I saw this place listed in Unilocal,it was rated quite highly. So, I decided to go visit, as I am from NY, not NE. Well, I ordered an egg and hash selection, and thought I would try a smoothie they were advertising. The smoothie was, no kidding, 80 percent ice. When I said something to the waitress, she told me that is what they tell us to do. The ice, with a drop of smoothie, cost 4 bucks. That was fifty percent of the meal! I wrote the general manager, no response at all. This place is a ripoff; stay away.

We have been eating here a few times a week for the last few years. The food tastes awesome and is very fresh. I am a picky egg eater and they are the one place that will make my eggs just the way I like them. We love the staff here — they are like family.

The food is excellent here. They have real corned beef and hash which I love. The service is usually spot on. I do knock one star because when they serve the pancakes they don’t bring out the syrup at the same time. It’s usually a few minutes later. Once it got delivered to the wrong table by a food runner and it took us 5 minutes to flag someone down.

Great service and the best breakfast around. You will not leave hungry. Guaranteed. The green chili hash is fantastic.

Good food. One of the better Ruben’s I had and the service was fine too. New waitress got trained but she had it down. Breakfast burrito was good, Cobb salad looked a bit busy.

Love this diner experience. I will say it gets crazy busy at about 9:00 on Saturday mornings… but when we go about 8:15 it is pretty empty! Staff is always very attentive to coffee needs(something I love) creamer is good, love the omelets and pancakes!

This place rocks! We stumbled upon it after getting our butts kicked across the street at Kosama, on St. Paddy’s no less. The greeter was friendly, the server was great and the menu was amazing! Sine it was the Ides of March, the corned beef hash and eggs were a must. I love me some corned beef and this is probably some of the best that I’ve had… so flavorful and not plopped out of a can. The eggs were super tasty too and I’m not usually a fan of restaurant eggs. They had just the amount of buttery goodness and fluff. The meal came with an english muffin or toast. It was also served with a side of hollandaise sauce, I didn’t try it since my meal was perfect as is. I will definitely be back but hopefully not too soon since going to work out and pigging out right after is probably not the best nutrition plan… haha.

Tried this place for the 1st time about a month ago and we have been here 3 times since then. Totally love the breakfast, I was amazed with the Blueberry Pancake, not only is it huge but it is so tasty and the blueberries are awesome! Also I have had the Raisin French Toast and it was wonderful, really like that the syrup is warm. Hubby loves the Belgium Waffle, soft and warm. Next we will try lunch, but breakfast is so good it will be hard to stir away! Good for families!

This is the cleanest restaurant! The staff are courteous, efficient, and friendly. I’ve eaten breakfast here about 10 times and have never been dissatisfied. I’ve tried all of their 6 types of eggs Benedict’s and they’re fantastic. This is my «go to» breakfast spot.

First time here. My wife recommended it and we agreed after going through Unilocal reviews. Nothing out of control special, just a very good breakfast. Waitress was always around refilling our coffee. Very friendly, nice, and clean place. I was surprised it wasn’t more busy. Our omelets were very very good. Fresh and well cooked. We would go again if we were ever in the area.

My first time here with my sister. She ordered the flapper, 2 bacon, toast & egg. I had the raspberry granola pancakes. All their pancakes are huge. 10″ plate size. Very filling. I made it a combo meal. I didn’t want the bacon or sausage with the two eggs for $ 3. I asked if I could make it 5 egg whites instead & they were accommodating. Don’t care for the Hazelnut coffee much Helpful & Friendly staff Looking forward to next visit to try apple cinnamon pancakes.

Excellent. Visited from out of town. I’ve been to others in other cities so I thought I’d give it a try. It was busy on Sunday morning, but they got us in quick after a short wait. Food and service was great! Prices were fair.

Really good food, great service and a great atmosphere. I like that most things on the menu are made with whole wheat. The wait staff doesn’t linger or interrupt too often, which is nice… I’m there to eat, not chat.

Great breakfast choices. Food was served as requested and was hot and fresh. Coffee was good also! Prices were a bit high for breakfast, but they do have a unique menu and all was good.

The service is some of the best I’ve had at ANY restaurant in Omaha. The food is fresh, tasty, and the restaurant itself has a cute, comfortable atmosphere. The servers are some of the friendliest I’ve had at any restaurant — you can tell they really care, and the smiles are truly genuine!

This place is your average breakfast place with average service and not exactly cheap prices. MBA Frittata was dynamite and will keep me coming back but $ 3 for OJ and $ 2.40 for below average coffee will make me hesitate. Ranch potatoes = good Biscuits and gravy = average, nothing special Loaded ranch potatoes we very good and might be the best deal on the menu.

Okay, I have tried it here several times, but the last visit was my last. Dining here with my five year old daughter, I noticed several ants crawling up her arm. I looked at the booth she was sitting in and saw a swarm of ants looking mighty hungry. I moved us to another table and although the manager seemed sincerely upset, she still charged us for our meal. I wasn’t looking for a freebie, but she should have tried harder to make this right.

Ive been to The Egg & I twice this week … not intentionally really … it just turned out that way. On my first visit I tried the veggie benedict. On this not-so-busy Monday morning, our meal arrived quickly. This tasty benedict hit the spot. The rich chopped portobello mushrooms, asparagus and artichokes were a nice combination. The hollandaise sauce was good and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The potatoes that were served along side were a bit salty and my friend agreed. This morning(a busy Saturday — even still so a bit after 10:30) I found myself again at TE&I this time with dear husband. The hostess greeted us but then seemed to have a problem sitting tables in their order, but none the less we were seated fairly quickly. Our waiter was friendly enough but seemed a little frazzled. Even with the crowd, our food arrived in a descent amount of time. I opted for one giant pancake, two eggs and crispy bacon. My pancake was good. The menu stated whole wheat flour and my mind immediately hesitated thinking perhaps it could be «weighty» but my giant cake was anything but. it was fluffy and had crisp griddle seared edges. The eggs were as ordered and the bacon was good and did not have that«fake smoke» flavoring that I find at a few other breakfast spots. Dear husband ordered the breakfast burrito. It came looking a bit more«lunch-like» than breakfast. It was covered with a dollop of sour cream, and another plop of dismal looking guacamole and a mix of lettuce and tomato. Upon the first taste DH gave me a look. «Something tastes different» he said. I sampled his dish and we both agreed that the«Mexican sausage» as described on the menu was perhaps just«over oregano-ed» normal sausage. Perhaps what was intended to give the dish a hint of freshness, instead gave it more of a hint of minty cleanser. His burrito was served with the same salty potatoes I had disliked earlier in the week, but DH liked them with a splattering of TE&I’s hot sauce. In the end DH was glad I was unable to conquer my giant cake, and he happily finished it for me.
