My roommates moved into a 5th floor 2 bed loft in June last year and I moved in with them last October. I’ve had a wonderful experience at L15 from just staying over all the time to actually moving in. Everyone I’ve met is very friendly and always says hi to you in passing. It makes a nice little community where everyone feels safe knowing who their neighbors are. I haven’t had to have too much interaction with management, which I consider a good thing, but the interaction I’ve had has been good. They take the time to decorate the lobby for the seasons, hold special events for residents and over Christmas they put a present wrapping station in the commons room for residents to use at their leisure. Maintenance always does a great job of getting any problems fixed quickly and without any issue. The patio in the front is nice for having friends over in the summer to hangout and enjoy downtown. The only down side is the noise. Honestly, it’s been a very quiet space but the walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors pretty well if they make noise. With the large amount of space we get for the money, the spectacular views and the friendly community I don’t mind the thin walls at all.

This is a review for the GUEST/FAMILY SUITE at the L15 Loft apartments where we just completed a 5-night stay. While I like the idea of staying so close to family members – residents in one of the L14 Flats next door – I’m afraid the downsides of this rental outweigh the upsides. I won’t be staying here again. It’s just too noisy. Every step the neighbors take upstairs is audibly loud and distracting day or night due to old, squeaky floor boards overhead and very little(if any) noise-barrier insulation. Speaking voices and TV sounds from upstairs are loud enough to be distracting as well. Of course this is no one’s fault. It’s just the nature of the animal(100+ year old building). Also, the furnishings are meager. The queen mattress sits on the floor with no bed frame and there is no dresser in the bedroom. The bedroom could use a 2nd bedside lamp and a dresser+mirror. The furnishings that *are* in the apartment are comfortable and in good shape, however. One other thing to be aware of: The bedroom sits in the rear of the apartment and has no windows. Due to being surrounded on 3 sides with interior walls and no window, it tends to be 5 – 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the apartment(a potential issue for those who like it cool at night). On the plus side was the large, flat-screen TV with cable and the beautiful, full kitchen. We missed having wifi but that is generally not a deal breaker for us.

L15 Lofts has been great so far! I moved in 8 months ago and only one complaint: the walls/floors are thin… too thin. The staff is friendly and helpful. If I have any issues, it is taken care of promptly! The neighbors are friendly and polite. It is a great experience living downtown and being able to walk to the bars or restaurants. I recommend living in the L15 Lofts if you do not mind hearing more than expected. The only time is has annoyed me is when I am sleeping in at an odd hour. If you have a day job, then you will be fine living here — or if you are a sound sleeper.
