I, too, have a review for Dr. Michael Young, of the Professional Eye Care office inside this Lenscrafters. In a word: avoid. I have seen him the past two years, and both times have had to have his work corrected. He doesn’t spend much time at all with you in the actual exam — the initial work done by the techs takes longer than he spends trying to help you see clearly. This last time, instead of going to another doctor, I decided to have him re-do his own work. He corrected the work on one eye, and then said he was finished. I asked him if he was going to do the other. He asked me if I ever /used/that eye. I have strabismic amblyopia. I do use both my eyes. This doc has no idea what he’s doing, and doesn’t enjoy the work he does. See someone else who has a clue. THESTORE, however, has some of the most helpful people I’ve come across. I’ve been getting frames at this Lenscrafters the past several years. Much of the staff has been there as long as I’ve been going. They’re always really nice and really helpful. Don’t have a single bad thing to say about any of them.

I agree! The staff at the eye doctor’s here was incredibly rude! Or should I say the little blond receptionist was really rude. Sorry to interrupt your day missy, but I thought you were here to help ME! Maybe they have fired her, but I have since found another eye doctor.

Let me start out by saying, I guess this review should be for the eye doctor portion of Lenscrafters that is located inside of the store. When I entered, there were many staff standing around asking to help me. I told them I had an appointment for a vision exam and would be looking at glasses afterwards. They directed me towards the eye doctor. I had went online several days prior and made an appointment using their online system. I was quite impressed that they had such a system and it saved me a phone call. I told the receptionist I had an appointment. «Name», I told her«you don’t have an appointment.» okay I thought, now what? I had taken time off work and really needed new glasses so I could see. I explained that I had made an appointment thru their internet site. No response from the clerk. okay, «do you have anything available?» «yes, we can see you at 12:30» This was acceptable as it was 12 already and it would give me a chance to look at frames. I give the clerk my insurance card. «We don’t take this»(now, let me say, I had used my insurance there before, I know I should have checked but I didn’t). So I ask her, what’s the process, if I have the exam, then do I turn it in to my insurance and they will refund it? I had no idea as I usually go to places that are covered. In a very snotty and rude manner«I have no idea.» Okay, that’s it, I’m going to Eyemasters(which can I say – was great!!!)
