This was a fun little place to come on a Sunday afternoon. I would love to come back for their brunch that they advertise: I want to say $ 21ish dollars for bottomless mimosas? Everyone in our little party had a glass of wine — obviously a great selection. We also ordered a cheese plate and seafood poutine(see pictured). Seafood poutine was good, a little soggy(maybe I didn’t get to it in time?). The cheese plate was really unique too — I loved the jam and the unique three cheeses they had. I wish they would have had more, though: I felt like they skimped out on what they gave us. What I liked about the menu is that they give a scale of what kind of wines would go with the meals they offer. The only negative is that our server — who may have been doubling as hostess that Sunday afternoon? — was not very knowledgeable on simple questions we were asking her. Like… what kind of cheese had she just served us? :) She was friendly and quick, though! I would be happy to go back with friends again, though!

Only tried an appetizer. Had a few glasses of wine with my wife and sister in law. Very fun, quiet, and relaxing place. Great selection of wine. If you’re out on a date and looking to end it on a good note, this is the place.

It took a long time for me to stop in at Louie’s when it first opened, I had no idea what it was, but when I finally took a chance, it became a favorite. One of us loved the shrimp and grits, and both enjoyed the«tap» wine. Two visits ago, we found out they were undergoing a revamp. How did we find out? By ordering three different items on the menu, only to be told, «We don’t have that anymore.» Checked back last night and found no white wine on tap, no truffle Mac and cheese and no shrimp and grits. Lobster poutine has been«downgraded» to crab poutine. Fish and chips was meh, but the shrimp Diablo got two thumbs up. Service for us was great, but at the table next to us(different server), drinks were slow, appetizers took forever to arrive and did so only after intervention from our server. It will be a while before I visit again, maybe they need to regain their bearings, but if they don’t, I will miss what they used to be.

The casual atmosphere is very comfortable and food will definitely impress! A quality selection of beverages paired quite well with some amazing and delightful appetizers and entrees. Food bliss awaits with the brussels sprouts(yes, brussels sprouts!) with a perfected blend of sweet, salty, and sour caramelization — you will be a fan. Also recommended is the quinoa salad &BLT deviled eggs, which give a new twist on what’s gotten boring in other places. If you order the chicken, be prepared to cut it off the bone, plus it’s half white, half dark meat. It’s tasty, but if you’re an all white meat diner, you’ll need to ask your waiter ahead of time about possible options. Overall, food and beverage quality is very high here; we almost made the mistake of not ordering dessert — the cheesecake(salty caramel) is rave worthy.

Good place for casual dining with friends. The service is decent. It has the potential to be a stand out but i just didnt get that impression on my first visit.

Apparently have new owner and new menu. Menu is drastically smaller than previously and a lot less variety. Definitely disappointed compared to many previous visits. Probably will no longer visit establishment. Unfortunate, because we used to love frequenting this establishment in the past.

First of all, this rating should be 3.5. I went to Louie’s yesterday morning for brunch with two girlfriends. We had made 11:30 reservations but the restaurant was only about half full when we arrived. We were seated promptly, however one of the girls is 8 months pregnant and they sat us at a high top table… I would think a booth or regular table would be more appropriate. Two of us had coffee and the waitress brought the cups out without cream and sugar and left before we could request from. My cup was so full and the table was wobbly so I had a huge spill of coffee all over the table every time the table was bumped. We had to flag down another server to get cream and sugar. My pregnant friend asked if she could get some tea or hot chocolate and the server replied ‘no, we are mainly a wine bar’. I ordered the veggie Benedict, and the girls had shrimp and grits and the blue plate special. Our orders probably only took about ten minutes. The toast with the shrimp and grits was too soggy to eat and my eggs Benedict was just fine, nothing to rave about. At the end of our meal we asked the waitress to split our check and she initially said she couldn’t because two of us ordered coffee(not sure what that had to do with splitting the check but anyway) but then she said she could. It was a bit confusing. I don’t think I would go back unless I was coming back for the bottomless mimosas.

We stopped out on a Saturday evening for a dinner with another couple. The restaurant is nicely designed and love the large chalkboard with the wine lists. This was our first stop out and we usually do not venture this far west. We had a long evening with quite a few rounds of drinks, appetizers and dinner. The service started slow. there were a few times we were looking around with empty wine glasses waiting. The servers were working as fast as they could but you could tell were short staffed for a full room. When it came time for dinner orders the service stepped up and was much more attentive. One of our party loved the gluten free options and was amazed that about the whole menu being a possible gluten free. The Food was fantastic. Devilled eggs were beyond fabulous and a nice new experience from what you normally see. Calamari was great. We pretty much ate family style so we got to sample lots of different items. The crab cakes were one of the best in Omaha. Shrimp and Grits were so so nothing flavorful to right home about. The steak was perfect as well as the pasta. We will for sure return again but may avoid peak hours and cant wait to try the food we missed out on.

I’m giving Louie’s Wine Dive one star because of their horrible customer service. The day after dining at this restaurant, I noticed that my credit card had been overcharged. Immediately, I started calling the restaurant to have the situation resolved. After ATLEAST10 phone calls, the most progress I had made was an employee assuring me that a manager would call me back ASAP. That call never came. When I was finally able to get in contact with a manager who could credit back my money, it was over two weeks since I had dined there. After the manager agreed to refund my money, it was for less than what was owed. The manager scoffed and audibly said, ««Oh my God…» when I asked for the full amount of the overcharged portion to be refunded. I find this to be embarrassing for their management & staff and I refuse to support such incompetence. Buyer beware. For what it’s worth: When I ate there, the food was very good and the service was ‘ok.’

The food at atmosphere was amazing f. We all had pasta and wine. The reason I went with 3 stars is because the server spilled marinara sauce all over me and nothing was comped on our bill and no manager even stopped by to apologize. Really poor service!!! Something should have been comped on our tab for almost ruining my shirt. Food was great but obviously customer service is not very important to them. So sad :(

First time at Louies. Made a reservation online with Open Table, but found out that they weren’t really needed. Space is kind of neat. Tables are very close together with a mish mash of chairs. Large black board hanging on the wall that shows you the specials. Good attentive waitress. Large wine list(60+) to choose from. Menu has a pretty good selection. We started with BLT Deviled Eggs that contains hunks of bacon rolled in with the yolk and arugula and oven roasted tomatoes on top. Very tasty. Wife went with the truffle mac and cheese with steak(not on the online menu) and I had the shrimp and grits(shrimp sautéed with apple wood smoked bacon, organic Iowa grown corn grits and topped with Prairie Breeze Cheddar). Entrée were very good. Dessert was a lemon crumble blueberry cheesecake(also very tasty) with a lemon curd in between layers with the blueberries mixed into the cake. We also tried the beignets — not bad, but less a beignet and more like a funnel cake taste. Louie’s got crowded pretty quickly and the noise level really increased along with the volume of the music which almost because uncomfortable. Tables are so close together, that there really cannot be any type of «private» conversation. You hear your adjacent table mates stories whether you wish to or not. Great deal with Unilocal Checkin at Louie’s, you can get a free glass of their house«tap» wine when you purchase an entrée. I tried the Cabernet, brand is Old Soul and it was very ooaky with a bit of smoke. Very tasty. Overall, a pretty good dining experience as long as you are aware of how close the tables are and how loud the atmosphere gets. No quiet dining here.

This place is definitely THE place to go in Omaha if you’re looking for a brunch with bottomless mimosas. I don’t know about you but when I want brunch, what I really mean is that I want somewhere where I can enjoy all the champagne I want. Oh, with a little juice too. At only $ 12, and with FOUR different juices to continuously choose from, this may just be the best deal for bottomless mimosas I’ve ever come across. Louie’s is the perfect place for Sunday brunch with your girlfriends. They may not have a huge food menu for brunch, but what they do have is good. The Hippie Sandy seem like your typical breakfast sandwich you could make at home, but the maple aioli is what really makes the dish just so so good. The crab cakes Benedict is another great option, along with the Rise and Shine birder if you want something a little more lunch and not so breakfast. The service at times can be a bit slow, but I often attribute that to a full restaurant and everyone wanting a continuous stream of mimosas.

The service is so bad that it makes you want to either get up and leave or strangle the next server you see that walks by and deliberately ignores you. I’ve been here a few times since it’s close to where I live, and it’s always the same treatment. The food is mediocre and wayyy overpriced. A bowl of phở and an iced tea was $ 21. You can go down the street and get double the phở for $ 10 at Viet Omelet. Plus, Louie’s uses fettuccini noodles instead of Asian noodles, blech. Good steak in the phở though. Don’t mean to sound too much like a germaphobe, but I saw the waitress take out my straw while refilling my tea and then put it back in my tea, yuck!!! She couldn’t give me a new straw? In summary, stay very far away!!!

Outstanding service and food. We live close and never ventured in. The name confused us. We’ll be back. Gluten free fish and chips… I mean come on who wouldn’t. The waitress was sweet. Priced about what you’d expect. Nothing over $ 20. Mine was $ 13 and was really nice.

Heard a lot of hype about this place and thought I’d finally check it out. Came around 2 hours prior to closing to catch up with a girlfriend. There was still a decent amount of people in there. Ordered a sangria to start. It was just«okay.» Nothing special about it. We shared the baby got back ribs and mussels as an appetizer. The ribs were absolutely delectable. The marinade was what made it. It came along with some seasoned fries which were cooked very well. Not too crispy, not too soft — just right! There was a sauce that came along on the side(tastes similar to the rib marinade, but concentrated) is perfect to dip the fries in. The mussels were a big ol’ disappointment. They were so incredibly tiny and more than half were just shells. They were topped with what I believed to be garlic bread. Didn’t bother to eat it since I didn’t want to be filled up on mostly carbs. The sauce the mussels were in were just ok; hardly any flavor. Slightly cool when we received it so it added to the disappointment. I ordered the fish and frites. I just wanted something fishy. It came out literally 5 minutes after my appetizers arrived. Fried well and the fries are the same ones that came along with the baby got back ribs. Tartar sauce was standard, no malt vinegar provided. My friend ordered the pork chops. She only ate a bite and took the rest home. She never mentioned her thoughts about it. Our server was nowhere to be found when we first arrived. The host/other server took care of us for about 20 minutes before our actual server decided to show up. He was very attentive, a little TOO attentive. I can’t remember his name but he began inserting himself into our conversations. He was very forward and awkward; asked us about helping him find a girlfriend out of nowhere. When he brought boxes to our table, I said we could take care of them since we were still snacking, but he insisted that he be the one who does that. He boxed them at the table! I wouldn’t have a problem with that, BUT he used his bare hands to get our food in them. I don’t know where his hands have been, but as a former server… they can’t be clean enough to place our food in their boxes with his bare hands!!! I was so grossed out. When he came to my plate, I told him«no» and that I would rather do it myself. He got snappy at me and tried to play it off. We eventually left an hour before closing, ONLY due to the server becoming impatient with us. He might as well be escorting us out to our cars, it was annoying. Luckily the food made up for the service, but I hope I never have him as a server in the future.

I ordered their barbecue Baby back ribs and it was really good. Their sangria pitcher for happy hour is great! The pitcher was big and tasted good. For the main course, I tried their phở wagyu. It was good but I’m vietnamese and I am very picky about my phở so it’s not as I expected but the broth was still good. Atmosphere was great and definitely love my server. She was really nice and came by a lot to check up on us.

Ugh, no. While this place seems to be quite busy catering to the West O Gen-X crowd, our visits have been quite hit and miss, and mostly miss. We first came in shortly after they opened, and the noise level was almost too much. My phone’s decibel meter app put it at 90+, way too loud even for across-the table conversation. Subsequent visits have been a little quieter, but on our last one the food(appetizers) ended up giving us both stomach ailments; not something we’re looking to purchase in our meals out. The food can be good, or just okay. The service can be good, or just okay. The wine prices are a bit high for my liking, especially with Brix only a few miles away offering near-daily deals on wine and food. Keep your Lexus-driving crowd, Louie’s. They likely can’t tell the difference.

Prices suck. Food sucks. Wine was good but pricey. Wait staff… ugh, ok. I won’t be back. We spent way too much money for mediocre food. You have to have deep pockets with screwed up taste buds to enjoy this place. I had the steak… it was the most bland tasting steak that I’ve ever had. I would love to show the owners how to make a good steak… Louie, if you are reading… I will show your staff how NOT to cook out the flavor in a steak. The shrimp salad… had literally three shrimp in it… lol! A little baffled about that. The deviled eggs were very good though.
