Pastries. They specialize in giant Burgers(King Kong!) that are at least ½ lb per patty, but they’ll stack them up to make double, triple, and even ridiculously humongous 2 lb quadruple burgers. They serve gyros(from a real spit, or Shawarma, or whatever they call that spinning meat cooking machine), and Greek salads that look very good although I haven’t tried one yet. I usually have the ½ lb King Kong burger and I can generally only eat about half of it(it’s the smallest burger but it’s big enough to share with a friend — however you shouldn’t feel forced to share it because the price is very reasonable.) The burgers are very good and they taste like they’re cooked on a «Burger King» type grill with a good charcoal flavor. The fries are coated, probably with some type of batter I think — not my favorite, but I don’t have a strong objection. My only major complaint was that they don’t offer brewed iced tea. I recommend you should definitively check this place out when you have a King Kong sized appetite.

My family and I make stops to king kong about every 4 – 6 weeks. If you are hungry this is the plave to go. There dishes are very large and often times have to take home left-overs. They make good fried and are relatively quick. However, you are not going to King Kong for the qulaity of their hamburgers, steak or Greek food. As there are other Greek establishments that are far and away better than king Kong. The greek salads are big but often times I will get lettuce, feta and olives without any tomatoes or Onions. Remember quantity not quality. The food is OK. There prices have increased over the last few years so the value has declined some. Overall, the food is «just OK, at best» But it it meets a need after spending all day at our kids ball games on our way home when everyone is really hungey and dont want to make something at home.

I’ve been here a few times over the last 6 years. Personally, I think this place is a bit over-hyped, overrated, and overpriced. Gyros are just okay. I think you can get better Gyros at Greek Islands or at John’s Grecian Delight. Honestly, almost all gyros restaurants get their gyros meat from the same company(Kronos) and cook it in the same brand of vertical broiler. So, there really isn’t much difference in the flavor of the meat from one gyro place to another. The only thing that does vary is the texture as some places sear it on a flat top grill before serving it and other places shave it off in advance and that can cause it to dry out a little. So, it’s the pita, tzatziki, and veggies that really define a place’s gyro. Baklava is a bit of a rip-off(you basically get 2 or 3 bites for $ 3). They put it in individual containers for sale, but none of the containers are dated. Also, instead of thin crispy layers of filo it can get soggy and taste doughy(too much moisture building up in the container?). Not good. Burgers are tasty and have a unique flavor(tastes like Worcestershire sauce to me, but my brother insists it’s Greek seasonings). Their standard burger is a large ½ pound patty. Unfortunately, their burgers(when not on special) are close to $ 8 and that doesn’t include fries or a drink. So, a burger, fries, and drink and you’re paying close to $ 12 for a fast food burger meal. No thanks. Hamburger Kids Meal is $ 9. They also serve steaks, but they are rather thin. They look large from the top, but from the side they’re maybe ½ inch in thickness when cooked. Lots of fat and gristle too(but at this price point what kind of beef were you expecting?). I suppose if you’re going to order steak in a fast food restaurant, then this is what you should expect. Some people could care less about the cut or quality of their steak. They’re just giddy to be eating a steak for cheap. So, I suppose this makes those people happy. The restaurant is set-up in so many bad ways. First, the counter is extremely wide, but you have to place and pick-up your order in this narrow area by the register. The concept of taking orders at one end of the counter and picking them up at the opposite end of the counter has not occurred to them. Second, the entrance is right next to the register. So, people lined up to order have to keep stepping out of the way so that people entering the restaurant can get in. Finally, in an effort to accommodate as many patrons as possible they’ve crammed far too many tables and chairs into their dining room. Putting four chairs around a table designed for two people does not make for a comfortable dining experience. I’m not even sure how it passes Fire Marshall inspection. I really cannot think of a good reason to ever eat here. Every time I am here it is because someone I am with insists on coming. Perhaps they will someday learn what good food is and stop dragging me here.

This place is probably one of the better fast food experiences you’ll have in town, albeit it on the slightly pricier side. I would give it a better score if Unilocal was a fast food reviewing website, but alas! Don’t let this stop you from trying this bizarre and awesome Omaha staple. They have such an odd selection there and they are not always on their game with all of it, but it is really close to work and I’ve only been burned a few times out of the countless times I’ve been there so it will always be a regular lunch choice for me given the dearth of worthwhile options in and around Ralston. I would have to say that while their burgers, phillies, steaks and gyros are pretty dang good, I would suggest to try their greek salad sometime(with any meat you’d like or without) and you will be pleasantly surprised. The vinaigrette on there is pretty incredible and you will get some feta, cucumbers, tomatoes and a few pepperoncinis added in there for good measure. Oh! It also comes with a toasted pita bread to dip into the remainder of the vinaigrette! You can also get a 2lb burger there if you so wish, though If I’m going to burgtown, I always go for the smallest(½lb!). The combo of that along with a heaping pile of deliciously crunchy fries usually makes my stomach feel as if it is going to rupture… in a good way… If you dine in, prepare to be confused by the bizarre stuffed gorilla rock band that is set up at the end of the dining room. It is so awesome.

Had the Gyro Combo Meal which is Monday’s Special. Comes with fries and a small drink. Food is good. Gyro and fries were tasty. Fries are nice and crispy with a bit of seasoning. Service is quick. You order and pick up at the counter. There are daily specials to try as well. Only drawback is that the gyro, fries and small drink cost 11 dollars. Thought it was just a bit expensive for what was received with respect to portion size. Quality was good though. Would eat here again.

The ridiculous commercials made us want to try this place and their huge burgers. The inside is odd, with stuffed gorillas all over the place(still not sure how King Kong, burgers, and Greek food all go together). My husband got the King Kong burger(just as huge as advertised) while I got the chicken gyro plate. The chicken was extremely dry and underseasoned, and the burger was ok. The side salad, pasta, and baklava were average. On the other hand, the fries! I would make a return trip just for the fries. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My description can’t do them justice. We did have fun taking silly pictures with the big gorilla statues out front, so there’s that.

The gyro meat was poorly sliced(see picture posted), the tzatziki watery, and the prices outrageous. Next time I’ll stick with the tried and true and go to Grecian Gyros in Papillion, or Legacy Gyros in West O.
